On May 20 the Atmospheric Charts show that the Houston Storm episode could occur again in the Americas. The Gulf continues to have low pressure, as does the Caribbean Plate. For the Gulf this is caused by the SE Portion pulling away, so it has no attachment to hold it up, thus a void in the Gulf ensues. Dropping, it creates a void in the air above the Gulf, thus Thunderstorms develop. For the Caribbean, that this land would sink was part of the 7 of 10 Plate Movement. The Caribbean is pushed down by the S American Plate as it rolls to the West.

On May 11 the Africa Roll took some victims in Algeria due to Methane poisoning on the beach.

Methane exposure, particularly when experienced in high concentrations, can lead to methane gas poisoning. While it is considered relatively non-toxic, its primary threat is that it functions as an asphyxiant, similar to the threat posed by carbon monoxide exposure. When inhaled, it displaces ambient air, thus depriving the body of oxygen needed to breathe.

The Africa Plate is rolling, with its northern border with Eurasia cutting through Algeria just to the south of the beaches where drownings occurred on a single day. Methane is odorless and displaces oxygenated air, thus strikes without warning. There was notable movement in the Africa Roll on the day in question. These deaths were unquestionably due to Methane poisoning.
