Bogoslof Volcanic Eruption!

In all my years of monitoring the Alaskan Volcanoes, I've not seen this one --- So it is very much beyond the norm----

Janis, while Bogoslof does have somewhat of a history of volcanic eruptions, it is by no means as active as say Cleveland, Pavlof, or even Shishalden volcanoes, this one really woke up in large fashion.

Willa, could you elaborate on what is "unusual" about it?  I haven't followed the volcano site like this and I'm not sure what the anomaly is.  I did see that it has been moved to RED!  Making sense with the NOAA buoy data from a few days ago, though, I believe.
