We'll be seeing an uptick in unusual home and business gas explosions and I'm trying to locate specific ZT on the matter.  Below is a refresher for the many gas related news articles.

Fault lines, when adjusting, do not just rip apart one day during a dramatic earthquake. They most often creep. Laying gas lines along or across a fault line is asking for an accident of this sort. Fault lines are also seldom so clearly delineated that one can go a mile in this or that direction and avoid their action. Where a slip-slide fault such as the San Andreas will often leave a clear line on the surface, this is only the surface action, not what occurs in the rock layers on either side which can fracture for a long way to either side during any movement. The gas company, or the age of the pipes, will be faulted but in truth the finger should be pointed in many directions. The public, who insist on living at such a scenic spot, is to blame. Officials, who zoned for housing are to blame. The public utility company, for allowing gas lines in the area, is to blame. But this will change nothing, while man continues to live on the San Andreas, even as it awakens. EOZT

The danger from radon gas will not be increased as a result of the pole shift. Radon gas is emitted by rock containing uranium, which is degrading. In normal circumstances, where air can circulate, it is disbursed rapidly as is any methane created by decay of organic material. The danger from these gasses comes from confinement - being trapped in a mine, a basement, or beneath the permafrost. The dangers are well known. For methane, it is explosions. An accumulation of methane gas can be identified by the smell of rotten eggs, or as some have described it, dirty socks or cabbage soup. For radon gas the danger is lung cancer, from the continual exposure to the radioactive air. Radon gas is odorless, and cannot be detected except by specialized equipment not in the hands of the average person.

In that the pole shift, or the Earth changes preceding the pole shift, can fracture rock and release pockets of either gas, survivors should be cautious about huddling in bunkers. You are safer out in the open air, or in a trench you have dug that will allow the pole shift winds to pass over you, but nothing to fall on and crush you. The fact that both methane gas and radon gas can accumulate in the bunkers of the elite is one of the reasons we have stated that they have dug their own graves. EOZT

Anyone watching the news, for instance the news on the San Bruno explosion in a distribution line close to the San Andreas Fault line, knows that gas in any form is a danger. Oil and gas refineries explode when rigid piping cracks. Oil or gas wells explode when the ground around them moves. And the gas distribution lines running under cities are no exception. They likewise will explode. Gas lines, whether along the street or within a home, are rigid. In some cases automatic shutoff valves can limit the amount of gas available for an explosion by sensing a drop in pressure, but this is always after the fact. The explosion has already occurred. Utilizing gas on a planet prone to earthquakes was a mistake to begin with, but man never thinks of the consequences when striving for modern conveniences. We have advised turning off the gas at the street, though when the street explodes and your neighbor's homes are on fire you are not likely to escape the holocaust. A better alternative is to live in an area where gas is not available, as in your rural safe location where you will be doing a form of camping while gardening. A campfire at night, for cooking and washing and a bit of friendly light before bed. Nothing explosive. EOZT

SOZT Answer: It is no accident that the New Madrid fault lies under the Mississippi River near Memphis, as rivers form in lowlands created when land pulls apart, separating the rock fingers and weakening support for the land. Thus, the Ohio River bed also is an indication of where rock fingers will pull apart. Two adjustments in Kentucky, a day apart, are not an accident, but an indication of the speed at which the stretch zone is starting to adjust. Rail lines are frequently an early harbinger of such adjustments, as they run long distances, whereas structures within cities, such as tall buildings, take up relatively little space and have a small footprint. Our warning that imploding cities will be experienced, before the hour of the shift, are in this regard. Be warmed, it will not just be your rail lines and gas and water mains that will shatter and be pulled apart during the stretch. The foundations of your tall buildings will likewise be vulnerable.EOZT

(CNN) -- A gas main explosion in Philadelphia Tuesday evening killed one utilities worker and injured five other people, a fire department official said.

Philadelphia Gas Works employees were responding to a gas main break in the city's Tacony neighborhood when the explosion occurred, fire department spokesman Jim Smith said.

"They were trying to control it and found a source of ignition," according to Smith, who said four PGW employees and a firefighter were among the injured. He said some of the gas workers' injuries were serious.

1 Killed In House Explosion In Eastern Ohio

SHADYSIDE, Ohio (AP) – Authorities say a man has been killed in a house explosion in eastern Ohio.

It happened Monday afternoon in the Belmont County village of Shadyside, just outside of Wheeling, West Virginia.

Authorities say a propane gas leak sparked an explosion that sent the roof of the home and other debris flying into the street. Some nearby homes were also damaged.

The explosion then caused a massive fire.

The victim’s name has not yet been released. No other injuries were reported.

Residents in the neighborhood say they felt their doors and windows rattle.

A nearby high school was evacuated as a precaution.

Authorities say they believe the leak has been contained. They continue to investigate.

Explosion Destroys Home In Southeast Dallas

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – Some type of explosion has destroyed a home in southeast Dallas.

There is reportedly major structural damage at the house in the 9400 block of Eloise Street, near Memory Lane.

Dallas Fire Rescue is on the scene. Natural gas provider Atmos Energy has been notified.

A 76-year-old woman and her grandson living in the home made it out safely. Charlie Salazar said he and other neighbors helped pull the grandmother from a window of the home. The woman’s grandson reportedly walked out from the collapsed part of home.

“We started hollering out for her. And she was saying, ‘I’m in here! I’m in here!’ So at that window, we went over there and looked and got some flashlights,” Salazar recalled. “She was in there, looked like she was gathering up some stuff. We was telling her to get out ’cause it might explode again.”

The two occupants had no obvious injuries, but were taken to a local hospital as a precaution.

Officials with DFR said a call came in just before 8 p.m. reporting that a house had “just exploded.”

Neighbors a block away said they heard a loud boom, felt their houses shake, and walked outside to see the home nearly imploded on itself.

Debris from the home was strewn up and down the street.

Fire investigators are still trying to determine what caused the explosion.

Massive Fire at Montgomery County Sheet Metal Plant After Reported Explosion

A massive fire in Upper Moreland left dozens of homes without power, as fire crews continue to investigate the cause of the blaze. NBC10's Denise Nakano reports.

Heavy flames and plumes of black smoke could be seen for miles Monday as firefighters battled a massive, explosive fire at a Montgomery County sheet metal plant.

The five-alarm fire began at Trico Metal Products, a sheet metal fabricator business on the 2300 block of Wyandotte Road in Upper Moreland around 5:20 p.m. Officials said there were reports of an explosion prior to the blaze.

A front wall and back wall of the facility collapsed as numerous explosions from overheated compressed gas cylinders inside the plant put responding firefighters at risk.

"There are no hazardous materials or anything that affected the community," said Willow Grove Fire Chief Brian Focht. "However, as a danger to firefighters there were multiple explosions and a building collapse."

Man Hospitalized After 2nd Recent Gas Explosion At New Jersey Shore

POINT PLEASANT BEACH, N.J. (AP) — A New Jersey man is hospitalized following a natural gas explosion that rocked his Point Pleasant Beach home.

Police say the 47-year-old man suffered burns over 40 to 50 percent of his body early Monday. He’s reported to be in stable condition at a burn unit in northern New Jersey.

Authorities say the man woke up about 1:40 a.m. and smelled a strong odor of gas. They say he went to the bathroom, turned the light on and the house was rocked by an explosion and fire.

The cause of the blast is under investigation.

It was the second gas explosion at the Jersey shore in less than a week.

Last Tuesday, a natural gas explosion destroyed a home in Stafford Township, injuring 15 people, two critically.

APPARENT GAS LEAK, EXPLOSION SENDS CREWS SCRAMBLING IN DOWNTOWN AUBURN

AUBURN | Emergency crews evacuated at least one business and shut off gas in the area of East Genesee Street, Market Street and Seminary Avenue in Auburn after an apparent natural gas leak and explosion that blew several manhole covers off at about 4:15 p.m. Friday.

Firefighters reported a strong odor of natural gas in the area and evacuated The Liberty Store, 5 E. Genesee St., and Speno Music, 3 E. Genesee, as a precaution. The scent of gas was noticed in the basement of both buildings, according to Auburn Fire Chief Jeff Dygert.

Traffic was shut down in the area.

A gas explosion sent multiple manhole covers into the air and has forced the evacuation of two stores on Genesee Street.

Multiple manhole covers were blown off on Genesee Street, starting in front of Hunters Diner and down to the Liberty Store.

The Auburn Fire Department called in NYSEG to turn off the gas. 

Responders could be seen examining the gas level for each open manhole.

The street is closed off between the Loop Road and Owasco Street intersections. People parked on it before the explosion have been asked to move their cars.

STAFFORD TOWNSHIP — A natural gas explosion has leveled a house and injured 15 people, two critically, after a gas main break Tuesday in a neighborhood at the New Jersey shore.

Seven of the injured were gas company workers trying to locate the source of a leak that filled the neighborhood with a strong gas smell.

Two of them were in critical condition at a hospital in Atlantic City.

Six firefighters and two emergency medical service technicians also were injured, sustaining concussion-like symptoms from the shock wave of the blast.

The cause of the 10:32 a.m. explosion has not been determined.

About 300 homes remain without gas service, and some are also without electricity, although authorities say the situation is under control.

Manhole explosions occur along National Mall, elsewhere in D.C.

WASHINGTON (WJLA) -- At least two manholes exploded in downtown D.C. late Sunday afternoon, but no injuries were reported.

The explosions occurred about two miles apart; one of them happening along the National Mall - shutting down 7th Street SW between Constitution and Independence avenues.

D.C. Fire officials said the cause of the explosions appeared to be water runoff that made its way underground, affecting electrical components.

The incidents were initially reported to have triggered scattered power outages. But Pepco officials later said that the several thousand District residents who lacked electricity were attributable to Saturday's winter storm.

Pepco crews were working to make the necessary repairs.

Center City Underground Explosions Force Evacuations

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police confirm there were two underground explosions late Sunday afternoon in Center City.

This happened just before 5 p.m. at 15th and Locust Streets.

According to police, officials believe this was a transformer problem and don’t suspect any suspicious activity, although bomb squads are on the scene.

No injuries were reported.

Some residents on the 1500 block of Locust Street have been evacuated, but will be allowed back in their homes within the next few hours, according to police.

Locust Street will remain closed indefinitely.

PECO is also on the scene as an investigation continues.

Eight die in Loralai coalmine blast

QUETTA: At least eight miners were killed in an explosion in a private company’s coalmine in Duki area of Loralai district, officials said on Friday.

The blast took place on Thursday evening when the miners were working at a depth of about 2,300 feet. The mine is located about 225km northwest of Quetta. The miners were trapped when a portion of the mine caved in and blocked the exit.

According to sources, a fire broke out after the powerful explosion caused by methane gas.

Some miners who tried to rescue their colleagues fell unconscious after inhaling methane gas. One of them died, but the others were rescued and taken to hospital.

Later official rescue teams reached the place, along with a mines inspector. They faced difficulties because of the fire and methane gas. After hectic efforts, they reached the trapped miners but found them dead.

“The bodies were retrieved after hours of hard work,” a rescue official said.

All the victims were from Swat and their bodies were sent there after legal formalities.

The mine has been closed and the chief inspector of mines has ordered an inquiry into the incident.
