The birth of a rare white bison is viewed by many Indigenous nations as a sacred symbol of hope, renewal, and a spiritual warning to live in balance with the Earth.

In indigenous cultures white animals are portrayed as messengers. In Lakota and Hopi lore, white bison herald the "Purification Time" – a vibrational escalation where Earth sheds discordant frequencies, birthing unity consciousness.

For many Plains peoples, white animals in general are messengers — they are the ones who have never lost their connection, so they can carry messages between worlds.
For Hopi — there is a teaching of the Purification Time, Koyaanisqatsi — when the world is out of balance - and signs that humanity must choose a new path to survive into the next world.

Swedish explorer captures extremely rare white moose on camera after three years of searching for the elusive animal

• White moose was filmed wading into a deep stream before exiting the other side
• Only 100 white moose live in Sweden and the video is going viral 
• The explorer Hans Nilsson looked for the animal for three years 

A video showing an extremely rare white moose in Sweden has captured the world's interest.

Explorer Hans Nilsson spotted the animal after searching for a glimpse of one for three years.

He saw the moose on the banks of a stream in Värmland, Sweden. The video he posted online has been viewed more than a million times on Facebook.

The video shows the moose entering the stream. The water goes up to its neck before it climbs out the other side and shakes its entire body.

The moose then starts eating leaves before turning and staring directly at the photographer.

'It was a great feeling when you see such a unique animal that is not at all concerned with people,' he told a Swedish radio station. 'It is a stately moose.'

There are only 100 white moose in the country, compared to over 400,000 of the common brown moose. 

The animals aren't supposed to be white, but the rare color comes from a genetic mutation. They are not albino.

 Rare Pink Elephant Caught On Camera

"..The pink elephant was spotted playing with other elephants in a waterhole in the South African savannah at the Kruger National Park — South Africa’s first national park and home to more than 11,000 elephants. Why is it pink? It’s an albino elephant of course, as the person behind the camera says these type of elephant sightings are extremely rare, with only 3-4 being recorded in photographs.

Twinkle the albino hedgehog at Wildlife Orphanage in Selby, Yorkshire  (August 8, 2017)

Wildlife Orphanage, a hedgehog charity in Yorkshire, knows of a litter of at least three albino hedgehogs in the Selby [United Kingdom] area.

They are currently caring for one of the eight-week old babies, who has been named Twinkle, but another has tragically died and a third has been spotted by a member of the public.

Albino rook rescued on Bute (June 6, 2017)

A Bute [United Kingdom] resident saved a rare albino rook near his property last weekend.

He told the Buteman: “I looked out the window and saw this white shape being mobbed by the other birds".

The bird was transported off the island on Monday evening to the Hessilhead Wildlife Rescue centre in North Ayrshire, which cares for sick, injured and orphaned animals across Scotland.

Albino sparrow spotted in Perthshire garden (July 12, 2017)

John Anderson spotted the tiny white creature at his Dunning [United Kingdom] property after it fell out of its nest.

Paul Stancliffe, of the British Trust for Ornithology, said: “The white bird is a young house sparrow. The relatively large head and short, thick bill are enough to be confident of its identification.

Whale watchers discover ‘incredibly rare’ white humpback

 Whale watchers in Western Australia have spotted an almost completely white whale in Flinders Bay.

 The group, from Whale Watch Western Australia (WWWA) said they originally thought they’d spotted Australia’s famous whale Migaloo, but on closer inspection realised this was a completely different white humpback, a sighting they described as “incredibly rare”.

“The white whale sighted today has hypo pigmented skin which has resulted in the majority of his body being very white,” WWWA said.

“We have decided to name this special whale Oreo as his face is dark, body white and the top of his fluke is dark which makes him look just like an Oreo biscuit.”

Video and photos of the whale show its back almost completely white, with scattered streaks of black.

“He was busy having joined a competition pod which gave the perfect opportunity to see the contrast between the dark dorsal fin of one whale and the complete opposite of the magnificently marked white whale,” WWWA said.

Whale watchers in Port Macquarie had a rare sighting of Migaloo on Saturday,

Whale-spotters sometimes spend whole seasons waiting for the white whale.

It’s believed Migaloo is a true albino, but it has not been confirmed.

Cy Campbell took a photograph of Alby in his garden in Whissonsett [United Kingdom], near Fakenham.

Rupert Masefield, from the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, said its red eyes probably meant it was a true albino.
