Deadly Eruption at Sumatra's Mt Sinabung -May 21
Mt Sinabung blasted volcanic ash 2 miles high, with pyroclastic flows that tumbled down the slopes for 3 miles.
Three people were killed and four were critically injured after Mount Sinabung erupted in Sumatra Saturday.
All of the victims were working on their farms in the village of Gamber 2.5 miles away from the base of the volcano.
"Seven people were exposed to the hot clouds, killing three and leaving four others in critical condition," he said in a statement, adding the injured had been taken to hospital.
Several houses were also destroyed during the eruptions.
