"Stretch zones primarily experience sinking ground, as the support in the rock strata is stretched thin. Thus, buildings implode and gas and water mains break."  ZetaTalk

What happens to rock layers under a diagonal pull, or being pulled apart? As can be seen during recent years, this has resulted in derailing trains, sinkholes suddenly appearing, gas and water main breaks, torn roadways and separating bridges. Despite the effect on man, crawling about on the surface of what they assume to be terra firma, these changes are superficial. When the pulling starts, weak points break and thereafter the plumbing and roadways hold, giving the impression that the pulling has stopped, but this is misleading. The North American continent is giving evidence that its rock layers are separating from each other, and sliding sideways in a diagonal, thus exposing portions of these layers to vent into the air above. If rock is being stressed, then where are the earthquake predictors giving evidence of this, the frantic animals, the static on the radio, the earthquake swarms? Rock in the stretch zone, pulling apart rather than compressing, does not emit the particles flows that animals and radios sense, nor register on instruments are tension and release quakes.

"We have repeatedly stated that the Earth changes will not diminish, but will increase going into the pole shift.

This is not a lineal matter, as the closer Planet X comes to Earth, an inevitable path, the more the torque effect and the polar wobble where the N Pole of Earth is pushed away violently on a daily basis, occur. The wobble will become more pronounced, more violent. The plates are tugged back West of the Atlantic, pulled forward East of the Atlantic, during the daily rotation of the Earth. The North American continent is allowed to roll East during rotation while the S Pole is pulled West, creating the diagonal pull likely to trigger the New Madrid fault line into an adjustment, and soon. The N Pole is pushed away and allowed to bounce back, daily, as the Earth rotates, a wobble that puts stress on all fault lines when the plates are suddenly in motion, and suddenly stopped!

"As there is no other explanation for the effect on the stretch zone, lacking any earthquakes to blame, and as these stretch zone accidents will continue to emerge, and with ferocity, this is a certain clue to those on the fence, that the influence of Planet X is the cause. Or is it Global Warming?"

ZetaTalk Chat Q&A for April 13, 2013

"Sinkholes almost invariably form in areas subject to karst limestone cavern formation. Underground water flows eat away the limestone leaving vast caverns and caves, which often give scant indication above ground that a cavern lies below. Karst limestone rock formations have been mapped and are known, however, but since one never knows just where a cavern might have formed, this provides little help in predicting just where a sinkhole might form. Sinkholes open up when the rock is fractured due to stress from being in the stretch zone, from the bending of a plate, or due to torsion."

2 sinkholes open up on San Francisco streets during rainstorm

http://www.sfchronicle.com/bayarea/article/2-sinkholes-open-up-on-S...

A parched Bay Area may need the rain, but Wednesday’s storm caused power outages, trapped three cars in a flooded highway underpass, flooded more than a dozen homes, and triggered sinkholes, including a growing 15-by-15-foot crater at a San Francisco intersection.

That sinkhole at Sixth Avenue and Lake Street in the Richmond District involved a broken 8-inch water main, but it’s unclear if the pipe burst before or after the roadway collapsed, said Tyrone Jue, a spokesman for the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission.

It’s possible a sewer line also under the roadway could have had a hole in it, causing sand to drain into the sewer line “like an hourglass,” leaving nothing to support the roadbed, Jue said.

“We’re unclear on the sequence of events” because it was taking crews several hours to get the water pipe shut off so they could examine the damage. They were still working on it around noon, he said.

The street there will be closed there indefinitely, with the repair time unknown. A second sinkhole also appeared along a curb in the Castro.

A 10 foot wide sinkhole at 6th and Lake Streets in the Richmond District of San Francisco appeared early Wednesday morning, Dec. 3, 2014. Biggest storm in years hits Bay Area hard
In the Richmond, the intersection was roped off Wednesday morning with yellow police tape and the hole surrounded by about 20 orange cones. Four backhoes and four PG&E maintenance trucks were at the scene, as crews worked through off-and-on rain jack hammering an additional hole farther away, apparently to access the pipe, which was still gushing water at 11 a.m.

Donna Delauter, 57, who lives on a corner of the intersection, said the sinkhole started off much smaller.

“It has just grown and grown,” Delauter said. “As a property owner and tax payer for the last 35 years, I wonder how this could happen all over the city. It’s shocking. It’s very disconcerting to see a hole that size. More than several cars can fit inside. I’d like to have confidence that the city can address this, especially since I live so close.”

Massive Sinkhole Opens on Washington Heights Street

http://www.dnainfo.com/new-york/20141201/washington-heights/massive...

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS — A huge sinkhole opened up on West 158th Street Monday morning, leading a garbage truck to become stuck in the gaping hole and closing the street to traffic, according to locals and police.

It was unclear what caused the sinkhole, located near the corner of Edgecombe Avenue, though it managed to partially swallow a Department of Sanitation truck, a witness and police source said.

“They pulled a garbage truck out,” said Earl Green, 40, who works at a building close to the intersection. “That’s crazy.”

A police source confirmed that a truck belonging to the Sanitation Department had gotten stuck, but had since been freed. No injuries were reported.

As of Monday afternoon, West 158th Street was closed to traffic between Edgecombe and St. Nicholas avenues.

A spokesman for the Department of Environmental Protection, which is normally responsible for repairing sinkholes, said an investigation at the site revealed a small break in the sewer line that runs beneath the road. Temporary repairs, including rebuilding the roadway, are currenlty under way at the site, he said.

Sinkhole swallows car in China

http://www.independent.ie/world-news/asia-pacific/sinkhole-swallows...

Well, that's one place to park... watch as a car gets swallowed whole by a sinkhole in China.

The street's surveillance footage shows a white car stops in the middle of the road as its front wheel runs into the massive sinkhole.

The driver and passenger got out of the vehicle before the road surface collapsed further and swallowed the car into the void.

Sinkhole appears in yet another road

http://www.getbucks.co.uk/news/local-news/sinkhole-appears-yet-anot...

People were shocked when they saw these holes in the ground, in yet another case of a sinkhole swallowing up the ground.

The sinkhole appeared in Wooster Road , Beaconsfield.

It is not the first, with others appearing in Cherry Tree Road last week and in May one appeared in Holtspur Top Lane .

Work has just finished on the latter, but the investigation is ongoing at Cherry Tree Road.

A spokesman for Transport for Bucks said a team has visited Wooster Road today and placed barriers and cones around the hole.

He said: "Its specialist contractor will also be investigating the site today to determine the extent of the hole and the appropriate remedy."

Reportedly the sinkhole is 'very close' to a house, with a digger parked nearby.

Sinkholes have also appeared in Gerrards Cross in a garden , and on a drive in Walters Ash swallowing up a car.

Woman swallowed by Springvale sinkhole

http://www.theage.com.au/victoria/woman-swallowed-by-springvale-sin...

A woman has collapsed at her home just hours after being pulled from a three-metre deep sinkhole in Melbourne's south-east on Tuesday.

Christina Beaumont, 52, was hanging out washing in the backyard of an Olympic Avenue property in Springvale South when the sinkhole opened up beneath her shortly after 11.30am.

She fell into deep underground water and was forced to tread water to prevent more mud collapsing around her.

The mother-of-six was trapped in the hole for more than 20 minutes before a neighbour heard her cries for help and called triple-0 about 12.10pm.

Firefighters used ropes to help Ms Beaumont climb out of the hole. She was rescued about 12.30pm.

Ms Beaumont's daughter Melissa said her mother collapsed soon after returning home.

Third sinkhole swallows car in Florida neighbourhood

  • Tampa Bay neighbourhood of Holiday hit by sinkholes
  • New hole is 6ft deep and about 10ft wide

A third hole has formed in in the driveway of a Tampa Bay-area neighbourhood, swallowing a car to its bumper.

Pasco County spokesman Doug Tobin said the new hole opened on Saturday in the front yard of a resident’s home. It was about 6ft deep and grew about 10ft wide. The resident was temporarily relocating.

Two other holes formed earlier this week, about a quarter of a mile away. Engineers have yet to confirm that the depressions are sinkholes.

The first hole grew to 10ft wide and 10ft deep. A mobile home at the brink of that hole was condemned. Five other homes were evacuated.

Tobin said work had been suspended on a nearby sewer lift station, due to the subsurface activity.

Giant sinkhole swallows up old mine in Russia's Urals

November 20, 2014

A sinkhole 20 by 30 meters (65 by 98 feet) in size has been found near a Uralkali mine in Russia's Perm region. While the company says the development is of no further threat, locals fear the whole nearby town could go underground.

The sinkhole was first  discovered by Uralkali's Solikamsk-2 mine workers on November 18.  According to local emergency services, it's located some two  miles from the mine itself, in an old abandoned mine.

Speculation on the cause of this event is unlikely to be resolved, as the establishment does not want the public to focus on an unstable footing. The Eurasian Plate is solid, though under stretch stress from one end to the other, from Europe to the shores of China. We have predicted a new seaway
http://www.zetatalk.com/info/tinfx360.htm
ripping up toward the Ural Mountains, though this rip will not occur until the hour of the Pole Shift. The seaway will rip along the western border of Pakistan and Afghanistan, and aim toward the low lands just to the east of the Ural Mountains. This region has ripped before, as the geology shows.

What happens when long frozen land, formerly tropical so that trapped vegetation has evolved into methane gas, gets stretched? Methane releases, and being lighter than air, rises. A spark of any kind will light this highly flammable gas. Air layers passing over one another are sufficient to spark this, as this is what causes lightning to spark. A slight difference in the electrical charge is all that is required. We have from the start of ZetaTalk stated that Tunguska
http://www.zetatalk.com/science/s57.htm
was a methane explosion, the frozen ground opened by an earthquake and the rising methane lit by lightning. The explosion traveled back along the methane path to the ground, in Tunguska, thus the basis of the myth that a meteor was the cause.

Gulp: The moment giant Florida sinkhole swallows car whole

  • Sinkhole opened up on driveway causing six families to be evacuated
  • Initially measured just 4ft by 4ft but expanded to 10ft by 10ft in minutes
  • Some neighbours say they will stay in hostels for fear of going home

A sinkhole has swallowed a car in Florida and caused six homes to be evacuated after appearing on a driveway yesterday morning.

The hole was barely 4ft wide by 4ft deep when fire crews arrived at the mobile home in Holiday, Florida, at around 10.45am - but by 11 am it had grown to 10ft by 10ft.

The family living at 1728 Torch St, where the hole opened up, have been told their house will be condemned - while five neighbouring families were also evacuated.

Harrisburg Pennsylvania Holds Sinkhole Summit (Nov 7)

Leading experts in engineering, geology and government gathered Friday in Harrisburg for the first ever Sinkhole Summit.

Pennsylvania has two dilemmas when it comes to sinkholes: limestone and water. Both are inescapable, and both cost municipalities millions of dollars in headaches.

Mayor Eric Papenfuse said the summit is a first for the area and might be a first in the nation.

"This isn't just a Harrisburg problem," Papenfuse said. "It's a statewide problem."

People packed into the room at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Friday to debate how to fix sinkholes and fund repairs.

Harrisburg has been plagued by neighborhood-wide sinkholes that have displaced many residents in recent years.
