We'll be seeing an uptick in unusual home and business gas explosions and I'm trying to locate specific ZT on the matter.  Below is a refresher for the many gas related news articles.

Fault lines, when adjusting, do not just rip apart one day during a dramatic earthquake. They most often creep. Laying gas lines along or across a fault line is asking for an accident of this sort. Fault lines are also seldom so clearly delineated that one can go a mile in this or that direction and avoid their action. Where a slip-slide fault such as the San Andreas will often leave a clear line on the surface, this is only the surface action, not what occurs in the rock layers on either side which can fracture for a long way to either side during any movement. The gas company, or the age of the pipes, will be faulted but in truth the finger should be pointed in many directions. The public, who insist on living at such a scenic spot, is to blame. Officials, who zoned for housing are to blame. The public utility company, for allowing gas lines in the area, is to blame. But this will change nothing, while man continues to live on the San Andreas, even as it awakens. EOZT

The danger from radon gas will not be increased as a result of the pole shift. Radon gas is emitted by rock containing uranium, which is degrading. In normal circumstances, where air can circulate, it is disbursed rapidly as is any methane created by decay of organic material. The danger from these gasses comes from confinement - being trapped in a mine, a basement, or beneath the permafrost. The dangers are well known. For methane, it is explosions. An accumulation of methane gas can be identified by the smell of rotten eggs, or as some have described it, dirty socks or cabbage soup. For radon gas the danger is lung cancer, from the continual exposure to the radioactive air. Radon gas is odorless, and cannot be detected except by specialized equipment not in the hands of the average person.

In that the pole shift, or the Earth changes preceding the pole shift, can fracture rock and release pockets of either gas, survivors should be cautious about huddling in bunkers. You are safer out in the open air, or in a trench you have dug that will allow the pole shift winds to pass over you, but nothing to fall on and crush you. The fact that both methane gas and radon gas can accumulate in the bunkers of the elite is one of the reasons we have stated that they have dug their own graves. EOZT

Anyone watching the news, for instance the news on the San Bruno explosion in a distribution line close to the San Andreas Fault line, knows that gas in any form is a danger. Oil and gas refineries explode when rigid piping cracks. Oil or gas wells explode when the ground around them moves. And the gas distribution lines running under cities are no exception. They likewise will explode. Gas lines, whether along the street or within a home, are rigid. In some cases automatic shutoff valves can limit the amount of gas available for an explosion by sensing a drop in pressure, but this is always after the fact. The explosion has already occurred. Utilizing gas on a planet prone to earthquakes was a mistake to begin with, but man never thinks of the consequences when striving for modern conveniences. We have advised turning off the gas at the street, though when the street explodes and your neighbor's homes are on fire you are not likely to escape the holocaust. A better alternative is to live in an area where gas is not available, as in your rural safe location where you will be doing a form of camping while gardening. A campfire at night, for cooking and washing and a bit of friendly light before bed. Nothing explosive. EOZT

SOZT Answer: It is no accident that the New Madrid fault lies under the Mississippi River near Memphis, as rivers form in lowlands created when land pulls apart, separating the rock fingers and weakening support for the land. Thus, the Ohio River bed also is an indication of where rock fingers will pull apart. Two adjustments in Kentucky, a day apart, are not an accident, but an indication of the speed at which the stretch zone is starting to adjust. Rail lines are frequently an early harbinger of such adjustments, as they run long distances, whereas structures within cities, such as tall buildings, take up relatively little space and have a small footprint. Our warning that imploding cities will be experienced, before the hour of the shift, are in this regard. Be warmed, it will not just be your rail lines and gas and water mains that will shatter and be pulled apart during the stretch. The foundations of your tall buildings will likewise be vulnerable.EOZT

(CNN) -- A gas main explosion in Philadelphia Tuesday evening killed one utilities worker and injured five other people, a fire department official said.

Philadelphia Gas Works employees were responding to a gas main break in the city's Tacony neighborhood when the explosion occurred, fire department spokesman Jim Smith said.

"They were trying to control it and found a source of ignition," according to Smith, who said four PGW employees and a firefighter were among the injured. He said some of the gas workers' injuries were serious.

Boiler explosion collapses building

GUJRANWALA: At least seven people were killed and several others injured after roof of a factory caved in following a boiler explosion on Saturday.

According to police, the factory located in Ghakar Mandi caught fire after the boiler explosion. Many many labourers were trapped under the debris.

Rescue sources said 15 workers have been retrieved while three more were still under the rubble. They said at least four people were killed in the incident.

Later, three more injured succumbed to their wounds increasing the total number of dead to seven. At least 19 others were injured in the incident.

The police said they have arrested owner of the factory. Fire tenders and ambulances rushed to the area to extinguish the fire and shift the dead and injured to hospitals.

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has expressed sorrow over the sad incident.

Pipeline Explosion Near Emerson (UPDATED)

Officials are investigating a massive natural-gas pipeline explosion just south of the Canada-US border near Emerson Saturday night. The pipeline is operated by TransCanada, and the incident occurred about a kilometre from the Canadian border in Kittson County, Minnesota.

Witnesses say huge flames could be seen in the sky around 8:30 pm Saturday night.

The Emerson Volunteer Fire Department responded to a natural gas pumping station on the Canadian side of the border. “When we left Emerson it looked like it was really close to our pumping station out there,” explains Chief Jeff French. “It was a little bit concerning when we left Emerson to say the least, but when we got there we ascertained the fire was on the U.S. side.”

French says evacuation procedures began immediately upon the department’s arrival at the scene, impacting just a couple of homes, but once it became clear what side of the border the explosion and fire was on, those efforts were scaled back and the people impacted were allowed to return home shortly thereafter when it was deemed safe.

“According to TransCanada Pipeline it was an American side pipeline, and they were going to do the fix,” notes French. “They isolated everything on our side, it was a back-feed line that, I guess, fed between both pumping stations. So they isolated everything on our line on our side, and the fix will have to be on their side (U.S.).”

French estimates flames were shooting about forty feet into the air, and was about ten to fifteen at the base.

“It was still a big fire, but it was dealt with and dealt with properly, and everyone was safe and all threats were mitigated, I thought it went very well,” explains French.

The fire was extinguished just after 1 a.m. Sunday morning. The cause is still under investigation.

There were no injuries reported.

GEISMAR — A once financially troubled biofuels plant in Ascension Parish still recovering from an April blast again exploded and caught fire late Thursday, injuring four workers and temporarily forcing highway closures and workers in at least one other plant to shelter in place, authorities said.

The explosion at the Renewable Energy Group plant about 11 p.m. Thursday was sparked from a hydrogen line undergoing maintenance, parish sheriff’s deputies said.

The April 2 fire also involved equipment that had undergone maintenance and was being restarted. Two workers were injured in that fire.

The latest fire at the REG plant off La. 30 in the heart of Ascension’s Geismar industrial complex took five hours to extinguish completely and included among the injured Nick Matassa, who deputies said was badly burned. He is the son of Kenny Matassa, a Gonzales city councilman, longtime parish government employee and candidate this fall for parish president. Other injured workers have not been identified.

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration opened an investigation into the latest blast and an investigator was on scene Friday, Juan Rodriguez, an agency spokesman in Dallas, said in an email.

Production at the REG Geismar LLC plant had only restarted in October after a two-year hiatus. The complex’s former joint partners had idled the facility on standby in fall 2012 and never restarted production but sold out to REG of Ames, Iowa, in mid-2014.

REG describes itself as a leading advanced biofuels producer and developer of renewable chemicals, with 10 other active biorefineries across the country.

But production stopped again at the Geismar complex, REG’s largest, less than six months later after the April fire. According to financial filings, REG was still trying to repair the $11 million in damage that resulted from the April 2 fire when the latest blast happened.

“They were in process of restarting,” said Rick Webre, director of the parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness.

The fire prompted roadblocks for a time Friday morning on roads near the plant. Additional protective measures included a shelter in place order at the nearby Rubicon facility and an order to cease all rail traffic in the area, deputies said.

The April fire started after a seal on a hydraulic pump failed while it was being put through startup procedures.

According to a State Police report released in May, the pump had just undergone regular maintenance.

Workers near the pump told authorities that they had heard a noise, possibly a hissing sound, moments before the pump caught fire and a fireball exploded from the equipment.

That fire also took about five hours to extinguish, State Police reported.

PDVSA says explosion hits its Venezuela gas plant, no injuries

PUNTO FIJO, Venezuela

Aug 31 A gas treatment plant of PDVSA on the western coast of Venezuela was hit by an explosion on Monday evening though there were no injuries, the state oil company said.

The explosion was the result of a ruptured fuel system heater that is being tested, PDVSA said on Twitter. Flames were immediately controlled and causes as well as damage are being assessed, it said.

Workers at the plant, who asked not to be identified because they are not allowed to speak to the press, said at the time of the explosion the unit was near empty because shifts were being swapped.

PDVSA did not immediately respond to requests for further information. It was not immediately clear if the plant might have been damaged.

The plant, located in the Tiguadare sector of Punto Fijo, in the state of Falcon, processes gas extracted from the Cardon IV block, a field in the vast Perla reservoir, operated by Spanish-company Repsol and Italian company Eni . The Cardon IV block began operating in recent weeks.

Union leader Ivan Freites told Reuters there were no reports of casualties.

Perla is located 50 kilometers off the western coast of the Paraguana peninsula. It is the largest of Latin America's largest offshore gas fields, with a volume of 17 trillion cubic feet, according to Eni.

Transformer explosion causes power outage

A power line transformer exploded on corner of Oleander and East Sacramento Avenues around 3 p.m. on Monday causing a temporary power outage. Chico police were nearby when the explosion occurred.

“The power went out right as I heard a loud pop from the power line,” said an employee of a neighboring business. Chico Police remained on the scene to direct traffic.

First responders reported smoke upon arrival, but the fire went out almost immediately after the explosion occurred. Pacific Gas and Electric showed up roughly 20 minutes after the incident to repair the transformer.

Local businesses, including Dutch Brothers on Esplanade, shut down early due to the power outage. PG&E estimated power restoration around 5:30 p.m.

Spain: Five dead and six injured in explosion at fireworks factory in Zaragoza

Five people - three men and two women - were killed and six were injured in an explosion at a fireworks factory near Zaragoza in northeastern Spain, officials have confirmed.

Six people are being treated in local hospitals, with two in intensive care. The explosion, according to Aragon Radio took place at around 2.15pm local time. The cause of the explosion is not known, Reuters reported.

A spokeswoman for the regional government of Aragon confirmed the death toll and injuries, saying that firefighters were continuing their work at the factory, which exports products to other European countries and Canada.

Local media reported that the explosion took place at Pirotecnica Zaragozana's factory in the area, but the company's main office has not been able to immediately confirm this.

The Spain Report said that the Aragon regional government has declared a day of mourning today (1 September).

A huge blast has ripped through a Chinese city following a reported chemical factory explosion just weeks after around 158 were killed in a similar incident.
Bright flames and black smoke were seen coming from a chemical plant in the eastern Chinese province of Shandong this evening.
The 'loud' explosion was seen and heard in the industrial zone of Lijin, Dongying City of Shandong, just before 11.30pm local time, state radio said.
It is not yet known if there are any injuries or fatalities.
This comes almost three weeks after around 158 people died in a series of massive explosions at chemical warehouses in Tianjin - the world's 10th-largest port.
China formally detained 12 government officials and company executives following the blasts on suspicion of dereliction of duty or abuse of power.
One person died last month when an explosion hit a chemical plant in a different part of Shandong.
The explosion occurred at a factory of Shandong's Runxing Chemical company which is a subsidiary of Runxing Group.

The cause of the blast is unknown.

 Fire officials are trying to figure out what caused a small explosion in hidalgo county. a gas pipe exploded in a field near mccook wdnesday afternoon. the pipe belongs to oxy petroleum. fire crews from linn-san manuel and alton helped employees from the gas company put out flames... nobody was hurt. employees shut off the pipes... until they figure out how the leak happened.
