Altering Earthquakes:
As of late, I have observed that USGS and EMSC are a bit lax on their reports of earthquakes. Sometimes not seeing anything reported for hours from the last update, or seeing periods of 90-200 minutes with no earthquakes in between. My question is, are they leaving swarms of earthquakes out of their reports, or there are actually periods of no earthquakes?
SOZT: Greater than 90% of the earthquake activity is being altered by the USGS at present, which is under orders to prevent any clue being given to the public about the Earth changes caused by the presence of Planet X. Over a decade ago, the approach was to de-sensitize the live seismographs periodically, so the displays do not turn black worldwide, and to ignore the twice-a-day patterns showing up on these seismographs. Then any quakes that could be dropped were dropped. This was obvious to some who were watching the database manipulation. Quakes in the list would suddenly disappear. This was particularly the case where a quake happened in a remote location, or out in the ocean. Dumbing down the magnitude quickly followed, but in order to ensure the public did not notice, the USGS took control of all websites reporting quake statistics. At times, this control breaks, and discrepancies are reported to the public. Some countries rebel. Quake swarms are another source of control, as they pepper the databases with many quakes and skew the statistics, and thus are pulled from the database. Else the question is raised, why so many? EOZT
Will the USGS internet system be a reliable warning system for the European tsunami by registering on the net the New Madrid earthquake on the exact time it occurs?
SOZT: It will not be a lack of information from the USGS that will be the point of confusion during the earthquakes leading up to the New Madrid adjustment, it will be knowing which quake is the big one vs the many minor quakes preceding it. The USGS downgrades almost all earthquakes, to prevent meaningful statistics from being generated from their databases. They also exclude quakes whenever they can, but this is unlikely to happen in the New Madrid area as it is in the center of a populated land mass. Thus you will have magnitude 6 quakes that will be called a 5.2, magnitude 7 quakes called a 6.1, and when a magnitude 8 or greater quake occurs, it will be called a 6.9.
We would advise that rather than watching the USGS quake statistics, that you watch the Earth changes. The adjustment that will incite the European tsunami will involve bridges on the Mississippi breaking, and being impassable. The land to the west of the Mississippi will drop so that the Mississippi will become 50 miles wide in the state of Mississippi. Watch for this. The New Madrid adjustment will be several large quakes of magnitude 8-9, though will be listed as a lesser magnitude. As the N American continent continues to unzip up to and along the Seaway, the quakes will be less than a magnitude 8 but very destructive to Cleveland and Toledo and Buffalo and the inland locks along the Seaway. Thus it is not what the USGS says that should be watched, but the condition of the bridges on the Mississippi, the impact on the cities along the Seaway, and whether the inland locks are reported as inoperable. EOZT

March 8 2019
JAY, Fla. – Officials say a rare earthquake has hit the Florida Panhandle, though it didn't pack much of a punch.
The U.S. Geological Survey reports that the magnitude 2.6 earthquake occurred late Wednesday night in Santa Rosa County, just south of the Alabama border.
Geologists say the earthquake was strong enough to be felt but too weak to do significant damage. More than a dozen people reported tremors to the USGS website.
Earthquakes are rare in Florida, which isn't located near the edges of any tectonic plates or fault lines. A magnitude 3.7 earthquake was recorded near Daytona Beach in 2016, but it was triggered by U.S. Navy testing that involved a man-made explosion. Before that, a magnitude 5.9 earthquake occurred in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico in 2006, but no major damage was reported.

Johannesburg “earthquake”: Early morning tremor leaves Gauteng shook
https://www.thesouthafrican.com/johannesburg-earthquake-magnitude-l...
March has started with a bang in Gauteng, after an "earthquake" was recorded just before 7:00.
Residents of Johannesburg started Friday morning with a small-scale earthquake, which is also being labelled as a tremor. It has been reported by several seismologists that the tremor took place at 6:56 SAST, with some institutions measuring it at 4.6 on the Richter Scale.
People took to social media to share their experiences, with reports of the quake being felt in Krugersdorp, Soweto and Roodepoort:
Johannesburg earthquake – what we know so far:
According to CEI Sismologia – the Mexican earthquake research team who provide live global updates of these tremors – this earth-moving incident had a range of 102 kilometres. It’s reported that six stations based in the area also recorded the geological phenomenon. As it stands, no serious injuries or deaths have been reported.
The quake itself managed to trigger several warning systems, including Chile’s “Alerta App”. The South American country is used as a hub for seismic investigation, and they were quick on the case to report the news. Their warning simply reads: “Earthquake in progress in South Africa”.

Strong earthquake swarm 100 km north of Kolbeinsey island
http://www.jonfr.com/volcano/
During the night of 28-February-2019, starting on 27-February-2019 an strong earthquake swarm took place 100 km north of Kolbeinsey island. I don’t know if this was just a earthquake swarm or an eruption. The area is far from the coast and remote because of that. Depth of the ocean at this location is around 1 to 3 km and that makes any eruption invisible on the surface of the ocean.

Surrey earthquake 'shakes houses'
https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-47383611
One of the largest earthquakes since a "swarm" of tremors began in the area last year has been felt in Surrey and parts of Sussex.
The quake occurred about 2km below the surface near Newdigate, the British Geological Survey (BGS) said.
The tremor was felt at 03:42 GMT and measured 3.1, making it the biggest earthquake of the current "swarm".
One resident of Redhill said his house was shaking for between four and five seconds.
Dr Stephen Hicks, a seismologist from Imperial College London, tweeted: "Looks like another strongly felt earthquake as part of the Surrey seismic swarm this morning.
"The depth and location looks like it's the same as all the other earthquakes we've had in the region since April last year.
"I've had lots of reports, so it seems like it was felt by a lot of people."
He said the quake was very shallow, meaning many people had felt it "quite strongly."
People on social media suggested the tremor was felt in Crawley, West Sussex, as well as Leigh in Surrey.
The quake is the fourth to have been felt in the area in the last two weeks with a smaller tremor felt on Valentine's Day, and two more on 19 February.

Residents are urged to stay calm in the wake of 40 aftershocks.

The 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck just south of Point MacKenzie, Alaska, with an epicentre seven miles (11.4 km) from Anchorage, the US Geological Survey said. It had a depth of 26.7 miles (43 km).
Alaska‘s Governor Bill Walker has declared a state of disaster, and officials are starting to assess the damage to roads and buildings.
There are reports of building and bridge collapses, and thousands are without power, however, there are no reports of deaths or major injuries.
So far, officials have registered 40 aftershocks: many over magnitude four.
The Alaska Earthquake Centre is telling people to remain calm – saying the aftershocks are nerve-racking, but they are what they would expect for such a strong earthquake.
Earlier, the National Weather Service initially said there was no tsunami danger, but a few minutes later the agency said on Twitter that there was a warning in place for Cook Inlet, which links Anchorage with the Gulf of Alaska. It was later cancelled.

Traffic in midtown Anchorage came to a standstill after the quake and CNN reported that television station KTUU, an NBC affiliate, was knocked off the air. CBS said its affiliate KTVA was also off the air.
“Thought the house was going to come apart,” Anchorage-based climatologist Brian Brettschneider wrote on Twitter, posting a picture of his kitchen floor scattered with items that had fallen from cupboards.
Well that was fun. M6.6 earthquake centered right under Anchorage. Thought the house was going to come apart.
— Brian Brettschneider ()
The quake was initially reported as having a 6.7 magnitude.

Around 300,000 people live in Anchorage with 100,000 in the surrounding area.
White House press secretary Sarah Sanders tweeted that US President Donald Trump had been briefed on the quake and was “monitoring damage reports”.
An earthquake of magnitude 7.0 and higher can cause, at a minimum, considerable damage in normal structures and can destroy poorly constructed structures, according to the USGS.
Officials are encouraging people to use social media and text messages to loved ones as phone lines may be overwhelmed.
The President has been briefed on the earthquake near Anchorage, Alaska, and is monitoring damage reports. We are praying for the safety of all Alaskans!
— Sarah Sanders ()
The quake has also caused roads to break apart and other structures to collapse. Locals have also shared images of buildings on fire in the aftermath.
Air and rail travel has been disrupted by the quake as well. One of the state‘s largest internal airline services has suspended operations until midday.

Local resident Travis Starling told the there is currently no power or water and most radio stations are off air as aftershocks continue.
Mr Starling said that at this time of year, the state sees only six hours of daylight: “We‘re fortunate on timing… this happened just at sunrise.”
“The aftershocks of the one today have been worse than any earthquake I‘ve ever been in before,” he said.
Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin tweeted that her home was damaged in the quake.
for Alaska. Our family is intact – house is not… I imagine that’s the case for many, many others. So thankful to be safe; praying for our state following the earthquake.
— Sarah Palin ()
The largest quake in US history occurred in Anchorage in 1964. The magnitude 9.2 quake was the second-largest ever measured, worldwide, and devastated the region.
Alaska has more earthquakes than any other US region and has had an average of one magnitude 7 to 8 earthquake every year since 1900, according to the state government website.
