Spain Experiences its Worst Train Accident in 40 Years

An increase in train derailments was one of the first symptoms of the approach of Planet X to become noticeable, being expressed even before Planet X entered the inner solar system in 2003.

Planet X was described as affecting the Earth from afar, like tugging on the edge of a spider web where the effects are felt elsewhere on the web; in this way there has been an increase in earthquakes and unpredictable weather going back years, even before Planet X entered the solar system, due to the increased swirling of the Earth’s core.

It is therefore logical that an increase in train derailments would accompany any increase in seismic activity – train tracks need to be straight and even the slightest shift to the side of a section of track would cause a train to derail.

The area most affected by train derailments is the stretch zone.  Stretch zone quakes are silent, and people are generally unaware anything is happening, although signs such as booms and trumpet sounds can occur.

This zone stretches from Western Europe across the Eurasian Plate, and also includes the South-East United States, the St. Lawrence Seaway, the Red Sea and the African Rift.

In other parts of the world, shifting ground is more associated with earthquakes that people are aware of, such as the Pacific which is compressing, so authorities inspect railway tracks after any seismic activity, reducing the likelihood of accidents.

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – A Long Island Railroad train on its way to Suffolk County has derailed with hundreds of passengers on board.

According to the MTA, the train left Penn Station just before 9 p.m. Friday night and was headed for Babylon when two cars came off the tracks.

The derailment reportedly happened just a few hundred yards east of Jamaica Station in Queens.

The MTA reports that 383 people were on the derailed train at the time of the accident. No injuries have been reported, but commuters were then stuck on board for hours.

The commuters were still waiting board the damaged train late Friday night however, some took to social media to say first responders are on the scene and providing support.

MTA officials add that those passengers were finally on their way to Long Island around midnight on Friday. Rail officials are planning to speak more about the accident on Saturday.

“No injuries were reported and a relief train has arrived to take the approximately 600 customers to their final destinations along the Babylon branch. Crews are on the scene are handing out water and assisting customers. There are delays and cancellations as a result. The cause of the incident is under investigation,” LIRR said in a statement Friday night.

LIRR is also reporting delays in both directions around the area of the derailment and is urging commuters to find another way around the accident.

Train derails near Red Oak

Nov 14, 2019

The Montgomery County Communications Center received a call from Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) reporting a coal train derailment just after 4 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13, in the area of D Ave west of Red Oak. Deputies of the Montgomery County and Mills County Sheriffs Office responded and located the derailment under the Boxelder Avenue bridge. Approximately 20-30 coal cars were involved.

There were no injuries and no hazards to the public.

BNSF crews were on the scene Wednesday, and more heavy equipment was expected later on Wednesday to help with clean up. Area residents were asked to avoid the area and allow crews to work. Boxelder Avenue was still closed as of Thursday, and was expected to reopen early Friday. While the rail should be fixed and open for traffic this week, cleanup crews will continue work at the site — possibly for weeks — to cleanup the remaining damaged cars and coal.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Mills County Sheriff’s Office, Montgomery County EMA, Red Oak Fire & Rescue and Montgomery County Secondary Roads assisted on scene.

Collision between trains causes massive derailment in Hempfield

Updated: Nov 8, 2019 - 9:11 PM

HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP, Pa. - A collision caused dozens of train cars to go off the tracks in Hempfield.

A Norfolk Southern mixed-freight train heading west from Altoona to Conway collided with the back of a Norfolk Southern intermodal train – which caused the massive derailment, officials confirmed.

According to Hempfield Township Manager Jason Winters, between 25 and 30 cars are off the tracks, but there are not believed to be any hazmat issues or other risks to the public.

Officials said no injuries were reported, and no hazardous materials spilled from the derailed cars. The derailment has blocked train traffic on both tracks.

Norfolk Southern is now on the scene to handle the cleanup, but it's unclear how long that will take.

According to Norfolk Southern, shipments will also be delayed significantly because of this incident.

Shipments heading to the following cities will be delayed at least 18-24 hours: Chicago, Kansas City, St. Louis, New York and New Jersey.

What caused the initial collision is still under investigation.

The incident occurred at around 2 a.m. on the tracks running near Harbor Drive, just south of the San Diego Convention Center, according to authorities.

Train derails Monday in Reserve; no injuries reported, but roads are closed

Nov 4, 2019 at 12:28 pm

A train carrying animal fat derailed late Monday morning in Reserve, St. John the Baptist Parish officials said.

No one was injured in the incident, and no vehicles were involved, St. John Fire Chief Cain Dufrene said. The train was carrying non-hazardous materials, according Dufrene, who said two of the three derailed train cars were tankers carrying animal fat. The other car was empty, he said.

Railroad crossings at West 10th Street, West 15th Street and West 19th Street in Reserve were closed after the derailment, which happened around 11:30 a.m.

Dufrene said those crossings are expected to remain closed for several hours as a Kansas City Southern railroad team works to clear the scene, with no immediate timetable for when the roads could be reopened.

Kansas City Southern, which operates the tracks, is still investigating the cause of the derailment, Dufrene said, though he added it seemed like the train was traveling at a slow speed when the derailment happened.

Baileigh Rebowe, a spokeswoman for parish government, said in terms of how a train derailment could have gone, things could have gone much worse.

"It could have been a very bad scenario for us," she said.

Train derails on Lagimodiere overpass

CN Rail says 12 empty train cars off the tracks; northbound lanes closed at Maginot

Nov 01, 2019 12:43 PM CT

UPDATE: CN Rail says all train cars are back on their tracks and traffic is open in all directions.

Winnipeg drivers had to use alternate routes around the Lagimodiere Boulevard and Dawson Road N. area Friday after a train derailment.

"[The train cars] look somewhat precarious, according to the initial reports," Const. Rob Carver just shortly after noon Friday.

Police arrived at the derailment shortly after noon.

CN Rail said in a statement that 12 empty grain cars went off the tracks.

"There are no dangerous goods, fires or injuries involved at this time," the statement said.

Dave Kozyra said he was driving in the area shortly after lunch.

"It must've happened two minutes prior to us going past," he said. "We noticed vehicles were stopping kind of erratically on the road and we looked up and you could see the bottom side of the train cars on the bridge and off to the east side of Lag."

Kozyra said he's never seen anything like it.

"As we went under, we were a little hesitant, because we knew there was probably one or two cars that were partially overhanging the bridge," he said.

"Seemed like there could be potential for them to fall on to the north side of that bridge."

Winnipeg police helped CN Rail police reroute traffic as a precaution.

Northbound traffic on Lagimodiere was closed early Friday afternoon between Maginot Street and Dawson Road N.

By Friday night, all lanes had reopened to traffic.

The cause of the incident is under investigation, CN said.
