We'll be seeing an uptick in unusual home and business gas explosions and I'm trying to locate specific ZT on the matter.  Below is a refresher for the many gas related news articles.

Fault lines, when adjusting, do not just rip apart one day during a dramatic earthquake. They most often creep. Laying gas lines along or across a fault line is asking for an accident of this sort. Fault lines are also seldom so clearly delineated that one can go a mile in this or that direction and avoid their action. Where a slip-slide fault such as the San Andreas will often leave a clear line on the surface, this is only the surface action, not what occurs in the rock layers on either side which can fracture for a long way to either side during any movement. The gas company, or the age of the pipes, will be faulted but in truth the finger should be pointed in many directions. The public, who insist on living at such a scenic spot, is to blame. Officials, who zoned for housing are to blame. The public utility company, for allowing gas lines in the area, is to blame. But this will change nothing, while man continues to live on the San Andreas, even as it awakens. EOZT

The danger from radon gas will not be increased as a result of the pole shift. Radon gas is emitted by rock containing uranium, which is degrading. In normal circumstances, where air can circulate, it is disbursed rapidly as is any methane created by decay of organic material. The danger from these gasses comes from confinement - being trapped in a mine, a basement, or beneath the permafrost. The dangers are well known. For methane, it is explosions. An accumulation of methane gas can be identified by the smell of rotten eggs, or as some have described it, dirty socks or cabbage soup. For radon gas the danger is lung cancer, from the continual exposure to the radioactive air. Radon gas is odorless, and cannot be detected except by specialized equipment not in the hands of the average person.

In that the pole shift, or the Earth changes preceding the pole shift, can fracture rock and release pockets of either gas, survivors should be cautious about huddling in bunkers. You are safer out in the open air, or in a trench you have dug that will allow the pole shift winds to pass over you, but nothing to fall on and crush you. The fact that both methane gas and radon gas can accumulate in the bunkers of the elite is one of the reasons we have stated that they have dug their own graves. EOZT

Anyone watching the news, for instance the news on the San Bruno explosion in a distribution line close to the San Andreas Fault line, knows that gas in any form is a danger. Oil and gas refineries explode when rigid piping cracks. Oil or gas wells explode when the ground around them moves. And the gas distribution lines running under cities are no exception. They likewise will explode. Gas lines, whether along the street or within a home, are rigid. In some cases automatic shutoff valves can limit the amount of gas available for an explosion by sensing a drop in pressure, but this is always after the fact. The explosion has already occurred. Utilizing gas on a planet prone to earthquakes was a mistake to begin with, but man never thinks of the consequences when striving for modern conveniences. We have advised turning off the gas at the street, though when the street explodes and your neighbor's homes are on fire you are not likely to escape the holocaust. A better alternative is to live in an area where gas is not available, as in your rural safe location where you will be doing a form of camping while gardening. A campfire at night, for cooking and washing and a bit of friendly light before bed. Nothing explosive. EOZT

SOZT Answer: It is no accident that the New Madrid fault lies under the Mississippi River near Memphis, as rivers form in lowlands created when land pulls apart, separating the rock fingers and weakening support for the land. Thus, the Ohio River bed also is an indication of where rock fingers will pull apart. Two adjustments in Kentucky, a day apart, are not an accident, but an indication of the speed at which the stretch zone is starting to adjust. Rail lines are frequently an early harbinger of such adjustments, as they run long distances, whereas structures within cities, such as tall buildings, take up relatively little space and have a small footprint. Our warning that imploding cities will be experienced, before the hour of the shift, are in this regard. Be warmed, it will not just be your rail lines and gas and water mains that will shatter and be pulled apart during the stretch. The foundations of your tall buildings will likewise be vulnerable.EOZT

(CNN) -- A gas main explosion in Philadelphia Tuesday evening killed one utilities worker and injured five other people, a fire department official said.

Philadelphia Gas Works employees were responding to a gas main break in the city's Tacony neighborhood when the explosion occurred, fire department spokesman Jim Smith said.

"They were trying to control it and found a source of ignition," according to Smith, who said four PGW employees and a firefighter were among the injured. He said some of the gas workers' injuries were serious.

Immense Explosion in Iran May Have Nuclear Origins Huge blast in Qazvin, rumored site of nuclear center; 'many casualties' expected.

 An immense explosion has been heard throughout the northern Iranian city of Qazvin, semi-official Fars news agency reported, and many casualties are expected from the blast. Around 1.1 million people live in the city, which is located about 100 miles north of Tehran. The blast may be related to nuclear development in Iran, according to the Los Angeles Times. Iranian officials in the past have strongly denied claims by Mujahedin Khalq Organization, or MKO, a cult-like Iranian exile group, that it has a secret nuclear enrichment facility in Abyek, near the major city, according to the daily. The source of the blast remains undetermined. Several mystery explosions have been reported in the past several years in the region, none of which were ever verified. A fire has now broken out in the city, local reports say, and as many as 50 people are injured. State media blames an oil depot for the blast. State news agency IRNA reports that firefighters are on the scene. "Firefighters are trying to prevent the spread of the fire at a car oil storage facility," Ali Mohammad Ahani, the director general of Qazvin governor's disaster management authority, stated. Ahani added that no reports of casualties have been recorded.

Three Alarm Gas Explosion in South Philadelphia

Details: Ladder-9 and Engine 24 were dispatched for an alarm system in an apartment building on the block. They arrived on scene and requested a battalion chief due to a unusual odor. Battalion chief 4 requested the electric company and gas company to respond for street lights flickering and high levels of CO in the apartment building. Companies began evacuating the apartment building and homes on the block. At some point there was an explosion of a building. B/C-4 struck the box and placed all hands in service with heaviest water lines. Deputy-1 requested the collapse unit to the scene. Command requested the second alarm and third alarms for fire in several homes.
Several civilians suffered minor injuries.

Escambia County Jail in Pensacola, Florida, Hit by Deadly Blast

At least two inmates died and more than 150 other people were injured when an apparent gas explosion collapsed part of a county jail in the Florida panhandle late Wednesday, officials said.

The blast occurred at the Escambia County Jail's Central Booking Facility in Pensacola at around 11 p.m. local time (midnight Thursday ET), officials said.

Kathleen Castro, the county’s public information officer, confirmed the deaths to NBC News and said that both prisoners and corrections officials were among the wounded.

A victim of an apparent explosion at the Escambia County Jail is loaded into an ambulance early Thursday.

About 600 prisoners were in the building at the time. Uninjured inmates were being moved to other detention facilities, authorities added.

James McLean, who works at the Circle K gas station just a few hundred feet away, said the blast felt like an earthquake.

“There was a big flash that lit up the whole sky and the whole area shook for what felt like a good five seconds,” he told NBC News.

The injured were transported to five local hospitals for treatment.

West Florida Hospital took in 37 patients with "very minor, non-life-threatening" injuries, according to a spokesman.

"All of them have been seen in our ER, treated, and released back into custody,” Kendrick Doidge told NBC News.

Sacred Heart Hospital said it treated 31 patients with minor injuries such as abrasions and neck pain.

Baptist Hospital and Gulf Breeze Hospital saw a combined 81 patients, according to Liz Branch, spokeswoman for Baptist Health Care, while Naval Hospital Pensacola confirmed it saw six patients with minor injuries.

Primary and secondary sweeps of the facility were completed by 1:15 a.m. local time (2:15 a.m. ET) but search and rescue crews were continuing to work in the building, according to officials.

Pensacola had been hit by severe floods earlier in the day.

A memo e-mailed to the Pensacola City Council said that "preliminary investigations indicate that the laundry room flooded and may have been leaking gas which [was] not reported yesterday."

Oil well explosion kills two workers, injures nine in West Texas

Two oil well workers died and nine suffered minor cuts and bruises Wednesday after a high-pressure explosion in a West Texas county that is lightly populated but richly saturated with oil.

The two bodies were found about 20 feet from a wellhead that was being replaced, Loving County Sheriff Billy Hopper told The Times. The blast did not trigger a fire.

The sheriff identified the dead as Amos B. Ortega, 46, of Artesia, N.M., and Roberto Andrade Magdaleno, 41, of El Paso. Their deaths bring the number of workers killed in Loving County's oilfields to seven since 2006, he said.

Ortega and Magdalena were among about a dozen workers at the site as independent contractors for RKI Exploration & Production, which owns the well where the blast occurred Wednesday morning.

Jeremy Fitzpatrick, a spokesman for RKI, told The Times that the Railroad Commission of Texas and the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration were investigating the incident.

"It’s extremely unfortunate," Fitzpatrick said. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the killed and injured."

He said the workers on site were employed by Crescent Services through its subsidiary Ameriflow Energy Services. Officials at both firms did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Hopper, the sheriff, said his best guess was that a valve wasn't closed, allowing natural gas or other high-pressure fumes from underground to build up and blow out one of two nearby wellheads. Shrapnel nicked several workers and spewed debris. The apparent force of the explosion -- with vibrations felt miles away -- led to the two deaths, Hopper said.

"I’m kind of dumbfounded myself," he said. "There was no active drilling on location. Just a truck and one of these equipment things to take off the control head."

According to the initial 911 caller, he said, a separator that divides oil from gas had blown up. But authorities didn't find a separator in operation at the scene, Hopper said.

The county has about 80 residents in its 675 square miles, making it one of the most sparsely populated regions of the country.

But more than 1,000 trucks pass through the county each week, heading to and from its more than 3,500 oil and natural gas wells.

The explosion site is about 12 miles from Orla, Texas, and six miles south of the New Mexico border.

Juwana Kinniburgh told the Carlsbad Current-Argus that her boyfriend, who was at the well, had to drive six miles to get a cell signal to call 911.

Deadly military warehouse explosion sends red fireball into night sky

BAIKAL REGION, Russia (NBC/EBU) — An explosion at a military warehouse in the Siberian Baikal region sent a red ball of fire into the sky overnight.

At least 10 people died after a fire broke out at the warehouse.

The victims were in a truck traveling near warehouse when a sudden explosion happened. Two were military personnel, and the other eight were civilians.

Russia’s Defense Ministry said the fire had been extinguished, though the cause of the blaze was unclear.

TOR Suffers Two Explosions

Tema Oil Refinery has suffered two explosions within the spate of few hours, Tuesday, with one person reported dead.

 Speaking to Gold news, an eye witness, Mike Dokosi said the first pipeline was reported to have exploded around 3:00 pm which led to an inferno that ravaged some buildings around the area.

He added that the Cocoa Processing Company which is adjacent to TOR has also been affected.

According to Mr. Dokosi, Just when fire and police personnel arrived to keep the explosion under control, another pipeline exploded around 4:00.

Mr. Dokosi said the cause of the explosions has been linked to some leakages on the pipeline. Officials of TOR were on their way to check the leakages when the explosion occurred.

Speaking to Gold News, a fire officer at the scene, Godwin Damani said the Fire Service is working assiduously to bring the situation under control.

Eight Injured in Explosion at Los Angeles-Area Building

Eight people were injured Tuesday morning after a reported explosion and fire at a commercial property in northwestern Orange County.

The explosion was in the 500 block of Commercial Way (map) in La Habra. Three of the injured are considered in critical condition, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

At least two ambulances responded to the location, about seven miles north of Anaheim.

Details regarding the type of business were not immediately available. Aerial video showed firefighters on the roof of a building identified by the signage as Gorilla's Chrome, Inc., a plating and metal polishing business.

The business was evacuated and nearby roads are closed for the fire investigation.

The initial report was received from occupants of a nearby building.

SEATTLE - A massive explosion and fire destroyed three buildings, damaged several others, sent debris flying for blocks and jolted people awake early Friday in the town of North Bend.

About the only good news was the time - 3:45 a.m. - when few people were in the business district of the Cascades foothills town about 30 miles east of Seattle.

"We are very, very fortunate that it happened in the early morning. If it was two hours later, the street would have been very busy," said Josie Williams, public information officer for Eastside Fire and Rescue.

A couple of minor injuries were reported at an assisted living facility where windows were blown out, she said.

It could take days to investigate the cause and estimate the value of the loss, she said.

It appears to be a natural gas explosion, Puget Sound Energy spokesman Andy Wappler said. A utility crew responded and shut off gas to three burning buildings, he said.

The blast also knocked out electrical service in the morning to about 1,500 customers, Wappler said.

The utility is working with the fire department and state Utilities and Transportation Commission investigators with information about natural gas service.

The building that exploded was not an active work site for Puget Sound Energy, and contractors don't always notify the utility, Wappler said.

"There was significant damage to multiple buildings," Wappler said. "It's a reminder to folks: If they smell natural gas, leave the building and call 911."

The blast leveled a former pizza restaurant under renovation. It also destroyed a barber shop and a separate building with three offices in the strip mall, Williams said. Debris was thrown 200 to 300 feet, blowing out windows and crumpling doors at a gas station and tire store. Flying debris also broke windows at a nearby apartment.

The manager of the gas station was one of the few people awake at the time. The manager heard alarms going off from the building before it exploded and called 911, Williams said.

The blast awakened North Bend residents, including three firefighters at the station about two blocks away, Williams said. In all, about 80 firefighters from various departments responded as the fire went to two alarms.

Over Thirty Houses Damaged In Gas Leak Explosion in Chicago

An explosion possibly caused due to a gas leak has recently destroyed a house in Chicago and damaged around 30 others nearby, a local official stated.

The explosion was reported around 10.30 pm on Friday night; however, the explosion hasn’t left anyone seriously injured. Apparently, the explosion was loud enough to be heard around two towns away- the affected area being around 48km northwest of downtown Chicago.

“We had people calling in thinking it was an earthquake,” Sergeant Gianni Giamberduca, Lake County Sheriff’s Office spokesman, explained.

“It sounded like a huge explosion,”  Carole Keith, who lives about a mile and a half from the site of the explosion, added. “It felt like a furnace in my house — my own house — had exploded.”

The explosion bought people out of their houses and smoke and debris were visible from the roads close to the site of the explosion.

“It just smelled like a whole bunch of things had been burnt together,” she added. 

The woman who resided in the house where the gas leak explosion took place managed to step out and save herself before the rooms of her house collapsed around her. A few other people in the area got away with minor cuts and bruises, and thankfully no one was seriously injured.
