A stream ran into the center of Barranquilla and swept away dozens of cars.
A heavy rain paralyzed the capital of the Atlantic for two hours on Saturday.
Almost a hundred private vehicles and public service were swept away by a strong stream in the center of the city.
The case was registered on 50th street with carrera 43, downtown, opposite the former headquarters of the Atlantic University and one block from the Metropolitan Police Command, when the vehicles expected to come down the waters and were surprised by stream flows passing through the sector.
Witnesses said it was a sudden increased amazed to drivers who wait until after the storm. The situation creates panic among the passengers of taxis and buses that were inside the car and had to leave the windows.
This is the third shower of the year in Barranquilla. The rain which began at noon and lasted almost three hours emergencies caused by flooding in neighborhoods and paralysis in the city by the streams.

Rescue miners trapped in coal mine in Colombia
Eight trapped miners were rescued alive on Tuesday after spending six hours trapped in a coal mining in southwestern Colombia, the Red Cross said.

According to local authorities, these people, who walked out of the mine, were trapped more than 90 meters while the situation was not as critical because they were given oxygen and medical assistance during their time in that situation.

The Red Cross, Civil Defence, Scouts, clop, Police and Fire Departments attended the emergency with the help of other miners.
Initially, it was announced that once they were rescued, the miners would be taken to the Clinica de los Remedios and Sebastian de Belalcazar, however it was not necessary because it came in good health.

Caracas .- Due to heavy rains in the state of Tachira, public safety agencies evacuated 170 families from the area of El Hatico, Seboruco municipality, the minister of Interior and Justice (MIJ), Tarek El Aissami.
