What happens to rock layers under a diagonal pull, or being pulled apart? As can be seen during recent years, this has resulted in derailing trains, sinkholes suddenly appearing, gas and water main breaks, torn roadways and separating bridges. Despite the effect on man, crawling about on the surface of what they assume to be terra firma, these changes are superficial. When the pulling starts, weak points break and thereafter the plumbing and roadways hold, giving the impression that the pulling has stopped, but this is misleading. The North American continent is giving evidence that its rock layers are separating from each other, and sliding sideways in a diagonal, thus exposing portions of these layers to vent into the air above. If rock is being stressed, then where are the earthquake predictors giving evidence of this, the frantic animals, the static on the radio, the earthquake swarms? Rock in the stretch zone, pulling apart rather than compressing, does not emit the particles flows that animals and radios sense, nor register on instruments are tension and release quakes.

LANCASTER CO., Pennsylvania
A portion of Pennsylvania Route 772 will remain closed until Friday, Feb 13, after a sinkhole expanded overnight.
The sinkhole now covers a large portion of the intersection of Route 772 and Locust St in Talmage.

CARLSBAD, California — There was a water main break this morning at the intersection of Carlsbad Village Dr & El Camino Real.

NORTHAMPTON CO., Pennsylvania — A water main break in Lower Saucon Township has resulted in a large sinkhole.
Northampton Co Communications says the break happened in the 1900 block of Meadow Rd Friday evening.
Crews responded to the scene around 7:45 a.m. Saturday. They are still on the scene as of 4 p.m.
YUMA, Arizona — A busy intersection in Yuma was shut down Friday morning due to a major sinkhole.
Yuma PD reported on social media at the intersection of 32nd St and Fourth Ave extension near the old Sears.
According to Yuma City sewage workers, the hole is about 20 feet deep.

The 500 block of Market Street between Clinch and Union avenues closed Thursday as crews from the city and the Knoxville Utilities Board work to repair the issue. It is expected to remain closed through the first week of February.

The collapse occurred in Chanh Hung Ward, where part of the roadway, sidewalk, and canal-side barrier gave way, creating a sinkhole about 20 meters long and 10 meters wide, according to local officials.
Sand and debris were seen sliding into the canal beneath the damaged section, they said.

Police and municipal agencies cordoned off the area and began inspections.
No injuries or property damage were reported.

The Ho Chi Minh City Urban Drainage Company said the damaged section sits above a wastewater drainage line, and further assessments were under way.
Authorities said the cause of the collapse had not yet been determined.
