Since the end of November 2012, an unprecedented number of landslides have occurred across southwestern England, destroying homes, burying roads, railways, and leaving many homeless. These "landslips" have been attributed by the media to the nearly continuous inundations that have plagued the U.K. in recent months. However, a recap of notable events since 2011 reveals there is more to the story.
In mid- March 2012, a massive section of cliff wall collapsed into the Strait of Dover in southeast England. Later in the month, a leaking gas well off northeastern Scotland spewed gas uncontrollably for many weeks. In August 2011, an oil pipeline rupture located 150 miles east of Aberdeen, Scotland caused one of the worst North Sea oil spills in history.
The Zetas explain:
"The region of the Aberdeen oil leak is neither a plate border nor fault line. But it does lie in the area destined to be pulled down during the plate movements preceding the pole shift and certainly during the pole shift itself. We have predicted that Ireland, Scotland, and Wales will be pulled down to a greater extent than England herself. What happens when plates are bent in this way, pulled down because the plate border in the mid-Atlantic has weakened, a void on one side of this plate border? Rock layers bend, and snap, and certainly destabilize..." ZetaTalk

White Cliffs of Dover Suffer Another Collapse (Mar 24)
(Courtesy of KM)
Tonnes of chalk crashed into the English Channel between Dover and Deal in Kent when part of the cliff-face sheared off leaving a giant mound on the shore near St Margaret's Bay.
Dover Coastguard said a bench and fencing which sat on the cliff-top were also sent tumbling to the base, prompting warnings to coastal walkers.
Fortunately, no one was hurt.
A similar collapse saw a chunk of the cliff-face slip in March last year.
A Dover Coastguard spokesman said: 'There was a similar fall in 2012 but this one is smaller than that one. A bench and fence have gone down with it.
'The cliff-fall extends about 150 yards from the base of the cliff towards the sea at ground level, and the fall is about 15ft to 20ft high.'
150-Foot Chasm Opens on Ocean Cliff in Dorset (Mar 16)
(Courtesy of KM)
A landslip opened up a 150ft-long crevasse between Redcliff Point and Bowleaze Cove along the Jurassic Coastline in Dorset.
Rambler David Fry, 59, was with his wife and a neighbour when they came across the chasm, which is up to 4ft wide and 6ft deep. ‘We are used to seeing cracks but not ones of this huge size,’ he said.
There’s a danger land that has become separated will move further.

It could be Britain's most expensive property collapse with over £6million worth of cliff top houses creeping towards destruction after of one of the wettest years on record.
Residents who thought they had decades left in the 12 properties affected in Sidmouth, Devon, fear the crumbling coastline could give way imminently.
John Radford, 62, who has owned 1 Cliff Road in the resort for 45 years is the street's longest-standing resident.

UK Railroad Track Buckles Vertically Due to Landslip? (Feb 12)
What is clearly a rise and buckling of the tracks from below is attributed to a landslip.
"RAIL passengers were facing significant delays today after tracks were buckled by a landslip on a colliery spoil tip in Yorkshire.
Network Rail said it had been forced to close the line between Doncaster, Goole and Scunthorpe after the track became unsafe.
It is understood a train driver first reported concerns about the uneven track close to Hatfield Colliery, near Doncaster, as far back as Saturday.
A spokesman for the firm said it had called in specialist civil engineers to tackle the problem but could not predict how long that would take.

Major Landslide on Southern UK Beach (Feb 10)
Officials sealed off Monmouth Beach after a 300 metre stretch of cliff fell onto the shore near Lyme Regis, Dorset.
Lyme artist Julie Oldfield, who is busy with a project on landslips, saw it happening around mid-morning.
She said: “I was on the beach collecting driftwood and I saw it all come down.
“It kept going on and on for ages.
“The dramatic bits were the trees coming down because the noise was quite loud.
“As I was trying to walk back along the beach I kept having to turn around because I heard these big loud crashes.
“It was so absorbing watching it, you can’t leave, it was mesmerising.”
The Maritime Coastguard Agency has also advised people to keep away from the area.
A spokesman for the coastguard said it was a large landslip.
He said: “Apparently some members of the public saw this happening and saw there was nobody underneath.

More Than 35 "Significant" Cliff Falls Along Cornwall's Coastline Since November 2012 (Feb 5)
Along the South West Coast Path in Cornwall, 18 routes are currently closed because of the cliff falls.
Richard Hocking, the council's soils and materials engineer, said: "In some areas we have witnessed catastrophic collapses whilst in others the whole cliff line has merely slumped".
David Attwell, the authority's principal countryside officer, said: "Council staff can't recall a more challenging time for the management of beaches or footpath network across Cornwall."
Landslips and cliff falls are occurring more frequently across the south-west of England, with 21 serious landslips in the past 6 weeks alone, compared to just 11 in the past 5 years.

A clifftop house that was bought at auction without being seen or surveyed by the buyer has started to collapse after the latest in a series of devastating landslides.
Ridgemont House, which lies just yards from the edge of Oddicombe Cliffs in Torquay, Devon, has now begun to crumble and sag.
It made the news three years ago when a landslide hit it just a week after the six-bedroom property had been sold at auction to retired police officer Sue Diamond for £154,000.

Another Cornwall Beach Closed Indefinitely Due to Landslip (Feb 4)
A landslip has closed Whipsiderry beach in Newquay, possibly for 'several months'.
There have been a 'significant number' of cliff falls around Cornwall and nineteen sections of the Cornwall's coast path are currently closed.
Whipsiderry beach, just north of popular family beach Porth, has been closed by Cornwall Council whilst they evaluate the risks and possibility of future failure of the cliff.
Members of the public are urged to be vigilant when using beaches by not resting underneath cliffs or straying towards the seaward side of the coast path, particularly in areas where it is in close proximity to the cliff top.
