Japan: A new island appears in the Ogasawara Islands - November 2013
Active volcanoes (Sep 28, 2012)
"Of course all volcanoes will explode, as this is going to be a very severe pole shift. What about the months and years preceding the pole shift? It is no secret that Mammoth Lake and the caldera of Yellowstone are warming up, and the populace has been prepared for these occurrences by the movie Volcano where there, in the middle of LA, lava is bubbling up. In fact, there is a fault line running from the approximate San Diego/LA area, up into the Sierras, and this is liable to rupture rather violently during one of the quakes that precedes the pole shift by some months. Volcanic eruptions from that area in the Sierras can be expected. Will Mount St. Helen erupt? All volcanoes that have been active within the memory of man will begin spewing and burping and oozing, and many that were not expected to become active will reactive. " ZetaTalk - Feb 15, 2000

Canary Islands, El Hierro volcano - La Restinga , A Ghost town as the only people left behind are the Scientists
El Hierro, La Restinga looked like something out of the end of the world last night after the evacuation took place of the town, which was on the order of the government of Gran Canaria, the only people left behind were the scientists who worked throughout the night.
On the way from the center of the island to the town, very few cars passed and the sense of desolation was felt after a day of intense bustle of people leaving the area, with occasional attack of the nerves among some, which was controlled by the Security and emergency services.
The entrance Road to the coastal town of El Pinar was later blocked by the Guardia Civil only allowing entrance to people in case of an emergency for example someone who may of left medication behind in their house forgotten by the rush of the eviction.
An uneasy calm followed, however many asked how long before they could return to their homes as more than 600 were evacuated.
Researchers from the National Geographic Institute have a tough task ahead, the increase in tremors announces that the magma is moving as the seismographs show an indication it is approaching the coast. Scientists warn that this change in trend confirms that another opening has formed of the volcano but this time closer to the mainland.
The silence and dark roads of the island painted a picture of calm, tense, waiting for a geological event that the inhabitants of El Hierro have had to get used to.
Scientists are continuing to keep a close eye on the situation and the authorities have taken the necessary measures and protocols required in these situations.

Canary Islands, El Hierro volcano - latest updates
Update 12/10 – 10:56 UTC : The authorities are making a list of boat owners (fisherman and tourists) who have their boats still anchored in the La Restinga port. Emergency people and scientists are examining a perfect time frame to allow the fishermen to move their boats to La Estaca, the northern port of El Hierro. A time has not been set yet. A boatman talking to Joke Volta told that he was not eager to do it, as the sea is very turbulent today. Not everybody wants to be enlisted as they have to navigate themselves and are in fear of a possible unexpected volcano danger.
Update 12/10 – 10:47 UTC : The authorities are allowing people from La Restinga who were not able to take their belongings with them yesterday or forgot vital things, to go to their houses accompanied by police. They are currently coming together on a certain location until PEVOLCA gives the green light.
Update 12/10 – 10:08 UTC : 78 evacuated people have spend the night in the Valverde school at the northern side of El Hierro. Since the red alert was called in La Restinga, 11 new low magnitude quakes have been recorded (max. 2.7).

Canary Islands: Town flees volcano threat
The small town of La Restinga, on the Canary Island of El Hierro, was evacuated yesterday as a precaution against another undersea volcanic eruption.
The decision followed an eruption three miles off the coast on Monday, following thousands of small tremors since July. No damage was caused.

Canary Islands, El Hierro volcano - Spanish Town Evacuated Because of Volcano Threat
Officials say they are evacuating some 600 residents from a small coastal town on the Spanish Canary island of Hierro because of volcanic activity in the area.
Tuesday's decision by the regional government to evacuate La Restinga town came after the National Geographic Institute confirmed there was an undersea eruption some 3 miles off the coast Monday and that another eruption closer to Hierro island is possible.
No damage was caused by Monday's eruption.
Hierro, with 11,000 residents, has been on alert level 2 in a scale of 4 in recent weeks for fear of an eruption, but officials insist an eruption is not likely to be major.
The Canary Islands lie off the coast of northwest African and were formed by volcanic activity. Hierro has some 500 volcanoes.

Usa, Cleveland volcano - If the lava dome continues to grow in the summit crater, the possibility of an explosive event increases
...If the lava dome continues to grow in the summit crater, the possibility of an explosive event increases. With continued lava dome growth, lava may eventually overflow the crater rim to produce a lava flow and/or collapse to produce pyroclastic flows. Sudden collapse of the effusing lava could result in the generation of a volcanic ash cloud. However, lava may continue to erupt without an explosive event. It is possible that explosions from the summit crater vent could produce ash clouds that may exceed 20,000 ft above sea level. These events can occur without warning and may go undetected in satellite imagery for hours. However, lightning associated with significant ash-producing events may be detected within minutes using an automated alarm system. ...
