Active Ground Motion in North Carolina and South Carolina, as of 2014/12/05

[Kojima]

A certain characteristic motion wave, a large wave like a very complex serration continuing rhythmically for a few hours, was recorded at ten stations in North Caroline and South Caroline on November 19, 2014.

I checked the ground motion of 49 stations in North Caroline and South Caroline in REV.

I found the stations which showed serration wave or big motion, Jolt, Jiggle, etc.

I showed a map of these stations and the example of ground motion of each stations.

Ground motion getting active in North Caroline and South Caroline seems to be related to the recent progress of the bowing of the N American Plate and must be due to a diagonal stress on the N American continent, pulling the SE down into the crumbling Caribbean and into the widening Atlantic.
