Rio-Niteroi Bridge remains without power for 20 hours

No lighting since the early morning hours of Wednesday, the Rio-Niteroi bridge will have only solved the problem on Thursday (17).

Information is the concessionaire CCR, which administers the bridge. Users experience the 13 km bridge without electricity for more than 20 hours.

The problem was caused by a short circuit in a substation of the bridge, responsible for distributing energy to two other passages, one next to a toll.

Another incident in the main substation of the bridge, still in the early morning, left the entire length without power.

Venezuela's Gramoven Mountain on the move

Today in Colombia Caracol noticias, the cronicles of "Rivers being chocked" presents the mudslides, the floodings as the result of the hand on man, changing the environment to eventually cause the problems observed.  They do not mention how rocks get loosened when there is a subduction, even though they have subductions in the Caribbean and in the Pacific.

As we approach the move west, hundreds of kilometers west, perusing the Colombian newspapers, two papers present the history of the region, as if an effort, a SEMANTIC one is being made to get viewers to start blaming themselves and their recent past for their current state of affairs.  A thrid one, reads "Nothing happens on earth that is not determined by God."

Then, the coverup, is giving the passage a twist, because lemons also give juice.  I wonder if giving people a guilt trip, one that mentions the cutting of trees as the culprits of mountain slides, is pointing to a coverup that goes into ingrained beliefs, including religious ones, using these to their temporary advantage, together with the development of cities that "chocked" rivers.

But, the 7 of 10, well underway, will dispel any disbelief or guilt currently held or nourished. Then, people will certainly confront those that denied them the explanation that informs the mind, with reasoning and logic, the Zeta's explanation of the arrival of a long orbit magnetic planet, affecting our earth, changing it and changing us.

In the mean time, these news are worth mentioning

Follow up sinkhole Mogalavita, Pantano Grande Colombia.  October 2010 the residents of a neighborhood close to Mojalavita were surprised by the the sudden appearance of a sinkhole, and were forced to move in a hurry, their homes cracking, their schools and roads; the sinkhole expanding faster that expected.

Earth sinks in Pantano Grande
The peace in this village of Molagavita was altered this week when the earth began to roar and 'swallow' the houses and the road. Its inhabitants had to be evacuated.

  http://www.vanguardia.com/economia/local/video-78431-se-hunde-la-ti...

March 16, a student at the University did a follow up and published the status of the sinkhole 5 months later, homes and all structures literally "swallowed" by the earth.  The picture remind me of an expression we use in Spanish when ashame of ourselves we wish to disappear so we say "tragame tierra." (swallow me earth).  I think now I understand this expression can be literal.

The semester IX student of Social Communication and Journalism at the Universidad Autonoma de Bucaramanga, Carlos Andrés López Porras, made a trip to Pantano Grande, municipality of Santander Molagavita to represent in images how the land because of erosion and strong Winter destroyed an entire population.

In the 5 months after picture, the hole has water, as the rains have filled the cavity.  I imagine myself walking after the sun comes back, after the shift, in the aftertime, and finding a spot looking like that, and telling the children, aqui, "se los trago la tierra" during the shift.

thanks for all your updates, Mariaelisa !

Yes, it´s pathetic that whole populations are made to believe that God s punishing them and/or they are to blame themselves (but probably never the responsible people)...

Self-criticism and scrutiny is fine. It doesn´t solve the problems that don´t belong with the people who don´t have a say in problem-solving..

Venezuela from March 12 (4 quakes in Punto Fijo or Paraguana Peninsula -below Curacao) to March 19, with Guayana shake (2.9 mag.)

Earthquake of 4.4 degrees in the Valley does not leave affected persons
An earthquake of magnitude 4.4 on the Richter scale was recorded Sunday in the department of Valle and the coffee, said the National Seismological Network, while relief agencies said that there are no known casualties or damage.
According to the report from the Seismological Network, the quake occurred at 08:39 am and its epicenter was the town of Cairo in the Valley, at a depth of 97.7 kilometers.
The quake was felt with some intensity in the center and west of the country, especially in the city of Armenia, capital of Quindio department, which in January 1999 suffered an earthquake with a balance of about 2000 dead.
However, Juan Lopez, a member of the Fire Department of Armenia, said that while there were "many calls from people concerned, there were no reports of damage or casualties developments in the city or in the coffee departments. "

Given the depth, it was reported as felt by many people, so it was strongly felt.  Depth no longer seems to matter, people is more aware. Nancy says people perceives something is wrong, but they get no clear answers from others, the authority covers up.

It was reported by Ingeominas as the last seism. However, I am surprised I could not find this quake listed on the Google Map of Ingeominas weekly seisms site (the one that reports now the seisms on a daily basis), eventhough it occurred at 8:30 am Colombia time, and UTC will place it on the March 20th date too

Ecuador

After a reporting hiatus of last quake February 23, today we get official news

Sismo 4.3 a 12 km de la ciudad de EL CHACO el 20-03-2011 06:39:43 TL

This makes a 4.4 in Colombia, a 4.3 in Ecuador, and a 5 plus in Chile, as we move west over Nazca.
