We'll be seeing an uptick in unusual home and business gas explosions and I'm trying to locate specific ZT on the matter.  Below is a refresher for the many gas related news articles.

SOZT

Fault lines, when adjusting, do not just rip apart one day during a dramatic earthquake. They most often creep. Laying gas lines along or across a fault line is asking for an accident of this sort. Fault lines are also seldom so clearly delineated that one can go a mile in this or that direction and avoid their action. Where a slip-slide fault such as the San Andreas will often leave a clear line on the surface, this is only the surface action, not what occurs in the rock layers on either side which can fracture for a long way to either side during any movement. The gas company, or the age of the pipes, will be faulted but in truth the finger should be pointed in many directions. The public, who insist on living at such a scenic spot, is to blame. Officials, who zoned for housing are to blame. The public utility company, for allowing gas lines in the area, is to blame. But this will change nothing, while man continues to live on the San Andreas, even as it awakens. EOZT

The danger from radon gas will not be increased as a result of the pole shift. Radon gas is emitted by rock containing uranium, which is degrading. In normal circumstances, where air can circulate, it is disbursed rapidly as is any methane created by decay of organic material. The danger from these gasses comes from confinement - being trapped in a mine, a basement, or beneath the permafrost. The dangers are well known. For methane, it is explosions. An accumulation of methane gas can be identified by the smell of rotten eggs, or as some have described it, dirty socks or cabbage soup. For radon gas the danger is lung cancer, from the continual exposure to the radioactive air. Radon gas is odorless, and cannot be detected except by specialized equipment not in the hands of the average person.

In that the pole shift, or the Earth changes preceding the pole shift, can fracture rock and release pockets of either gas, survivors should be cautious about huddling in bunkers. You are safer out in the open air, or in a trench you have dug that will allow the pole shift winds to pass over you, but nothing to fall on and crush you. The fact that both methane gas and radon gas can accumulate in the bunkers of the elite is one of the reasons we have stated that they have dug their own graves. EOZT

Anyone watching the news, for instance the news on the San Bruno explosion in a distribution line close to the San Andreas Fault line, knows that gas in any form is a danger. Oil and gas refineries explode when rigid piping cracks. Oil or gas wells explode when the ground around them moves. And the gas distribution lines running under cities are no exception. They likewise will explode. Gas lines, whether along the street or within a home, are rigid. In some cases automatic shutoff valves can limit the amount of gas available for an explosion by sensing a drop in pressure, but this is always after the fact. The explosion has already occurred. Utilizing gas on a planet prone to earthquakes was a mistake to begin with, but man never thinks of the consequences when striving for modern conveniences. We have advised turning off the gas at the street, though when the street explodes and your neighbor's homes are on fire you are not likely to escape the holocaust. A better alternative is to live in an area where gas is not available, as in your rural safe location where you will be doing a form of camping while gardening. A campfire at night, for cooking and washing and a bit of friendly light before bed. Nothing explosive. EOZT

SOZT Answer: It is no accident that the New Madrid fault lies under the Mississippi River near Memphis, as rivers form in lowlands created when land pulls apart, separating the rock fingers and weakening support for the land. Thus, the Ohio River bed also is an indication of where rock fingers will pull apart. Two adjustments in Kentucky, a day apart, are not an accident, but an indication of the speed at which the stretch zone is starting to adjust. Rail lines are frequently an early harbinger of such adjustments, as they run long distances, whereas structures within cities, such as tall buildings, take up relatively little space and have a small footprint. Our warning that imploding cities will be experienced, before the hour of the shift, are in this regard. Be warmed, it will not just be your rail lines and gas and water mains that will shatter and be pulled apart during the stretch. The foundations of your tall buildings will likewise be vulnerable.EOZT

DANGER! Los Angeles Gas Well Leak "OUT OF CONTROL" - Entirely lost control of entire gas field, leaks everywhere!"

https://www.superstation95.com/index.php/world/826

A catastrophic disaster is now taking place outside of Los Angeles endangering hundreds of thousands of people. officials say they have "entirely lost control of the entire (gas) field" meaning explosive methane gas is now leaking from "many places."  Workers at the scene of the Porter Ranch gas field in the Aliso Canyon say some of the leaks are so loud, the hissing sound can be heard 1/2 mile away.

If this continues, multiple massive explosions are very likely to take place once the methane comes into contact with the pilot light of a stove, or hot water heater.  This could set off "rolling explosions a few hundred feet in the air, knocking down all the houses and buildings nearby as it goes!"

Worse, toxic benzene is now also confirmed to be coming out of the ground and entering the atmosphere in such large quantities, that people can be killed merely from walking through it.  Benzene can be absorbed through the skin.  Once a sufficient amount enters the body, there is no treatment and no cure; all the person can do is wait to die.

The graphic below was made from actual measurements of Benzene; the higher the red color goes, the worse the concentration.  Fatal levels are the highest ones near the well and gas field.

The photo at the top of this article shows the explosive gas cloud over hundred of homes as part of it blows toward downtown Los Angeles.  If this detonates, the destruction and carnage will be unimaginable.

The Leak: The largest natural gas leak ever recorded is happening now in a wealthy suburb of Los Angeles. The leak is from an old oil well being used to store natural gas under high pressure.  It is the largest natural gas storage facility west of the Mississippi.

A pipe inside the well has cracked and so much gas is gushing out:

• It’s increasing California’s emissions by 25%
• 10,000 local residents have been evacuated, up to 5 miles away from the leak
• Planes aren’t allowed overhead for fear they’ll blow up

The leak first started in October and the company responsible says it can’t be fixed until March.

The Researchers: Boston University Professor Nathan Phillips and Bob Ackley of Gas Safety drove a high precision GIS-enabled natural gas analyzer down the roads around the gas leak (Jan. 8th to 13th, 2016) to create the video above. The red shows where they drove.  The level of natural gas is shown by the height of the peaks.  Where the gas spreads depends enormously on the direction and speed of the wind.  These are just a few snapshots in time of the gas (see more images).

Phillips and Ackley are experts in natural gas analysis, having mapped the gas leaks in numerous cities such as Washington (DC), Boston, Cincinnati and Manhattan. They will post their data soon, making everything open source for researchers and reporters.

Early Results: So far, the early results show natural gas levels are elevate 2 to 67 times the background level found in the area. Local residents are complaining of nausea, headaches and nosebleeds.  No one knows if there will be long term health effects from the volatile organic chemicals found in the gas.

http://www.timeout.com/newyork/blog/manholes-are-currently-explodin...

Manholes are currently exploding all over New York

Since Friday, a worrying 400 manhole fires have ignited across New York. In Sunnyside alone, three manholes have exploded causing the covers to blast off and fly into the air like obstacles on a really difficult level of Super Mario.

“This is happening with the snow runoff and the salt getting into the underground electrical structures,” ConEd spokesman Mike Clendenin told NBC New York. “Water and salt is not a good mix.”

So if you see a smoking manhole out there today, stay back and contact ConEd or the FDNY immediately. Curious to know more about why the city’s manholes have decided to start attacking mankind? You can read our FAQ on them below.

Why is this happening?
Basically, because all the salt that we put on the ground during snowy days seeps under the covers. Many of the electrical cables underground are old and frayed, so when the salty water drips down, it erodes the insulation on the wires, and conduct electricity. This can cause them to spark and create little fires, which release combustible gas and build pressure inside the hole. When the sparks ignite the gasses, you get an exploding manhole (and yes, we know the phrase is a little funny, despite how dangerous this can actually be).

How high can the covers fly?
Anywhere from 1 to 50 feet. And those things can weigh up to 300 pounds. Enjoy your walk home!

Is anything being done to fix this?
Yes. Con Ed began switching to vented covers a few years ago, so that pressure can’t build up from the gasses. And they upgrade parts of the underground electrical infrastructure each year to replace old wires, which should help, too.

How long does exploding manhole season last?
Hopefully not too long! If this warmer weather continues, we won’t need any more salt and those gross slushy piles will melt. But there’s still plenty of salt and snow on the ground (and probably more snow to come) so be careful.

St. Paul back open after blasts blow covers off manholes
January 27, 2016 Rochester N.Y.
Smoke could be seen and the sound of explosions could be heard as manholes popped out along a stretch of the St. Paul corridor near the Inner Loop this morning.

RG&E and Rochester fire investigators closed off parts of the road about 1 a.m. as they determined the cause of the smoke and banging sounds was a faulty underground cable.

RG&E spokesman Richard Meier said the loud sounds likely were underground circuit breakers snapping off.

The road was open at 6:30 a.m.

Rochester police said they were alerted to the trouble when a man reported to officers he drove his truck into an open manhole which had likely popped off from an explosion.

Meier said repairs were made and no outages have been reported due to the faulty cable.

One killed in Canadian oil plant accident

AFP | Montreal Saturday, 16 January 2016

One person was killed and another injured following an explosion at an oil sands plant in western Canada, the Canadian subsidiary of the Chinese company CNOOC said Friday.

Canada-based Nexen Energy ULC did not give a reason for the Friday explosion at its Long Lake facility south of Fort McMurray, in northern Alberta province.

“Our emergency response plan has been activated and response personnel, including first responders ... are on site,” Nexen said in a statement.

“We are deeply saddened to confirm one fatality and a second person is at hospital. All other personnel are accounted for.”

The site was shut down “and we are stabilizing the scene.”

Nexen said that there is “no immediate danger to neighboring communities or personnel still on site,” and said that regulators “have been notified”.

The Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) reported a pipeline rupture in July at the same Long Lake oil sands site.

In that incident five million liters (31,500 barrels) of oil mixed with waste water and sand poured out of the site, resulting in the second largest oil spill Alberta and one of the most serious oil spills in North America.

The publicly-traded China National Overseas Oil Corporation, or CNOOC group, bought Nexen in 2013 for $15 billion.

5 killed, 1 injured by gas leak blast in northern Italy

Source: Xinhua   2016-01-17 03:35:45

MILAN, Italy, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) -- Five people were killed and one seriously injured as a building collapsed early on Saturday following a big blast caused by a gas leak in Arnasco, a town in northwestern Italy, local media said.

Four Italian men aged between 49 and 76 and a 56-year-old Moroccan woman were found dead under debris. Three of the victims were living in the building, the others were visitors, according to local newspaper Il Secolo XIX.

Another woman of South American origin was extracted alive by rescue teams. She was rushed to hospital but her conditions appeared desperate, rescuers said.

The explosion, which was heard up to 8 km away, flattened a two-storey building dating back to more than 100 years ago, and damaged around 10 others, firefighters said.

Arnasco has just slightly more than 600 inhabitants.

"The blast occurred in a four-apartment building and was a violent one. I was informed around 3:00 a.m.," Arnasco Mayor Alfredo Gallizia, who immediately rushed to the spot, was quoted by ANSA news agency as saying.

"I had seen something like that just in movies ... some houses in the surrounding area had their windows smashed. The building fell to pieces, the rooms were filled with gas," Gallizia added.

A man living in the neighborhood, Michele Becchio, said he heard a terrible roar and went down the street.

"Windows smashed, our children were frightened. I went out and I saw that a nearby building had totally collapsed. This is a sorrowful day for our town, we are shocked," he said.

Around 15 residents were reportedly evacuated from nearby buildings and will be not allowed to spend the night at home for security reasons.

"We are going to host them in hotels in the neighborhoods. We are also at work to restore viability and ordinary activities in Arnasco," said Giovanni Toti, President of Liguria region where Arnasco is located.

Investigators were at work to ascertain the causes and responsibilities of the deadly blast, local authorities said.
