Altering Earthquakes:

ZetaTalk Aug 7, 2010

As of late, I have observed that USGS and EMSC are a bit lax on their reports of earthquakes. Sometimes not seeing anything reported for hours from the last update, or seeing periods of 90-200 minutes with no earthquakes in between. My question is, are they leaving swarms of earthquakes out of their reports, or there are actually periods of no earthquakes?

SOZT:   Greater than 90% of the earthquake activity is being altered by the USGS at present, which is under orders to prevent any clue being given to the public about the Earth changes caused by the presence of Planet X. Over a decade ago, the approach was to de-sensitize the live seismographs periodically, so the displays do not turn black worldwide, and to ignore the twice-a-day patterns showing up on these seismographs. Then any quakes that could be dropped were dropped. This was obvious to some who were watching the database manipulation. Quakes in the list would suddenly disappear. This was particularly the case where a quake happened in a remote location, or out in the ocean. Dumbing down the magnitude quickly followed, but in order to ensure the public did not notice, the USGS took control of all websites reporting quake statistics. At times, this control breaks, and discrepancies are reported to the public. Some countries rebel. Quake swarms are another source of control, as they pepper the databases with many quakes and skew the statistics, and thus are pulled from the database. Else the question is raised, why so many?   EOZT

ZetaTalk Jun 18, 2011

Will the USGS internet system be a reliable warning system for the European tsunami by registering on the net the New Madrid earthquake on the exact time it occurs?

SOZT:   It will not be a lack of information from the USGS that will be the point of confusion during the earthquakes leading up to the New Madrid adjustment, it will be knowing which quake is the big one vs the many minor quakes preceding it. The USGS downgrades almost all earthquakes, to prevent meaningful statistics from being generated from their databases. They also exclude quakes whenever they can, but this is unlikely to happen in the New Madrid area as it is in the center of a populated land mass. Thus you will have magnitude 6 quakes that will be called a 5.2, magnitude 7 quakes called a 6.1, and when a magnitude 8 or greater quake occurs, it will be called a 6.9.

We would advise that rather than watching the USGS quake statistics, that you watch the Earth changes. The adjustment that will incite the European tsunami will involve bridges on the Mississippi breaking, and being impassable. The land to the west of the Mississippi will drop so that the Mississippi will become 50 miles wide in the state of Mississippi. Watch for this. The New Madrid adjustment will be several large quakes of magnitude 8-9, though will be listed as a lesser magnitude. As the N American continent continues to unzip up to and along the Seaway, the quakes will be less than a magnitude 8 but very destructive to Cleveland and Toledo and Buffalo and the inland locks along the Seaway. Thus it is not what the USGS says that should be watched, but the condition of the bridges on the Mississippi, the impact on the cities along the Seaway, and whether the inland locks are reported as inoperable.   EOZT

Please collect earthquake-reports here. Significant Quakes or Magnitude 7+ can be posted separately.

Tremors and Loud Boom Reported in Coastal Maryland, Delaware and New Jersey (Feb 6)

Seismologists are working to determine the source of earthquake-like tremors reported by Ocean City residents before noon Thursday.

The fire department says there are multiple reports of houses shaking and at least one loud boom. In addition to Worcester County, the tremors could be felt in Sussex County, Del.

Tremors were felt throughout Cape May County, New Jersey.

"We have had reports that people felt tremors,” said an Ocean City police spokeswoman, who estimated that the department had fielded more than a dozen calls as of noon.

She said the calls came in "from the whole length of Ocean City, just within the last hour or so" and there were no reports of damage so far.

Maryland Geological Survey Director Richard Ortt confirmed that a state seismograph in Reisterstown detected the disturbance, but he could not say whether it was an earthquake or where it was centered.

The agency is working with seismologists in Delaware, New Jersey, Virginia and Pennsylvania to triangulate the source of the tremors, Ortt said.

A U.S. Geological Survey earthquake monitoring website shows no earthquakes of at least magnitude 2.5 in the region recently.

Police were checking with the U.S. Coast Guard and other authorities to identify the source of the tremors and unusual sounds. A spokesperson for Dover Air Force Base in Delaware said it had no demolition or flights in the area.

"We are hearing reports of a possible earthquake in Ocean City, MD. That is unconfirmed at this time," the Maryland Emergency Management Agency said in a post on Twitter.

Apparent nexus with recent quake swarm and massive fish kill in western Nevada.

Historic Nevada City Faces Earthquake Danger - January 30, 2014

If you live in south Reno or Virginia City, you may have felt the recent swarm of earthquakes. More than 100 small quakes have been recorded near the area.

Many people from Lockwood to Damonte Ranch and the Virginia Highlands are feeling them. Experts are concerned about the historic buildings in Virginia City.

The epicenter is located between Virginia City and Lockwood. Since January 28, four of the more than 100 quakes had a magnitude greater than 3.0.

100,000 Dead Fish in Sparks, Nevada - January 19, 2014

A Nevada marina has 100,000 dead fish to deal with. Sparks Marina is just a six-minute drive from Reno and is hugely popular with local people who swim, fish, and paddle in its waters. Sadly, over the last month over 100,000 of the fish, in what was the largest urban fishery in Nevada, has died.

About Greece earthquake posted down

Strong earthquake yesterday in Greece: Kefalonia landslides everywhere, even in the sea! [
The strong earthquake of magnitude 6.3 that yesterday afternoon at 14:55 rocked hard on the island of Kefalonia in the Ionian Greece, has not only caused serious damage to structures on the island, from the buildings (many were evacuated) to roads, but also on a natural level, there were consequences in the area with hundreds of landslides, some of which are in coastal areas, directly into the sea. Luckily he has not formed any tidal wave, but if the earthquake had been more intense the tsunami risk was high. Many historical tsunamis in the Mediterranean and Italy, in fact, were born precisely in this area of Greece.

Meanwhile, the island's inhabitants are still afraid to return to their homes, which established 'and not' yet been established by the experts, and they continue to spend the night in their cars. Meanwhile, about half 'of the 2,000 residents who had to leave their homes because' damaged shocks were settled on the ferry Superfast arrived yesterday morning in Kefalonia. In the day should also get the ferry Eleftherios Venizelos, able to accommodate 1,300 people. The problems created by the earthquake are added those caused by bad weather.

Damage and Injuries from Strong Quake in Greece, State of Emergency Declared (Jan 26)

A strong earthquake rocked western Greece Sunday, damaging roads and buildings and leaving several with injuries on the island of Kefalonia some 175 miles west of Athens.

Authorities declared a state of emergency and ordered that all schools remain closed on Monday.

At least two dozen aftershocks have been felt since the initial quake, according to the Institute of Geodynamics in Athens. One of the latest of these aftershocks registered as magnitude 5.4 according to the USGS — a significant earthquake on its own — striking just to the west of the island, about 25 kilometers northwest of the first one, at just before 9 p.m. local time (around 2 p.m. Eastern Time). Significant aftershock continue to rattle the area.

According to the latest updates, nearly every building in the town of Lixouri has suffered at least minor damage so far, and many, including schools, have suffered more serious damage, such as collapsed walls and roofs.

Reports of minor damage have come in from across the island, as well as the neighboring island of Zakynthos, Greece, about 50 kilometers to the south. Cephalonia Island International Airport, just to the south of Argostoli, has apparently also suffered damage and flights there are currently delayed.

There are reports that some people have sought help at the local hospital in Argostoli for minor injuries, and the hospital there may have been evacuated due to a collapsed roof.

A Greek website, ethnos.gr, reports that some old buildings near the epicenter have collapsed, The site also said landslides had blocked some roads in northern parts of the island of Kefalonia, citing local police.

A retirement home suffered damage forcing the residents to be evacuated while the extent of the damage is assessed.

The epicenter of the quake was some 11 kilometers from the island's main town of Argostoli and 2 kilometers north of the town of Lixouri. In both towns there were reports of damage at stores and residences.

The local soccer ground has reportedly also suffered a deep rift, as have parts of the road network.

Emergency crews have also been dispatched by the Public Power Corporation to restore damages suffered by parts of the electricity network that caused blackouts.
