For several hours, vehicular traffic was blocked to the west of Huila because of two landslides that occurred at the site known as La Resaca where conditions of instability in the ground caused them to fall to the road about 4 thousand cubic meters of earth and stone.

This definitely sounds like a rolling wave to me the way it is described. More of a shifting than a breaking jolt. I have been in several large earthquakes and this one is how I describe a rolling wave as well. Must have been a "long" fault - like shifting of a continent beginning to move - to roll.
