UK elite eyeing up another African country for the aftertime (update)

Despite Somalia having had no central government since 1991, suffering from two decades of civil war and being widely considered a failed state, David Cameron has somehow come to the conclusion that NOW is the time to convene a summit to discuss, among other things, the possibility of military intervention as Somalia is now 'a threat to British interests.'

Much easier than trying to take over a sovereign African nation instead, I imagine! :-)

the UN may talk of action against the pirates, but I don't see that the UK and the US are mentioning the UN when it comes to their intentions  - they are selecting their own targets, with no other goal in their minds other than to gain control of such an easy target as Somalia presents compared to other African countries.

They know that anywhere on the African continent will do well in surviving the poleshift and the rise in sea level afterwards -  and Somalia is ripe for the picking!

one simple answer - absolutely nothing - let them play their little war games.  It's been stated repeatedly by the Zetas that whatever they do, they will be in the same situation after the PS as the common man regardless of what sort of cards they think they have to play - a true level playing field.:-)

What annoys me is that, even after the complete failure of what the Iraq war was supposed to achieve, tptb are still using the media and inventing fictitious reasons to invade other countries for the personal gain of the elite and with the obvious result of the suffering of the many in the countries they intend to invade.

If you thought Cameron was any better than Blair then think again - the only difference is that Blair has already got so much blood on his hands from Iraq and Cameron hasn't from his military escapades  - YET :-)

Just give him time it seems!

Now turning into a bigger push in the US media too - David Cameron beating the drum saying that global security rests on dealing with Somalia!  Ridiculous, but from the sounds of it, expect that military action of some kind is probably not far away.

in the news again today - the plans moving forward another stage to selecting potential targets and garnering support from other EU countries and the US.

quote:

"There was no political will on this to begin with, but that has been changing. We know where the camps are, where they set up and where they launch from."

"It is believed the British, Dutch, French and Americans would be the most likely to support military action, if the need arose.
The US is already taking great interest in Somalia and has begun missile strikes from unmanned drones against members of al-Shabaab"
