We'll be seeing an uptick in unusual home and business gas explosions and I'm trying to locate specific ZT on the matter.  Below is a refresher for the many gas related news articles.

Fault lines, when adjusting, do not just rip apart one day during a dramatic earthquake. They most often creep. Laying gas lines along or across a fault line is asking for an accident of this sort. Fault lines are also seldom so clearly delineated that one can go a mile in this or that direction and avoid their action. Where a slip-slide fault such as the San Andreas will often leave a clear line on the surface, this is only the surface action, not what occurs in the rock layers on either side which can fracture for a long way to either side during any movement. The gas company, or the age of the pipes, will be faulted but in truth the finger should be pointed in many directions. The public, who insist on living at such a scenic spot, is to blame. Officials, who zoned for housing are to blame. The public utility company, for allowing gas lines in the area, is to blame. But this will change nothing, while man continues to live on the San Andreas, even as it awakens. EOZT

The danger from radon gas will not be increased as a result of the pole shift. Radon gas is emitted by rock containing uranium, which is degrading. In normal circumstances, where air can circulate, it is disbursed rapidly as is any methane created by decay of organic material. The danger from these gasses comes from confinement - being trapped in a mine, a basement, or beneath the permafrost. The dangers are well known. For methane, it is explosions. An accumulation of methane gas can be identified by the smell of rotten eggs, or as some have described it, dirty socks or cabbage soup. For radon gas the danger is lung cancer, from the continual exposure to the radioactive air. Radon gas is odorless, and cannot be detected except by specialized equipment not in the hands of the average person.

In that the pole shift, or the Earth changes preceding the pole shift, can fracture rock and release pockets of either gas, survivors should be cautious about huddling in bunkers. You are safer out in the open air, or in a trench you have dug that will allow the pole shift winds to pass over you, but nothing to fall on and crush you. The fact that both methane gas and radon gas can accumulate in the bunkers of the elite is one of the reasons we have stated that they have dug their own graves. EOZT

Anyone watching the news, for instance the news on the San Bruno explosion in a distribution line close to the San Andreas Fault line, knows that gas in any form is a danger. Oil and gas refineries explode when rigid piping cracks. Oil or gas wells explode when the ground around them moves. And the gas distribution lines running under cities are no exception. They likewise will explode. Gas lines, whether along the street or within a home, are rigid. In some cases automatic shutoff valves can limit the amount of gas available for an explosion by sensing a drop in pressure, but this is always after the fact. The explosion has already occurred. Utilizing gas on a planet prone to earthquakes was a mistake to begin with, but man never thinks of the consequences when striving for modern conveniences. We have advised turning off the gas at the street, though when the street explodes and your neighbor's homes are on fire you are not likely to escape the holocaust. A better alternative is to live in an area where gas is not available, as in your rural safe location where you will be doing a form of camping while gardening. A campfire at night, for cooking and washing and a bit of friendly light before bed. Nothing explosive. EOZT

SOZT Answer: It is no accident that the New Madrid fault lies under the Mississippi River near Memphis, as rivers form in lowlands created when land pulls apart, separating the rock fingers and weakening support for the land. Thus, the Ohio River bed also is an indication of where rock fingers will pull apart. Two adjustments in Kentucky, a day apart, are not an accident, but an indication of the speed at which the stretch zone is starting to adjust. Rail lines are frequently an early harbinger of such adjustments, as they run long distances, whereas structures within cities, such as tall buildings, take up relatively little space and have a small footprint. Our warning that imploding cities will be experienced, before the hour of the shift, are in this regard. Be warmed, it will not just be your rail lines and gas and water mains that will shatter and be pulled apart during the stretch. The foundations of your tall buildings will likewise be vulnerable.EOZT

(CNN) -- A gas main explosion in Philadelphia Tuesday evening killed one utilities worker and injured five other people, a fire department official said.

Philadelphia Gas Works employees were responding to a gas main break in the city's Tacony neighborhood when the explosion occurred, fire department spokesman Jim Smith said.

"They were trying to control it and found a source of ignition," according to Smith, who said four PGW employees and a firefighter were among the injured. He said some of the gas workers' injuries were serious.

Four hurt and dozens evacuated after 'gas explosion' in Chelsea

FOUR people have been injured and 50 evacuated after a suspected gas explosion in Chelsea.

Firefighters were called to Oakley street at 4:18pm today (Monday) following an explosion at a sixth floor flat of seven storey Pier House.

A London Fire Brigade spokesman said: "Around 50 people have been evacuated from the building. Firefighters were called at 1618. Crews from Chelsea, Hammersmith and Westminster fire stations were at the scene."

A police spokesman said building work had been under way at the block when the incident happened.

Mexico's Pemex blast blamed on a buildup of gas

(CNN) -- A deadly blast that killed at least 37 people at the headquarters of Mexico's state-run oil giant was caused by a buildup of gas in the basement, an official said Monday.

Mexican Attorney General Jesus Murillo Karam told reporters that no traces of explosives were found at the scene.

"The cause is clear; it's a gas explosion," he said, adding that the gas in question is believed to be methane.

The exact source of the gas remains unclear. Investigations are ongoing, Murillo said.

At least 37 people were killed and more than 100 injured in the blast, which took place Thursday at an administrative building in the Pemex office complex in Mexico City.

Pemex is Mexico's powerful and much-criticized state oil monopoly.

Of those injured, at least 28 remained hospitalized Monday night, according to the health ministry.

Thousands of people work at the company's headquarters, which includes a 54-story building that is nearly 700 feet tall. The annex where the explosion happened is adjacent to the tower.

Employees at the annex said that the basement of the building, where the explosion originated, housed a water treatment facility, storage areas and archives. The first floor, which also was heavily damaged, is where the company's human resources team worked.

A makeshift memorial for the victims has sprung up outside the complex, where handwritten notes, flowers and candles line a fence.

Residents allowed back into apartments after gas main break

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Hundreds of apartment residents have been allowed to return home, after a gas main break in downtown Springfield sent them onto the streets for more than an hour.

Firefighters evacuated the apartment buildings around 104 Spring Street in downtown Springfield just before 4:00 Monday afternoon.

Dennis Leger, Aide to the Springfield Fire Commissioner, told 22News that a piece of construction equipment had stuck a gas main, causing a leak of natural gas.

Because the gas is leaked and not into any closed space, they were able to shut off the gas, check each apartment, and have people go back inside after 5:00 P.M. Only the elderly residents of St. Luke's Home on Spring Street were still not allowed to return as of 5:15.

During the evacuation, PVTA buses were brought-in to pick elderly residents up and to take them to a shelter.

Nearby residents told 22News about the frightening situation.

“The lady that lives above me was banging on my door, and she told me ‘come outside, there’s a gas leak, everybody has to go out.’ So we just came out, and we’ve been standing here since,” Spring Street resident Diana Mirayes said.

The area that has was evacuated is just a short distance away from Worthington Street, where a gas explosion the day after Thanksgiving injured several people, and destroyed three buildings.

TWO people were on Friday morning killed in a gas explosion that occurred at Nigeria Distilleries Limited, around Singer area of Sango Ota, Ogun State.

Several other workers were injured in the incident that created panic among residents of communities around Singer and Ijako.

Saturday Tribune gathered that the explosion occurred as a result of overheating from one of the boiler machines being used by the company.

Two people had, as of Friday afternoon, been confirmed dead, while many workers were   injured  as workers at the factory scampered for safety.

Explosion destroys Newport house; 2 critically injured

NEWPORT, Ky. - A Northern Kentucky home was destroyed after an explosion at the residence Friday morning.

Newport fire officials say an explosion caused a large fire at the home located in the 1600 block of Waterworks Road in Newport at about 4:10 a.m. Witnesses said the explosion sounded like a “war zone.”

Officials say natural gas was fueling the fire, but the cause of the actual explosion is being investigated.

"We start out looking for if there was any smell of gas or anything they reported beforehand. If there was some type of natural gas leak in the house. But the explosion itself could've caused some type of pipe break," said Newport Fire Captain Patrick Krogman. "We start there looking at where exactly people were and what happened or what they saw when the explosion occurred."

Officials say Ida Neal and her son Dwayne Luttrell sustained critical burns in the explosion and emergency crews transported them to University of Cincinnati Medical Center for treatment. Neal suffered burns to her face and hands will be released from the hospital in the next 2-3 days.

Luttrell suffered third degree burns over 78 percent of his body and will have to remain hospitalized for the next 2-4 months for treatment. He is now on a breathing tube, officials say.

Police say Neal and her son were responsive and talking when they left the scene.

A third victim, Neal's husband Paul, sustained a compressed fracture in his back and cuts on his hand.

Newport resident, Andy Crail said he heard the explosion from his neighboring house and ran outside to see what happened.

“I sounded like a bomb went off, I didn’t know what to think,” Crail said.

Crail and other witnesses found a victim at the scene and pulled him to safety.

"It was just the first thing, the right thing to do, I guess," Crail said.

Fire officials commended neighbors for stepping up during a crisis.

"It's great. You have to be careful sometimes doing that, we've had neighbors that jumped into help and got themselves in trouble, but you know, if you can help somebody out, especially with this extreme cold -- they took one patient into the house across the street -- that's what it's all about, helping each other," Krogman said.

The house went up in flames after the explosion and one officer said the house "fell into a pit" when it exploded. The frigid temperatures have made fighting the fire more difficult. The water quickly turned into ice, creating slick conditions for the firefighters.

"We're dealing with fighting the fire, which is dealing with fighting with the heat, and those type of problems, and going to the extreme opposite, dealing with the cold and frostbite," Krogman said.

An estimated cost of damages has not yet been released.

The family had two dogs inside the home at the time of the fire that have not been located.

Neal lost her only other child, a son in his late 20s, to cancer last month.

Officials have not released any additional details about the explosion at this time.

Gas pipe explosion destroys entire Chinese street as it rips through upmarket residential area

These two workmen can hardly believe their eyes as they survey the damage after a massive gas pipe explosion destroyed an entire street in an upmarket residential area of one of China's most prosperous cities.

The stunned pair were looking at a hefty workload following a series of blasts which tore through thick layers of concrete and tarmac in the town of Beihai, in southern China's Guangxi Province.

It is not known exactly what caused the explosion which was so powerful it rocked nearby flats and left the pleasant, palm-tree tree-lined road resembling a war zone.

Behai, which means 'north of the sea' in Chinese, is a thriving port city on the north shore of the Gulf of Tonkin. Business has boomed in recent years to the extent it is predicted to be the world's fastest growing city between 2006 and 2020.

Gainesville Gas Explosion Forces Evacuations

GAINESVILLE (CBSDFW.COM) - Emergency officials responded to a gas leak and explosion in Gainesville on Thursday morning. The incident happened at about 7:00 a.m. at a home in the 200 block of West Tennie Street.

There were no reports of injuries. Authorities have not said what caused the leak.

Police and fire crews blocked off a one-to-two block radius and evacuated homes in the area.

The American Red Cross arrived at the scene and set up a temporary shelter at Whaley United Methodist Church, located at 701 Rosedale Drive. The shelter will remain in place until the evacuation call has been lifted and utilities are restored to residents.

ANKARA, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) -- Bodies of two more coal miners were recovered in Turkey's northwestern province of Zonguldak after a methane gas explosion took place Friday, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.
The number of casualties therefore rose to three in the methane gas explosion in a coal mine in Zonguldak, according to the report.
On Monday, eight miners were killed in a blast triggered by methane gas leakage in Kozlu town of Zonguldak.
A total of 61 people were killed and 91 others injured in 80 mine accidents in Turkey in 2012.

Explosion took place on Azerbaijani gas-mine pipeline

An explosion took place on the Gazimamed-Gazakh gas-main pipeline's section in Goychay region, Azerbaijani Trend writes about this referring to the regional TV Channel Kanal S.

The explosion took place in the territory of Karrabakal village at 07:20 on Friday. According to initial report, the cause of the explosion was a gas leak.

The explosion was followed by the fire. Agdash gas-main pipelines field staff and three fire brigades arrive at the scene.

Height of flame is approximately 100 meters and can be seen from afar.

Fire has not been extinguished yet. It will be possible to start repair work after the rest gas in the pipeline burns.

Explosion on gas main in Azerbaijan does not affect exports to Georgia

An explosion on the Gazimagomed-Gazakh gas-main pipeline (western direction) has not affected gas supply to Georgia, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan told Trend on Friday.

"The explosion has not affected gas supplies to Georgia. Gas is exported in normal mode," the company said.

As the company said the explosion took place as a result of a gas leak in the section of the gas pipeline passing through Goychay region of Azerbaijan, and in order to provide consumers with gas, supply of gas was switched to an auxiliary line, and therefore no problem occurred in provision of the population with gas and in gas exports.

The explosion took place in the territory of Karrabakal village at 07:20 on Friday.

The explosion was followed by the fire. Agdash gas-main pipelines field staff and three fire brigades arrive at the scene.

Special vehicles cannot get to the scene due to the fact that the scene is on highland territory and roads are snow-covered.

Goychay city is located in the center of Azerbaijan in 255 kilometers from Baku.
