Venezuela experienced 3 significant quakes as follows:
a 3.2 below the Orinoco at the edge of the Guyana formation on August 8, 2010
The next significant one, because of its magnitude was a 4.4 August 13, 2010 North of Guyana, towards the Eastern Caribbean-North Southamerica area, left of the Orinoco Delta
And yesterday, a 4.9 (August 14, 2010), around the area where the Gas offshore well sunk

By "roll" is it meant that the continent of S. America will turn its southern tip to the left of the map with the northern edge remaining somewhat stationary or does it mean that the western edge will roll downward and the eastern edge upward or neither or both?

The North Part of South America: Venezuela, Colombia, will move to the West, Pushing/Subducting the South of the Caribbean Plate down, The Lesser Antilles, will be unde rwater, parts of Central America too. And the North Part of the Caribbean Plate will be Up off the Water!
The movement of the Graph will be reversed!
But
The Tip of South America in Chile/Argentina is trapped in the Antartic Plate, it only will rotate according to the West.

The consequences of the daily seismic activity at the local level: The case of the Ibague-Armenia road.
Due to landslides, the Ibague-Armenia route will only be reopened tomorrow

The road, which communicates Armenia with Ibague and the continues towards Cali and Buenaventura, has a daily circulation of more than 7,000 vehicles, mainly freight.

A landslide of 30 thousand cubic meters of earth, which fell on Wednesday (Aug 18,2010) night,
blocked the major highway at the level of kilometer 43, near the city of Cajamarca (Tolima) on the way to the top of the hill.

Carlos Fernando Mendez, director of Invias in Tolima, said that a second landslide that fell this morning (August 19, 2010) further complicated the situation for thousands of buses, tractor-trailers, trucks and service vehicles including private vehicles traveling to the West of the country or vice versa.

Invias, with three crawler excavators, 4 loaders and 15 double dump trucks, was able to remove about 18,000 cubic meters of earth. "We have 12 thousand more cubic meters to safely clear the 200-meter stretch of road that was clogged," said Mendez.
At times the situation is complicated since it was not easy to find a nearby site available to deposit such amount of land.
"If we threw land down the mountain, it would fall to the waters of the Vermilion River, and create a dam, so we decided to transport it in double dump trucks to a secluded spot that was approved by the Regional Autonomous Corporation of Tolima, therefore, this has delayed clearing the road, "says the director of Invías Tolima.
Mendez explained that the road ascending to La Linea hill is a slope deforested, and saturated by rain water. These were the causes that resulted in the landslide.
Tolima Relief agencies reported it has not yet been possible to find the body of a worker who was allegedly dragged by the second collapse. This is Carlos Leyton, 34, who worked in the clearing of the two way road.
"We moved heaven and earth and the body is still missing," says a member of the Tolima Civil Defense.
The relief agency says that hundreds of drivers who remained stranded on the road, chose to return with their cars to Armenia and to Ibague.
