The situation with the water in Vargas, is not solved, 18 days after repairs began, the pipe rupturing in other places while being fixed. The international Airport bathrooms require the use of buckets, and the available quantities amount to drips. Rains provides plenty, used for toillets, but without portable water destillation systems, people goes thirsty.

The inhabitants of Santiago, tourist town of Norte de Santander, fear that the Cerro La Cruz devour the people and destruction occur Gramalote similar to last December. In addition to this threat, Peralonso river flow has increased due to harsh winter plaguing the department.
