Japan: A new island appears in the Ogasawara Islands - November 2013
Active volcanoes (Sep 28, 2012)
"Of course all volcanoes will explode, as this is going to be a very severe pole shift. What about the months and years preceding the pole shift? It is no secret that Mammoth Lake and the caldera of Yellowstone are warming up, and the populace has been prepared for these occurrences by the movie Volcano where there, in the middle of LA, lava is bubbling up. In fact, there is a fault line running from the approximate San Diego/LA area, up into the Sierras, and this is liable to rupture rather violently during one of the quakes that precedes the pole shift by some months. Volcanic eruptions from that area in the Sierras can be expected. Will Mount St. Helen erupt? All volcanoes that have been active within the memory of man will begin spewing and burping and oozing, and many that were not expected to become active will reactive. " ZetaTalk - Feb 15, 2000

Canary Islands, Government raises alert level on El Hierro volcano to yellow :
Considering the volcanic hazards involves a series of actions to be undertaken sequentially has established a worldwide warning system for the population based on the selection of three colors (green, yellow and red). In this way the population may adopt certain behaviors based on a symbol that are easy to understand color. We must continue in the case of each of them, the recommendations for the same. The Canary Islands government brings to light yellow-volcanic earthquake situation in El Hierro.

Iceland, Earthquakes in Katla volcano, strong sulphur smell in Múlakvísl river
This morning there has been some earthquake activity in Katla volcano. But it has also been reported in the news this morning that a really strong sulphur smell was found around 06:00 UTC on nearby farm to Múlakvísl river this morning. But this was before the earthquake did happen. I am not sure if this sulphur smell continues to be felt in the area close to Katla volcano. No changes in water hight has been detected in Múlakvísl glacier river....(Source)
An earthquake measuring just below three points on the Richter scale was picked up by sensors north of Godabunga in Mýrdalsjökull glacier in south Iceland, which covers the volcano Katla, at 6:57 this morning. Sigthrúdur Ármannsdóttir at the Icelandic Meteorological Office’s earthquake division told ruv.is that the quake had occurred at a depth of five kilometers in the northern side of the Mýrdalsjökull caldera. A smaller aftershock was registered three minutes later but no further seismic activity has occurred in the glacier since. There has been considerable activity in the area this summer and the quakes this morning are considered part of this continued unrest.....(Source)

Hawaii, Kilauea volcano - lava level in the summit eruptive vent briefly rose a few meters overnight
Summit tilt recorded another small brief DI event and the tilt is relatively flat this morning. The lava level in the summit eruptive vent briefly rose a few meters overnight. Lava flowed from a fissure on the upper southeast flank of Pu`u `O`o Cone and continued to advance downslope to the southeast. Seismic tremor levels increased in the summit. All erupted lava is within Hawai`i Volcanoes National Park or adjacent State land managed by the Department of Land and Natural Resources. If the eastern flows persist, they may pose a hazard to the …. (Source)

Usa, Cleveland Volcano in Alaska Shows Signs of Eruption :
Mount Cleveland, also called the Cleveland Volcano, in the Aleutian Islands in Alaska, has been reportedly oozing lava, presaging a possible eruption. Satellite images showed a 165 meter (541 feet) in diameter lava dome in the summit crater on Sept. 20, which increased from 150 meters (490 feet) as of Sept. 9, according to the Alaska Volcano Observatory. As of Thursday, it could not be verified if the eruption of lava was continuing because clouds blocked satellite views, but a rising lava dome in the crater increases the possibility of an explosive eruption, AVO said. Though the growing lava dome remains entirely contained within the summit crater, it is now approximately 20 meters below the eastern rim. “If lava dome growth continues, lava may overflow the crater rim to produce a lava flow. Sudden collapse of the effusing lava could result in the generation of a volcanic ash cloud.” AVO, which has issued a “watch” alert for Mount Cleveland, said there was no necessary indication that the volcano will erupt, but volcanic events can occur without warning and may go undetected in satellite imagery for hours.

Indonesia, Lewotobi (Laki-laki) volcano - Because of increased activity alert level raised to level 2
Volcanic eruptions drape Kagoshima in ash
Repeated eruptions from the Sakurajima volcano have produced large amounts of ash draping the city center Sept. 15, the Kagoshima Local Meteorological Agency said. Eruptions from the volcano overlooking the city of Kagoshima began on Wednesday morning, dumping 217 grams of ash per square meter (7 ounces per 10 square feet), the third-highest level of ash to fall since records began in 1994. Volcanic ash covered much of Kagoshima's Tenmmonkan entertainment and business district on Thursday morning, visibly forming clouds as cars drove through it and many pedestrians covering their faces with towels or surgical masks to avoid breathing it in.

Indonesia, Alert level raised for the mudflow spewing from an underground volcano in Sidoarjo after nearby dikes nearly failed.
Authorities in East Java have raised the alert level for the mudflow spewing from an underground volcano in Sidoarjo after nearby dikes nearly failed.
The mudflow has destroyed hundreds of homes, swamped 720 hectares of land and displaced more than 11,000 people since it began erupting in late May 2006.
“The situation is alarming,” said Achmad Khusaeri, a spokesman for the Sidoarjo Mudflow Mitigation Agency (BPLS), adding that the underground volcano had begun to erupt again after lying virtually dormant for years.....

Hawaii, Kilauea volcano - New lava breakout at Pu’u O’o flows towards Royal Gardens
A new lava flow is advancing down the east slope of Puu Oo crater and may pose a threat to the Royal Gardens subdivision if it continues, the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory said.
Lava began overflowing the west rim of Puu Oo crater early Tuesday feeding a new lava flow moving downslope on the crater's west side.
Two lava lakes are active in Puu Oo, one on the west and the other on the east side of the crater.
Activity on Tuesday was on the west side of the crater from about 2 a.m. Tuesday until 2:25 a.m. today when lava broke through the east rim.
The new fissure fed a lava flow that advanced rapidly downslope to the east.
If the flow continues to advance, it will likely head southeast toward Royal Gardens and could reach the what's left of the subdivision in the next few days, scientists said.
Royal Gardens has been overrun by lava several times and has no paved road access. A handful of people still live there, although much of the area is abandoned.
Lava flowed over the crater rim last week, but the flows stopped over the weekend.
The Puu Oo crater floor collapsed in early August dropping the floor level by about 245 feet. Lava broke out from the west side of the crater and advanced for several days before stopping. Lava reappeared in the crater on Aug. 21 and formed two new lava lakes that have been filling the crater ever since.
