As has happened in the past, a UFO display showed up at an event where many private video cameras were recording the event. This was the case during the 1991 Eclipse in Mexico. Undeniable because it had been recorded by the public, on so many private cams, that the display could not be dismissed as a case of doctoring the film. The 2012 Olympics opening was another such event, recorded LIVE and delivered to audiences around the world. By the time the authorities realized what was happening, it was too late. YouTube videos of the event have already gone viral, and official news channels had no choice but to admit it, and even discuss it – Skynews leading the way.

@Thanks, Kris. With so much pre-olympics talk about a UFO it made me wonder if there was more to it than ratings with NBC.  Maybe not.

Are there other videos of this UFO?  On the surface it looks good, but without multiple views/cameras like the genuine Jerusalem 2011 UFO (http://www.zetatalk.com/ning/05fe2011.htm) who knows?

@Astrogal: I think NBC has done this before. I think they (and their advertisers) want to force people here to watch it in primetime. Didn't they do the same for Beijing and Nagano? I think the incentive is more money, than fear of ufos. Mho.

Looks like NBC did not want to take any chance of showing a live UFO event in the U.S.A.  Isn't failure to show a modern, live Olympic opening ceremony in the U.S. almost unprecedented?

Even if Americans were not allowed, for no good reason, to legally watch the opening ceremonies live, plenty of people did witness this media event, world wide.

Despite NBC promising more than 3,500 hours of live video from the London 2012 Olympics, American viewers will still not be able to (legally) watch the opening ceremonies live, even online....
Instead of being shown live on one of NBC's six networks, two specialty channels, one 3-D channel or streamed online, the opening ceremonies will be tape-delayed on NBC tonight at 7:30 pm, on both the east coast and the west coast.

... they [NBC] explain that the opening ceremonies are "complex entertainment spectacles that do not translate well online because they require context." Of course, this doesn't explain why the ceremonies can't be aired on one of their networks....

Rather than giving as many people as possible the opportunity to watch the ceremonies, by spreading the viewers over multiple platforms, NBC will be able to draw a smaller audience to one broadcast. But that one broadcast will now have higher ratings....
