ZETATALK: THE STRETCH ZONE, THAT SINKING FEELING

ZetaTalk explores the concept of Earth's "stretch zones"—regions where tectonic plates are being pulled apart due to planetary forces, particularly in anticipation of a predicted pole shift. It focuses heavily on the eastern seaboard of the U.S., the Caribbean, and parts of Europe, warning that these areas will experience significant land subsidence due to the widening of the Atlantic Rift.

Key points include:

  • Historical evidence of submerged forests and civilizations off the U.S. East Coast and Bermuda.

  • Predictions that areas like Florida, Georgia, and the UK will lose elevation and be permanently flooded.

  • A detailed catalog of sinkholes, train derailments, infrastructure collapses, and mysterious odors from 2004–2005, interpreted as signs of Earth stretching.

  • The concept of “imploding cities”, where underground infrastructure fails due to shifting rock layers.

  • Warnings to relocate from vulnerable coastal and low-lying areas before the pole shift occurs.

Downtown Calgary Building Crumbling Before Our Eyes (PHOTOS)

CALGARY — A hole measuring about six metres by four metres has appeared on the side of a downtown Calgary office building that's been shedding bricks from its facade since last week.

The gaping hole showed up Sunday evening when several large chunks of construction material let go from the Genco building.

There have been no reports of injuries, but the debris heavily damaged an Audi that had to be left in a parking lot when the problem began.

Fire department battalion chief Ernie Molineaux expects the bricks will continue to tumble because of expansion and contraction caused by daytime heating and overnight cooling.

Molineaux told the Calgary Herald more bricks fell between 1 and 2 a.m. Monday.

"Until it's repaired these things will continue to happen," he said.

Molineaux says the building's owners and engineers will have to figure out how to solve the problem.

He told Metro Calgary it's likely crews will "have to strip the back of the building off."

Barricades, including shipping containers and concrete blocks, remain up to protect the public.

This is what the building looked like last week, when a passerby first noticed the bricks coming loose:

Brunswick County road washes out creating large gap in roadway

Posted: May 24, 2014 7:41 AM EDT

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) -

A road washed out in Bolivia, according to the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office.  The washout created a gap in the roadway that is about 8ft wide, and 20 ft deep.

Members of the sheriff's office say Sunset Harbor Road is closed between Retreat Road and Zion Hill Road. They are asking people to avoid the area.

Officials say the road had been deteriorating for months and crews had been working on it before it washed out.

In initial reports, investigators said the washout was caused by a beaver dam that collapsed and created a surge of water. They say after investigating further they now believe it was caused by a water pipe that collapsed. They believe the old age of the pipe contributed to the collapse.

No one was injured and no homes were damaged.

Officials say they do not know how long it will take to repair the roadway.

Manhattan sinkhole opens up

A Giant Sinkhole Just Opened Up in the Middle of ManhattanExpand

According to a tweet from @NYCityAlerts, a massive sinkhole has just opened up in lower Manhattan. The collapse was preceded by a water main break around 11am, flooding several restaurants including the famed Katz's Deli (don't worry, the pastrami is safe).

Navajo Route 367 collapses in Upper Fruitland

Cause of collapse remains under investigation
By Noel Lyn Smith The Daily Times

UPPER FRUITLAND — A section of Navajo Route 367 that some residents worried would collapse finally cracked off and slid down a hill toward the San Juan River.

The road has been closed for more than a year because a section of it collapsed and another portion developed a large crack. And then another portion gave way last weekend.

"I already knew this was going to happen," said Upper Fruitland vice president Lenora Williams.

A road that once carried vehicle traffic is now a sloped jumble of sand, rock, asphalt and blue pipes.

Shiprock Irrigation supervisor Marlin Saggboy suspects the collapse happened Sunday night because irrigation personnel did not report any trouble over the weekend.

This section was repaved after construction of the Navajo Nation Municipal Pipeline, which supplies water to Farmington, Upper Fruitland, San Juan, Hogback, Nenahnezad and Shiprock.

The Bureau of Reclamation installed the pipeline and worked with the Navajo Engineering and Construction Authority to complete the repaving.

Williams said she made numerous attempts to have the road repaired and tried asking local chapters to address the situation but no avail.

She also wrote letters to the Bureau of Reclamation, NECA, the Navajo Nation Water Resources Department's Shiprock Irrigation and the Bureau of Indian Affairs Road Department.

"None of those entities came or sent a representative, only BIA Roads. I did make an attempt to meet with them to discuss this issue," Williams said.

An irrigation canal runs along the north side of Navajo Route 367. It was not damaged by the collapse, but only a narrow strip of land remains between canal and the damaged area.

The canal is approximately 40 miles long and travels through Nenahnezad, San Juan and Upper Fruitland chapters to supply water to farms that grow squash, cantaloupe, watermelon, corn and alfalfa.

The Navajo Nation assumed responsibility for the canal in 1962 after it was transferred by the Bureau of Indian Affairs.

Saggboy said water service was turned off in an area north of Northern Edge Navajo Casino.

The shut-off will impact farm land located in Nenahnezad and San Juan chapters until repairs are made on Navajo Route 367, he said, then added that notices were sent to local chapters and announcements were made on the radio about the situation.

Saggboy said there will be a meeting today to discuss how to repair the road but officials from other entities could not provide further details. Efforts to reach BIA Roads Department officials in Shiprock for comment were unsuccessful.

Frank Smith, NECA construction manager, said the road construction was completed according to the design standards and there have been irrigation issues with that area in the past.

"We did some construction there but we are not the ones causing the problem," Smith said.

Doug Dockter, assistant construction engineer for the Bureau of Reclamation, said the cause of the collapse is under investigation and a geotechnical engineer was examining the area on Wednesday.

Pyongyang unit block collapses on residents

NORTH Korea's state media has reported an “unimaginable” accident at an apartment construction site in Pyongyang, which had resulted in an unspecified number of casualties.

South Korean officials said the incident involved the collapse of a 23-storey apartment building, which already accommodated close to 100 families.

It is extremely rare for North Korea to report negative news of this type, and the dispatch from the official KCNA news agency included equally rare apologies from top officials.

KCNA said the accident had occurred last Tuesday and was the result of “irresponsible” supervision by officials in charge of the construction.

An “intensive” emergency rescue effort had been carried out to rescue survivors and treat the wounded, it said.

The KCNA did not provide a death toll or elaborate on the cause of the collapse, but said it had left Pyongyang citizens “greatly shocked”.

The agency carried lengthy public apologies by senior officials including the Minister of People's Security, Choe Pu-Il.

“(Choe) repented of himself, saying that he failed to find out factors that can put at risk the lives and properties of the people and to take thoroughgoing measures, thereby causing an unimaginable accident,” it said.

A South Korean official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Seoul was aware of the incident which involved the collapse of a 23-storey apartment complex.

“It is common in North Korea that people move into a new apartment building before construction officially ends,” the official told AFP.

The official said 92 families were believed to be living in the collapsed building, and the final death toll was likely to be “considerable”.

About 2.5 million people — mostly political elites including senior party members or those with privileged background — are believed to live in Pyongyang.

Pyongyang residents are known to enjoy better access to electricity, food, goods and other services than those living elsewhere in the impoverished and isolated country.

Shoulder Of Highway 97 In Walnut Hill Collapses Into 50-Foot Deep Gully

May 15, 2014

A portion of Highway 97 in Walnut Hill has collapsed in an existing 50-foot deep gully.

The travel lanes of the highway are still intact at the site and the road is still open, just north of South Highway 99 and about mile south of Ernest Ward Middle School. But the shoulder of the road is now at the bottom of the gully.

It appears a large drainage pipe traveled under Highway 97 to the site of the collapse and then curved downward along the bank of the gully where it was designed to drain at the bottom. But the pipe apparently separated under the shoulder of the roadway, just beyond a guardrail, and blew out and undermined the shoulder of the road.

The collapse apparently happened during heavy rains late Wednesday afternoon and was discovered overnight.

Florida Department of Transportation contractor Transfield Services inspected the collapse Thursday morning and determined that it is safe for both lanes of Highway 97 to remain open.

Pictured above and below: A drainage pipe failed and a portion of the shoulder of Highway 97 collapsed into a 50-foot deep gully. The bottom photo shows the dirt from the roadway shoulder at the bottom of the gully. NorthEscambia.com photos, click to enlarge.
