PORT-OF-SPAIN - On Thursday 14th July at 2:36 a.m., local time, an earthquake occurred north of Paria Peninsula. The event was located at 11.19°N, 61.92°W. The preliminary magnitude was 4.1 and the depth was 64 km.

Maracaibo .- A failure in the domestic gas service affects many communities in Maracaibo and San Francisco from Saturday afternoon until past noon on Sunday.
President of the Autonomous Service for the Supply of Gas in Maracaibo (Sagas), Nora Barboza reported that the decline is due to the explosion of a section of pipeline Trans "Antonio Ricaurte."
