Spain Experiences its Worst Train Accident in 40 Years An increase in train derailments was one of the first symptoms of the approach of Planet X to become noticeable, being expressed even before Planet X entered the inner solar system in 2003. Planet X was described as affecting the Earth from afar, like tugging on the edge of a spider web where the effects are felt elsewhere on the web; in this way there has been an increase in earthquakes and unpredictable weather going back years, even before Planet X entered the solar system, due to the increased swirling of the Earth’s core. It is therefore logical that an increase in train derailments would accompany any increase in seismic activity – train tracks need to be straight and even the slightest shift to the side of a section of track would cause a train to derail. The area most affected by train derailments is the stretch zone. Stretch zone quakes are silent, and people are generally unaware anything is happening, although signs such as booms and trumpet sounds can occur. This zone stretches from Western Europe across the Eurasian Plate, and also includes the South-East United States, the St. Lawrence Seaway, the Red Sea and the African Rift. A Canadian Pacific Railway train carrying crude oil derailed Sunday and prompted some evacuations in Wisconsin, the second day in a row a freight train derailed in the state.The eastbound CP train derailed about 2 p.m. in Watertown, in the southeastern part of the state. The railroad said at least 10 cars derailed, and some were leaking.
No fires or injuries were reported. CP was sending teams to the site.
"CP takes this incident extremely seriously," the railroad said in a news release. The company did not say how much oil spilled.
Federal investigators and hazardous material specialists are on their way to the scene, the Federal Railroad Administration said in a tweet.
Residents of about 35 homes were asked to evacuate around 4 p.m., said Donna Haugom, director of the Jefferson County Office of Emergency Management.
On Saturday, a freight train derailed near Alma in western Wisconsin, spilling thousands of gallons of ethanol. BNSF Railway said crews continued Sunday to transfer ethanol from the derailed cars and get the cars back on the tracks.
The BNSF train derailed at 8:45 a.m. Saturday about 2 miles north of Alma, a town along the Mississippi River. Some of the 25 derailed cars were empty auto racks and tanker cars.
BNSF said railroad crews stopped the leaks from five tanker cars and placed containment booms along the shoreline. One tanker released an estimated 18,000 gallons of ethanol, and the other four released an estimated 5 to 500 gallons each.
No one was hurt. BNSF said it expects the tracks to return to service Monday morning.

Train derails in Wisconsin: 32 cars off track, voluntary evacuation announced
At least 32 cars have derailed near Alma, Wisconsin, with some tankers containing denatured alcohol, according to the sheriff’s office. A voluntary evacuation has been announced.Emergency crews have arrived at the scene of the derailment near the town of Alma, located along the Mississippi River, about 80 miles south east of Minneapolis.
The cause of the accident is not yet clear. There have been no reports of injuries. The derailment has prompted several road closures, according to the Buffalo County sheriff’s office.
BNSF Railway said that there have been no reports of fire or smoke.
Fox9 news reported that the tankers contained oil. AP cited the BNSF Railway statement saying that the derailed cars included empty auto racks and tanker cars of denatured alcohol.
“At about 8:45 CST this morning a train derailed approximately two miles north of Alma, WI,” the BNSF Railway said in a statement.
Photos from the scene show several cars turned upside down near the bank of the Mississippi river.

Train derails outside Spanish, Ontario

The clean-up continues after a Huron Central freight train derailed near the town of Spanish, Ont., about 100 kilometres southwest of Sudbury.
A company spokesperson says 13 tanker cars left the tracks late last night as the 77-car train was heading west.No injuries or spills were reported and there is no report of any hazardous material on the train.
Crews from Huron Central Railway are on site. Transport Canada and Ontario's Ministry of Environment are investigating.

CTA train derails in Chicago injuring one

CHICAGO (WGN) — One person was taken to the hospital following a train derailment in Chicago Saturday afternoon, according to our Chicago affiliate WGN.
The Chicago Fire Department responded to a CTA car derailment in the city’s North Side near the Granville stop at Broadway.

Passengers were evacuated from the train. Officials told WGN one person was taken to the hospital with a shoulder injury.
Power was shut off and service suspended between Howard and Bryn Mawr on the city’s Red Line following the accident.

Train carrying automobiles derails in Durand, sends 14 railcars off tracks

DURAND, MI – A freight train carrying automobiles derailed shortly after midnight Friday, Oct. 30, sending 14 railcars off of the tracks and closing several streets in town.
The 155-car CN train was heading west from Port Huron to Battle Creek when it derailed in Durand, according to CN Spokesman Patrick Waldron.
Oak and New Lothrop streets were because of the crash, Waldron said, but have since been cleared of wreckage.
Main Street in Durand is still closed because of the crash, he said.
Waldron said they're investigating the cause of the crash and do not know how the train was traveling at the time of the crash.
There were no injuries reported, according to CN.
"Ultimately we'll be working through the morning and into the afternoon before we can get Main Street reopened," Waldron said.
There were no hazardous materials involved in the crash, he said.

According to Montreal police, several empty wagons on the train tipped over and hit a building that has since been evacuated.
The derailment occurred near a train yard. Montreal emergency responders are on the scene.

A passenger train travelling from Mora to Stockholm tore up asphalt, a level crossing barrier, and an electrical wire cabinet when it went off the rails in central Sala on Monday morning.
Nobody was injured when the train derailed just outside Sala railway station, around 100 kilometres north-west of the Swedish capital, in the morning rush hour at around 9am, a spokesperson for the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) told The Local."It was driving towards a stop sign, so it was going at a very low speed. The passengers have been evacuated and have been put on replacement buses," said Lars Hedström.
Traffic in both directions was disrupted and travellers rerouted via nearby Västerås while inspectors examined damage to the train and tracks. Trafikverket said in an update on its website on Monday afternoon that the railway through Sala was expected to be out of use until Friday."It must have been a proper derailment, because the train had torn up asphalt and had brought with it an electrical cabinet and a barrier. Luckily the asphalt seems to have stopped the train; if it had had time to gain speed things could have been catastrophic," said Jan Eriksson, a reporter at the TT newswire and a witness at the scene.

Train services have been disrupted on the main railway line between Norwich and Cambridge and Peterborough after a freight train was derailed.
Train operator Abellio Greater Anglia says services between Norwich and Cambridge and Peterborough are likely to be disrupted until the end of the today.The problems follow the derailment of a freight train at Wymondham earlier today.
Services are currently beginning and terminating at Thetford with a bus service on to Norwich. But it's adding an hour to journey times.

Cargo train derails in rail yard near North Baltimore
NORTH BALTIMORE, Ohio — A cargo train derailed in a CSX rail yard near this Wood County community early today, authorities said.
There were no injuries, according to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff deputies were notified of the incident at 7:52 a.m., a dispatcher at the office said. The rail yard is about two miles west of North Baltimore at 17000 Deshler Rd.
The dispatcher said she did not know how many cars derailed and whether there was any spillage of hazardous materials. A CSX spokesman was not immediately available for comment.
The incident is under investigation.
North Baltimore is about 32 miles south of Toledo.
