There has been much made of an earthquake in the recent past long the New Madrid fault line, as this was unexpected, being in a quiescent area, and thus raised all manner of questions regarding the possibility of massive earthquakes in areas presumed to be safe. Simply put, there are no earthquake free areas, and during the coming pole shift, all parts of the globe will be subject to them, without exception. Thus, individuals living in areas which have never experienced an earthquake should not presume safety but should take the same steps in preparing for the pole shift that those living atop highly active fault lines take - stay out of old or masonry buildings, and anticipate earthquakes as severe as any that mankind has ever experienced and noted.

Our description on the pole shift itself describes not a single jolt when the crust stops moving but a series of jolts. Most severe earthquakes are like this, in fact, if one examines their pattern. There are small quakes ahead of time, swarms, and jiggling that unsettles people as they sense something is pending. Then when the rock fingers that are preventing the fault line from sliding or subducting suddenly break, a large jolt. This often, within minutes, results in more jolts as the pressure that was at one point now moves to be pressure at the next point where rock fingers are holding the slippage. Aftershocks result, as yet more rock fingers break, until a point arrives where there is so much resistance to slippage that the quake and its after effects is considered complete.

For the New Madrid, which will include the European tsunami in its effects, there will be one large jolt with a subsequent and almost immediate tearing of the Atlantic. We have stated that the European tsunami will be the largest, but smaller ones will follow in time. Likewise for the New Madrid adjustment, which involve a tearing of the entire N American continent from the seaway down to Mexico. This adjustment will not occur until minor rock fingers have been steadily broken in a number of places. The areas to be affected have already been experiencing quake swarms, buckling roadways, sinkholes, breaking dams, and unsettling jigging which is unexplained by the authorities. When the primary blockage gives, there will be a huge jolt, with little warning. Aftershocks will continue until the time of the pole shift itself.

Earthquakes stir fear in America's Heartland as deadly fault zone awakens | Daily Mail Online

A giant seismic zone in the heart of the US has seen dozens of tiny earthquakes break out in the last month, renewing fears of a catastrophic natural disaster soon.

Since mid-November, the US Geological Survey (USGS) has detected at least 38 low-level seismic events along the boundaries of the New Madrid Seismic Zone (NMSZ) in Arkansas, Kentucky, Missouri, and Tennessee.

The NMSZ is a large area in the middle of the US where hundreds of minor earthquakes have been recorded each year, with these light tremors being considered harmless and normal for the region.

None of the new quakes registered greater than 2.6 in magnitude, meaning it's unlikely residents felt them, but the fresh activity came almost exactly on the date and in the same location as the last major seismic event to erupt within the NMSZ.

The latest tiny tremor, a magnitude 1.8 quake, was recorded on December 15, just one day before the 214th anniversary of the devastating 1811-1812 earthquake swarm.

Between December 1811 and February 1812, a group of three powerful quakes over 7.0 in magnitude caused damage in cities such as Cincinnati and St Louis and was felt in states as far away as Connecticut and Louisiana.

Scientists have found that large quakes like these could happen in the NMSZ every 200 to 800 years, meaning the region is now well within the range for the next major disaster in the Midwest.

While the latest swarm this month falls within the range of normal seismic activity along the NMSZ, researchers still don't know the exact reason giant earthquakes even form here or when the next one will strike.

Earthquakes West Coast and San Andreas Faults continue.

MALVERN, Ohio

An oil well pad exploded Tuesday morning in Carroll County, sending thick black smoke into the sky.

The explosion occurred around 7 a.m. on June Road in Malvern.

The FD said they have the fire under control.

No injuries have been reported.

According to the dept, EOG Resources was actively fracking on the pad at the time of the fire.

Firefighters say the company’s protocols shut down all of their equipment following the incident.

Earthquakes West Coast and San Andreas

SAN ANGELO, Texas — A loud boom that shook homes and rattled buildings was reported across a wide portion of the Concho Valley on Monday evening, with residents from San Angelo, Wall, Veribest and surrounding rural areas describing a sudden impact-like noise around 6:35 to 6:50 p.m.

Multiple residents contacted San Angelo LIVE! directly, reporting the sound was strong enough to knock items off walls, rattle doors and shake structures. One resident said the boom “shook our shop on U.S. 87 South,” while others reported feeling it in neighborhoods including Lawn Haven, Glenmore, Belaire, along FM 380 and east of San Angelo.

Several people in Wall said the boom shook their houses, while residents east of San Angelo described what felt like a pressure wave. Many said there was no visible smoke, fire or unusual odor afterward. If any information becomes available, this will be updated.
