Spain Experiences its Worst Train Accident in 40 Years

An increase in train derailments was one of the first symptoms of the approach of Planet X to become noticeable, being expressed even before Planet X entered the inner solar system in 2003.

Planet X was described as affecting the Earth from afar, like tugging on the edge of a spider web where the effects are felt elsewhere on the web; in this way there has been an increase in earthquakes and unpredictable weather going back years, even before Planet X entered the solar system, due to the increased swirling of the Earth’s core.

It is therefore logical that an increase in train derailments would accompany any increase in seismic activity – train tracks need to be straight and even the slightest shift to the side of a section of track would cause a train to derail.

The area most affected by train derailments is the stretch zone.  Stretch zone quakes are silent, and people are generally unaware anything is happening, although signs such as booms and trumpet sounds can occur.

This zone stretches from Western Europe across the Eurasian Plate, and also includes the South-East United States, the St. Lawrence Seaway, the Red Sea and the African Rift.

In other parts of the world, shifting ground is more associated with earthquakes that people are aware of, such as the Pacific which is compressing, so authorities inspect railway tracks after any seismic activity, reducing the likelihood of accidents.

Train derails in SWAR, causes traffic delays

Sunday, August 14th 2016, 5:59 pm EDT

Authorities in Southwest Arkansas are working to clean up more than two dozen rail cars after a train derailment.

It happened around 11:30 a.m. Sunday on U.S. Highway 82 between Lewisville, Arkansas and Texarkana.

County officials say the cars were loaded with frac sand, which is not hazardous. The frac sand is a natural material made from sandstone.

The train was traveling west when 32 cars derailed.

Union Pacific investigators are still trying to determine what cause the wreck. Several hundred feet of rails were damaged as a result, along with a railroad bridge.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported.

The tracks run adjacent to Hwy. 82 which could cause some traffic delays.

"It is right down the main heart highway through our country as and we have a major traffic problem developing. It's going to be a long, drawn-out deal we are going to have to go down to one lane," explained Lafayette County Sheriff Obie Sims.

Sims said clean up could take two to three days.

A shelter-in-place order was in effect for several hours following the crash.

FALMOUTH, Ky. —Cleanup will continue for several days following a train derailment in Pendleton County.

it happened around 10:30 a.m. near Woodson Street in Falmouth.

Authorities said 24 cars of a 125-car CSX train en route to Atlanta derailed, including four hazardous-materials cars containing sulfuric acid.

There were no hazardous materials released, CSX said.

Aerial video showed firefighters and workers examining several rail cars, some of which were overturned, while others were off the tracks.

“It looks like a kid playing with train cars and throwing them every which way,” resident Dustin Weaver said. “There’s so much destruction down there, it’s unbelievable.”

More rail cars were still on the tracks north of the crash scene.

Several of the derailed cars were missing wheels, which were in a pile south of the main crash area. The track was also torn up in that area.

"I don’t think there’s one car that’s been derailed that’s intact," Weaver said.
The crash shook the neighborhood, causing power outages across the area.

"I thought it was an earthquake or something and it just stopped,” Sonny Hibbar Jr. said. “(I) came outside and we see this over here behind my left shoulder."

Some lost power for a millisecond. Others were without electricity for several hours. All power has since been restored.

A shelter-in-place order was in effect for several hours after the crash. Residents were asked to also turn off A/C units, as officials feared sulfuric acid may have spilled. That was not the case.

Southern Elementary School students were moved to Pendleton County High School because the elementary school is located downwind.

Numerous roads throughout the city were also closed.

No injuries have been reported so far.

D.C. Metro train derails; 1 passenger hurt

Friday, July 29, 2016

ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) — Metro says a train has derailed in northern Virginia, and fire officials say one of about 75 passengers on the train was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Metro spokesman Richard Jordan says two cars derailed at the East Falls Church Metro station platform Friday morning, but the train is upright. There’s no service between McLean and Ballston, which is causing orange and silver line delays that will likely continue through the morning.

Arlington County Fire Department spokesman Deputy Fire Marshal Peter Corbino says one passenger was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Jordan says the derailment happened by a switch where trains begin using one track in an area where Metro’s performing work as part of a major maintenance effort.

He says the cause is under investigation.

CN train derails in Edmonton Sunday morning

The cause of the derailment is currently under investigation

CBC News Posted: Jul 17, 2016 11:13 AM MT Last Updated: Jul 17, 2016 12:24 PM MT

The train derailed just before 5 a.m. on Sunday, a CN spokeswoman said.

A Canadian National Railway train has derailed on the 97th Street and Yellowhead Trail overpass.

The eight empty rail cars derailed shortly before 5 a.m. Sunday morning while moving in the Edmonton yard, CN spokeswoman Kate Fenske confirmed in an email.

The cars were not carrying dangerous goods, she said, and there were no injuries as a result of the derailment.

The cause of the derailment is under investigation, and the trains are being re-railed, Fenske said.

CN crews remain on scene Sunday afternoon. A large gouge could be seen in one of the train cars, and one car appeared to be tipped over the 97th Street overpass.

Traffic through the area remains open.

At least 27 killed in Italy train collision

Trains collide in southern Italy 02:34

Story highlights

  • Collision happened late Tuesday morning in southeastern Italian countryside
  • Two trains collided head-on about 15 kilometers south of Adriatic Sea

(CNN)Two passenger trains collided head-on Tuesday morning in a rural area of southeastern Italy, killing at least 27 people, Italian news agency ANSA reported.

Pictures from the scene in the Puglia region showed both trains were on the same track about 15 kilometers (9 miles) south of the Adriatic Sea, apparently headed toward each other.
Firefighters inspect the wreckage of two trains after a head-on collision Tuesday in the Puglia region.
Images distributed by firefighters there showed the smashed remains of train cars and a large area of scattered, twisted metal at the impact site about 7 kilometers (4.3 miles) east of the city of Andria. More than 50 people were injured, ANSA reported. A hospital in Andria appealed to the public for blood donations for the injured.
One train was headed from Andria to Corato, while the other was coming in the opposite direction, ANSA reported.
The death toll was expected to rise, a medical official at the scene told CNN on condition of anonymity. The official said 22 bodies had been pulled from the wreckage, and one person died in a hospital.
Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi promised a full inquiry to find out who was responsible. He met with officials in the region Tuesday afternoon and pledged support, he told reporters in Bari on Tuesday evening.
"My thoughts go to the families of the victims," he said. "We are together in this pain and despair."
The crash happened about 7 kilometers east of the city of Andria.
The state-run rail company FS Group offered condolences and said both trains were operated by the private company Ferrotramviaria SpA, which runs commuter rail services in the area.
"The employees of the Italian FS Group are close to the victims' families, the wounded and colleagues at Ferrotramviaria," the FS Group said.
Details on what led to the crash weren't immediately available.
Crumpled wagon cars are seen after the two commuter trains collided.
The wreck happened in a relatively remote area. Local authorities took to social media to ask for any doctors and medics in the area to go to the crash site to help the injured.
"It's not an area that's easily accessible. The closest highway is miles away," CNN contributor Barbie Nadeau said.

Freight train derails in Selkirk, wheels torn away

Second derailment on stretch of rail line this week

CBC News Posted: Jun 30, 2016 12:31 PM CT Last Updated: Jun 30, 2016 12:31 PM CT

There is no word yet on what caused the derailment, the second one this week.

A train derailment in Selkirk, Man. on Wednesday evening has left a number of freight cars lying in ditches alongside the track, some with their wheels torn away.

It's the second time this week that a derailment has happened on that stretch of line, the first occurring on Monday, according to Kevin Crooks, who works at Kinetic Machine Works, a business that backs onto the tracks in the northwest corner of the city.

He described the scene from Wednesday as "a train-wreck, literally," saying there are some cars rolled over in the ditch "and a bunch of others all askew, just kind of piled up."

"There's a lot of wheels missing off them," he added.

Cranes were brought out Wednesday to remove some of the cars but an approaching storm forced crews to abandon the effort, Crooks said.

He estimates about 10 cars remain to be cleared at the scene.

There's no official word on what the cars were hauling, though Crooks has heard it was a concrete powder mix. Selkirk Redi Mix Ltd, a supplier of concrete mix has a plant on the other side of the tracks from Kinetic Machine Works.

The rail line is owned by CP Rail and operated by Lake Line Railroad. A CP Rail spokeswoman declined to comment and referred calls to Lake Line Railroad.

No one from Lake Line has yet returned calls from CBC.

Crooks said the ground in the area where the derailments happened is saturated after several days of rain, and he thinks it could have played a part in the crash.

"It's kind of shocking that they had two in a week," he said.

Selkirk Mayor Larry Johannson said he wasn't aware of the derailment until CBC News called.

Selkirk is located about 30 kilometres north of Winnipeg.
