Spain Experiences its Worst Train Accident in 40 Years An increase in train derailments was one of the first symptoms of the approach of Planet X to become noticeable, being expressed even before Planet X entered the inner solar system in 2003. Planet X was described as affecting the Earth from afar, like tugging on the edge of a spider web where the effects are felt elsewhere on the web; in this way there has been an increase in earthquakes and unpredictable weather going back years, even before Planet X entered the solar system, due to the increased swirling of the Earth’s core. It is therefore logical that an increase in train derailments would accompany any increase in seismic activity – train tracks need to be straight and even the slightest shift to the side of a section of track would cause a train to derail. The area most affected by train derailments is the stretch zone. Stretch zone quakes are silent, and people are generally unaware anything is happening, although signs such as booms and trumpet sounds can occur. This zone stretches from Western Europe across the Eurasian Plate, and also includes the South-East United States, the St. Lawrence Seaway, the Red Sea and the African Rift. In other parts of the world, shifting ground is more associated with earthquakes that people are aware of, such as the Pacific which is compressing, so authorities inspect railway tracks after any seismic activity, reducing the likelihood of accidents. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Some Examples (click on pictures for link): |

Union Pacific crews plan to work overnight and into Tuesday at the scene of a train derailment west of Topeka, said Mark Davis, spokesman for UP’s northern region.
A southbound train left the tracks at 3:50 a.m. in Pottawatomie County near Emmett.
“They will be working through the night and maybe the next couple of days,” Davis said. “They will work around the clock.”
There were 56 cars full of coal that derailed on a bridge. The bridge sustained some damage, and crews are still evaluating the area. The crews haven’t made a determination of when the track will reopen.
“They really won’t have a good idea until they get things picked up,” Davis said.
No injuries were reported from the conductor and engineer who were on the train at the time of the derailment.
The cause of the derailment remains under investigation, Davis said.

The accident seriously damaged that stretch of tracks.
So far, there have been no reports of injuries.
New Delhi, Sep 2 (IANS) As many as 40 train accidents, including four collisions and 31 derailments, have taken place from January to July 2011, the Rajya Sabha was informed Friday.
Minister of State in Railways Bharatsinh Solanki said five derailments took place in northeastern states.
According to inquiry reports, three of these were caused due to sabotage by miscreants, one derailment happened because of failure of loco pilot, and another was caused due to failure of engineering maintenance staff.
Besides, three manned level crossing incidents and two cases of fire in train also took place in the railways, he said.

LANCASTER, SC (WBTV) - Police in Lancaster are on the scene of a train derailment near the downtown area of the city.
According to railway officials, a train derailed along the Lancaster and Chester Railway between Main Street and Market Street just after noon on Friday.
Officials say three cars of the cargo train derailed from the tracks, but declined to say what was in the cars.
The derailment blocked a section of Market Street and side roads around Main Street on Friday afternoon. Early reports indicate that no one was injured in the derailment.
This section of train tracks has presented problems in the past four years for the city of Lancaster.
In August 2010, a train jumped the tracks in the same area, blocking Main, Market and 15th streets for several hours.
A train also derailed and crashed into the Buy-Rite Discount Beverage in February 2007. Two people were inside the store when the cars came crashing through, one of those people was airlifted to the hospital.
Railroad officials say the train's engineers accidentally shoved the train's cars about 30 feet off the track while trying to add a rail car to the line. The store was demolished.

Emergency responders answer call after Amtrak train derailment in Dundy County |
Emergency responders from Imperial, Wauneta and Palisade joined others from across southwest Nebraska, northwest Kansas and northeast Colorado Friday morning, Aug. 26, in responding to what many feared would be a grim scenario of disastrous proportion.
Emergency medical technicians, firefighters and other first responders braced themselves for a situation they had been warned could involve over 100 injuries in a train/vehicle accident and subsequent derailment of the Amtrak passenger train in the sparsely populated reaches of far southwest Nebraska.
Thankfully, when they arrived at the scene, they found crew members calmly helping passengers climb down from the train.
21 injured when passenger train hits construction equipment
Engines from Amtrak’s No. 6 California Zephyr route derailed and toppled to their side after striking a crane being used to demolish an aging grain elevator at Doane, located between Benkelman and Parks. EMTs, firefighters and law enforcement officers from Wauneta, Palisade and Imperial were among the 200 responders assisting after the accident.
Emergency responders from Wauneta, Palisade and Imperial joined others from across southwest Nebraska, northwest Kansas and northeast Colorado in responding to what many feared would be a grim scenario of disastrous proportion.
Emergency medical technicians, firefighters and other first responders braced themselves for a situation they had been warned could involve dozens of serious injuries in a train/vehicle accident and subsequent derailment of the Amtrak passenger train in the sparsely populated reaches of far southwest Nebraska.
Thankfully, when they arrived at the scene, they found crew members calmly helping most passengers climb down from the train.
The collision occurred when an Amtrak train en route from California to Chicago struck a piece of construction equipment being used on a demolition project west of Benkelman in rural Dundy County Friday morning, forcing two locomotives and several cars off the rails but causing no critical injuries, officials said.
The train, running Amtrak’s California Zephyr route from Emeryville, Calif., to Chicago, had 175 passengers and 17 crew members on board when it struck the crane shortly before 8 a.m. at an old railway loading stop called Doane.
An old tin-covered wooden elevator was being torn down at the site, with the crane used in the dismantling process.
The two locomotives left the tracks and tipped over, but the derailed passenger cars did not topple, Amtrak spokesman Marc Magliari said. The other cars on the 10-car train remained on the tracks.
Magliari said the train collided with the crane. “Our understanding is a portion of a crane working on a demolition project near the tracks became an obstruction to us as our train approached, either across the tracks or on laying on the tracks, obstructing the path of the train,” he noted.
Officials reported that 21 people were injured in the incident and transported by ambulance to area hospitals. Those hurt in the crash were taken to hospitals in Benkelman, Imperial and Wray, Colo., where most were treated for back, shoulder and neck injuries.
None of the injuries were critical, and most of the injured had been released by Friday evening, said Dundy County emergency director Elaine Frasier.
“We all felt very fortunate that no one was critically injured,” added Frasier.
Over the course of the morning Friday the other passengers were shuttled by school buses to Benkelman’s Dundy County-Stratton High School where they were picked up later that afternoon by private buses provided by Amtrak or in vans and taxis hired by passengers.
In the meantime school staff, community members and area volunteers hosted the stranded passengers at the school, passing out bottled water and grilling hamburgers and hotdogs on gas grills outside the school’s commons area as the commun
Rangoon (Mizzima) – Four passengers were seriously injured when the last carriage of a Rangoon “circle” passenger train detached from the train and derailed between Kamayut and Hledan stations in Kamayut Township at 1:55 p.m. on Thursday.
Three men and a woman were seriously injured after the carriage detached and fell on its side, authorities said.
Rangoon Region Transportation Minister Aung Khin and the Rangoon Region military commander went to the scene of the accident. The commander told reporters that the accident was from “natural” causes.
The railway carriage carried 20 people at the time of the accident. The injured were identified as the Insein railway station chief Kyaw Shwe, 56, Ye Win, 57, Hla Oo, 27, and Naw Li Khin, 49.
“The train left Insein at 1:35 p.m. I stopped the train as soon as I knew that the last carriage had detached from the train,” said Win Min Oo, the train driver.
