The sky of the largest city in western Ukraine was visited by a disintegrating bright white fireball on January 23, 2016, local time.
The entry of this space rock must have been impressive and has most probably created a loud sonic boom.
Major Daylight Fireball Over Southeastern US – January, 24th 2016
The American Meteor Society has received over 50 reports of an extremely bright daylight fireball on Sunday, Janu.... It was observed over a large portion of the north of Florida and south of Georgia. This event occurred near 10:25am ET time or 15:25 Universal Time.
Marc Fries (Research Scientist at the Planetary Science Institute located in Tucson, AZ – NASA) already stated it is a new meteorite fall! The estimated trajectory generated by Mike Hankey (AMS Operations Manager) for this event is “an absolute, spot-on bullseye [sic]” with the radar imagery obtained by NASA. More details will be provided as information arrives.
Below is the heat map of the witnesses and the estimated ground trajectory of this event.

The website of astronomy magazine Tähdet ja avaruus, which uses the assistance of astronomers from across Finland, says that there were some 200 reports of sightings of a bright flash of light in the dark skies of southern and western areas at about 8 pm Saturday.
According to Tähdet ja avaruus the flashing light was likely a meteorite but said they had not yet seen Saturday night's incident captured in a photograph.
If the suspected meteorite was photographed, it might be possible to determine its trajectory and possibly learn if the object may have reached the Earth's surface.

SNELLVILLE, Ga. — People all across the metro Atlanta area reported seeing a large fireball streak through the sky Monday afternoon over Snellville and Winder.
Several WSB-TV viewers submitted images and video to Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Glenn Burns of the object, which was spotted around 3:45 p.m.

Glenn spoke to officials at the Tellus Science Museum in Cartersville, who say they believe the mysterious fireball is space debris, but so far, no one has officially determined what it was.

Glenn is on the case. Check back later to see if we’ve solved this mystery and send us your pictures.
Here is the video of this object seen over Snellville at 3:45 this afternoon. No sound was observed. This was submitted by one of our FB friends.Posted by Glenn Burns on Monday, January 11, 2016

The gif animated image was captured by cameras at the Ebro Observatory (E. Blanch / CSIC-URLl – JMTrigo / CSIC-IEEC).
This bright fireball got brighter than the full Moon.
The tremendeous meteor was apparently accompanied by a strong boom as reported by many witnesses in central and northern Spain – from Aragon, Balearic Islands, Valencia, Madrid, Navarra, Basque Country to Murcia.
Fireball Over Southwest U.S. (Dec 22)
The object described as colorful and round fireball streaked across the western sky heading west just after 6:15 P.M., on Tuesday, December 22, 2015.
“It looked like a comet because it changed colors. Green to red. It was really cool,” stated Todd N Zabrina Martin.
“It looked like something entering the atmosphere and breaking up, reminded me of when the space shuttle burned up,” stated Jim Pryor.
Early unconfirmed reports are describing the “object” as a meteor that was seen over several states including Nevada and California.
As of 6:30 P.M., there has been no official confirmation on what exactly the object was.

NASA reports a bright fireball occurred over Georgia at 6:33 p.m. Thursday. It could be spotted from Chattanooga and across much of the Southeast.
All six NASA sky meteor cameras in the region picked up the meteor at an altitude of 50 miles above the town of McDonough, NASA said. From its brightness, it is estimated that this piece of an asteroid weighed at least 150 pounds and was over 16 inches in diameter.
"It entered the atmosphere at a steep angle (16 degrees from vertical) and moved almost due south at a speed of 29,000 miles per hour," NASA stated.
The NASA cameras tracked it to an altitude of 17 miles above the town of Locust Grove, where it had slowed to a speed of 9000 miles per hour, at which point the meteor ceased producing light by burning up.
It is possible that fragments of the object survived to reach the ground as meteorites; If so, they are located in Henry County south of Locust Grove, or in the counties adjacent to this area.
Meteor fireball leaves huge plume as it streaks across Swedish skies - 14th December 2015
Raw video of something in the sky over Stockholm, Sweden! (Ball of fire? Jet stream?) Will update with more information if it becomes available. Video taken on 2015-12-14 in Stockholm, Sweden. *** Excuse the shakiness of the video, I was not expecting to see this 'fireball' at all and was quite taken by surprise.
Time of occurrence: around 14:36 (02:36 PM)

Tuesday, December 8, 2015, 5:51 PM - Astrophotographer Michael Boschat has been studying the night sky for nearly 60 years and over the weekend, he managed to capture a once-in-a-lifetime shot.
Two fireballs lit up the sky over Nova Scotia on Sunday around 6 p.m., just as Boschat was setting up his camera and telescope from his home in Halifax, the CBC reports.
He was able to capture an image of the streaks, which were only visible in the sky for about 10 seconds, moments before they vanished out of sight.
Boschat, who is a member of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, emailed the picture to the group. One of the members works at NASA's Ames Research Centre and confirmed the streaks of light were the first stage of an Atlas V rocket that was launched from Cape Canaveral, Florida to send the Cygnus spacecraft to the International Space Station (ISS).
Boschat said the fireballs may have looked like meteors to a casual observer, but "you'd never see fireballs travelling sort of parallel to each other, even during a meteor shower," he told the CBC.
"I was pretty happy, kind of lucky," he said of his photograph.
