Fault lines, when adjusting, do not just rip apart one day during a dramatic earthquake. They most often creep. Laying gas lines along or across a fault line is asking for an accident of this sort. Fault lines are also seldom so clearly delineated that one can go a mile in this or that direction and avoid their action. Where a slip-slide fault such as the San Andreas will often leave a clear line on the surface, this is only the surface action, not what occurs in the rock layers on either side which can fracture for a long way to either side during any movement. The gas company, or the age of the pipes, will be faulted but in truth the finger should be pointed in many directions. The public, who insist on living at such a scenic spot, is to blame. Officials, who zoned for housing are to blame. The public utility company, for allowing gas lines in the area, is to blame. But this will change nothing, while man continues to live on the San Andreas, even as it awakens. EOZT

The danger from radon gas will not be increased as a result of the pole shift. Radon gas is emitted by rock containing uranium, which is degrading. In normal circumstances, where air can circulate, it is disbursed rapidly as is any methane created by decay of organic material. The danger from these gasses comes from confinement - being trapped in a mine, a basement, or beneath the permafrost. The dangers are well known. For methane, it is explosions. An accumulation of methane gas can be identified by the smell of rotten eggs, or as some have described it, dirty socks or cabbage soup. For radon gas the danger is lung cancer, from the continual exposure to the radioactive air. Radon gas is odorless and cannot be detected except by specialized equipment not in the hands of the average person.
In that the pole shift, or the Earth changes preceding the pole shift, can fracture rock and release pockets of either gas, survivors should be cautious about huddling in bunkers. You are safer out in the open air, or in a trench you have dug that will allow the pole shift winds to pass over you, but nothing to fall on and crush you. The fact that both methane gas and radon gas can accumulate in the bunkers of the elite is one of the reasons we have stated that they have dug their own graves. EOZT

Anyone watching the news, for instance the news on the San Bruno explosion in a distribution line close to the San Andreas Fault line, knows that gas in any form is a danger. Oil and gas refineries explode when rigid piping cracks. Oil or gas wells explode when the ground around them moves. And the gas distribution lines running under cities are no exception. They likewise will explode. Gas lines, whether along the street or within a home, are rigid. In some cases automatic shutoff valves can limit the amount of gas available for an explosion by sensing a drop in pressure, but this is always after the fact. The explosion has already occurred. Utilizing gas on a planet prone to earthquakes was a mistake to begin with, but man never thinks of the consequences when striving for modern conveniences. We have advised turning off the gas at the street, though when the street explodes and your neighbor's homes are on fire you are not likely to escape the holocaust. A better alternative is to live in an area where gas is not available, as in your rural safe location where you will be doing a form of camping while gardening. A campfire at night, for cooking and washing and a bit of friendly light before bed. Nothing explosive. EOZT

SOZT Answer: It is no accident that the New Madrid fault lies under the Mississippi River near Memphis, as rivers form in lowlands created when land pulls apart, separating the rock fingers and weakening support for the land. Thus, the Ohio River bed also is an indication of where rock fingers will pull apart. Two adjustments in Kentucky, a day apart, are not an accident, but an indication of the speed at which the stretch zone is starting to adjust. Rail lines are frequently an early harbinger of such adjustments, as they run long distances, whereas structures within cities, such as tall buildings, take up relatively little space and have a small footprint. Our warning that imploding cities will be experienced, before the hour of the shift, are in this regard. Be warmed, it will not just be your rail lines and gas and water mains that will shatter and be pulled apart during the stretch. The foundations of your tall buildings will likewise be vulnerable.EOZT

A man has died after a major explosion and fire at a home in Wolverhampton this afternoon.

Emergency services were called at 3.16pm to the detached property on Rylands Drive, off Mount Road, Penn, where flames spread from the first floor into the roof.
The victim was confirmed dead at the scene, which is the second house explosion in the area within a few days.
Police said they were not treating today's tragedy as suspicious. Neighbours spoke of a large explosion, and said they had seen DIY being carried out by the householder earlier in the day.
Thirteen firefighters from Fallings Park and Tettenhall were at the scene, along with the air ambulance, police and National Grid.
It is currently unknown what started the blaze, but firefighters confirmed that a gas explosion was not the cause.
West Midlands Police spokesman Lee Page said: "We are currently supporting West Midlands Fire Service at the scene of an explosion at a property on Rylands Drive, Penn, Wolverhampton, which was reported at around 3.25pm today.
"The road is currently cordoned off by officers. We have no further information at this stage."
West Midlands Ambulance spokesman Chris Kowalik said: “Wearing personal protective clothing and using breathing apparatus, the Hazardous Area Response Team entered the building with the fire service where they found the body of a man. He was confirmed dead at the scene.”
The scene is not far from Penn Road, where a house was demolished in a gas explosion last week.
This evening, residents were being allowed back into their homes as they spoke of their shock at the tragedy.
One woman described seeing some coming from the roof of the house, before a large number of police cars arrived to seal the road off.

Residents were evacuated from their home last night after part of it collapsed in a landslide, ruptured a gas main and closed part of the road from Gorey to Anne Port.
The collapse caused extensive damage to the garage below, and fractured the gas supply pipework.
While the slippage isn't blocking the road, Transport and Technical Services are worried it could slide further and into traffic.
The road has been closed from the junction of Mont de la Guerande by The Crab Shack to the junction with Les Charriers d’Anneport by the former Jeffery’s Leap tearoom.
The occupants were evacuated and the area was cordoned off while an inspection was carried out by Fire Service personnel and TTS.
Jersey Gas were then able to isolate its supply to the property, however parts of the building and surrounding area remain unstable.
A diversion around the area has been put in place, but the road may remain closed for several days whilst engineers assess the damage, and risk of further slippage.
Access will only allowed to adjacent properties. Motorists are asked to find alternative routes around the diversion for the next few days.

OKLAHOMA CITY -
An explosion near 122nd and Rockwell has destroyed at least one home, and someone was inside the house at the time.
The Oklahoma City Fire Department said just after 3:15 a.m., they responded to a reported explosion at 12409 Whispering Hollow Drive.
“We've had reports when this came in that people felt it more than two miles away. So it was a significant explosion,” OCFD Chief Benny Fulkerson said Saturday morning.

Authorities say an ONG crew was working on a gas meter when it caught fire. Crew members were about to evacuate the homeowner when the house exploded. The home has been completely destroyed.
The homeowner told first responders he was blown out of bed. He suffered injuries and burns, and has been transported to a local hospital.
Two others in the area were also transported to the hospital for breathing problems. No word yet on their condition.
OKCFD evacuated eight homes with a total of 24 people.

“We searched many of the houses in the immediate area to make sure everybody was ok,” Fulkerson said. “Everybody was and everybody was accounted for.”
Two homes adjacent to the original explosion have extensive damage. And numerous homes in the area have soffit hanging, holes in the portions of the exterior, and garage doors pushed in. Vehicles in the street are reported to have glass damage.
“I got some windows busted out. The doors look like they've been kicked in, garage door,” Neighbor Michael Palmer said. “Everything that was in the attic above the garage is now on the garage floor.”
Palmer lives across the street from the now destroyed house. He said it wasn’t the blast that woke him, but his pictures being knocked off the walls. Palmer said he rushed to what was left of a broken window and saw his neighbor’s house burning.
Neighbors claimed they smelled gas on Friday and ONG crews had been checking for the source. News 9 reached out to ONG but had not received a response to back up those claims.

The pipeline is carrying Russian natural gas to Europe
An explosion ripped through a natural gas pipeline in western Ukraine's Transcarpathian region on Friday, January 1st.
Local emergency crew recorded an underground depressurisation of a pipe in the Khust district at about 10 a.m. in the morning and shortly afterwards the gas reached the surface and flamed up.
A plume of fire reached 50 meters high and was seen from several surrounding villages. Nobody was killed or injured as a result of the incident.

The cross-country pipeline system "Soyuz" (Union) is transporting Russian natural gas to the EU countries, but local authorities have already assured that no European supplies would be affected.
At the moment emergency crews are waiting for the remaining gas to burn out to start the repair works. The cause of the incident is under investigation.

An elderly woman had a miracle escape this morning after a suspected gas explosion reduced her detached house to a pile of rubble.
Emergency services dashed to the scene on Penn Road in Wolverhampton, West Mids. UK, at 8.15am after the huge blast.
Firefighters found a pensioner had been trapped in the rubble of the gated £200,000 property which had been "completely collapsed".
Incredibly, the elderly resident was rescued from the wreckage at around 10am - almost two hours after the blast.
Shocking pictures taken at the scene show a gaping hole where the house once stood between two neighbouring two-storey houses which weren't affected.
Specialist rescue teams from West Midlands Ambulance Service and West Midlands Fire Service can also be seen working to free the woman from the rubble.
West Midlands Fire Service tweeted: "Elderly woman freed from rubble following gas explosion on Penn Road. Superb teamwork.
Stunned neighbours said the explosion was so strong that they thought a bomb had gone off or an earthquake had struck.
Penn Road resident Matt Eccles said: "I just heard a great big explosion that shook me out of bed and my neighbour told me that there had been a house that had exploded over the road.
"It was loud enough to wake me up, it was a proper explosion."

Ongoing investigations continue to uncover growing numbers of casualties left behind by a deadly explosion that rocked Faisal neighborhood in Giza on Sunday. Giza Security Director Ahmed Hegazy has stated that the explosion left one woman dead and 11 injured, reported state-owned media al-Ahram.
According to al-Watan, a gas leak caused the explosion which led part of the residential building to collapse. Ambulances and security forces, including bomb-disposal teams, have been sent to the scene of the incident.

Images taken by journalists working for Youm7 showed extensive damage to residential buildings.
Shortly following the explosion, the Security Director of Giza visited the scene of the incident with investigators to determine the cause of the explosion. Bomb detection dogs were also sent to the scene to determine whether there are any explosives located near by, reported Al-Ahram.
Initial scan of the neighborhood shows no trace of explosives.

Residents of Nnewi, an industrial hub in Anambra State, were thrown into mourning on Christmas eve when a major gas explosion at a factory owned by Chikason Group claimed several lives and left many injured.
The explosion resulted in a fire that raged for more than three hours and affected buildings nearby.
An eyewitness told THISDAY that the explosion suspected to have been caused by a gas cylinder inside the factory, resulted in a massive inferno.
Although there was no state government confirmation of the casualties, one source said no fewer than 20 corpses were evacuated from the debris caused by the explosion.
However, a Red Cross official, who did not want to be named, said the explosion killed about six persons on the spot.
He also said that the timely intervention of the fire service prevented the fire from spreading, adding that the dead had been deposited at a morgue in Nnewi while the injured were rushed to different hospitals.
Also, the state Police Commissioner, Mr. Hosea Karma gave the casualty figure as six dead and six injured.
According to him, four of the injured who had serious injuries were taken to the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital.
The police said the dead were customers and no employee of the firm died.
The state governor, Chief Willie Obiano visited the scene of the incident and commiserated with the people of Nnewi, saying that it was a critical period to have casualties.
He said he had spoken with Mr. Chika Okafor, owner of the company, promising that the state will make efforts to station special fire trucks at strategic places in Nnewi to improve the responsiveness of the fire service in the area.

The court order issued on Wednesday will come as a relief to more than 2,500 families in Porter Ranch, a northwest San Fernando Valley community, who have been waiting to be relocated by SoCal Gas since the leak began spewing methane into their homes and schools on October 23.
As of Tuesday, the company had paid for temporary housing for more than 2,000 other households, according to the Los Angeles Times. There are 30,000 residents who live in Porter Ranch, an upscale bedroom community of gated developments where the average 4,000-square-foot home is sold for $1 million.
Judge Emilie Elias directed the gas company to relocate the remaining residents within 24 to 72 hours. The court order follows a restraining order sought by the Los Angeles city attorney that would have required the company to relocate residents within 48 hours of their request, and called for a “special master” to oversee the moves.
The gas company is having increasing difficulty finding alternative housing nearby, because most of the available hotel, motel rooms and rental homes have already been snapped up by relocated Porter Ranch families.
The shortage is also sending home rental prices as high as $8,500 a month as landlords, who prefer leases of a year or longer, seek compensation for renting properties for much shorter terms than the three to four months SoCalGas said it needs to cap the damaged well.
