Spain Experiences its Worst Train Accident in 40 Years An increase in train derailments was one of the first symptoms of the approach of Planet X to become noticeable, being expressed even before Planet X entered the inner solar system in 2003. Planet X was described as affecting the Earth from afar, like tugging on the edge of a spider web where the effects are felt elsewhere on the web; in this way there has been an increase in earthquakes and unpredictable weather going back years, even before Planet X entered the solar system, due to the increased swirling of the Earth’s core. It is therefore logical that an increase in train derailments would accompany any increase in seismic activity – train tracks need to be straight and even the slightest shift to the side of a section of track would cause a train to derail. The area most affected by train derailments is the stretch zone. Stretch zone quakes are silent, and people are generally unaware anything is happening, although signs such as booms and trumpet sounds can occur. This zone stretches from Western Europe across the Eurasian Plate, and also includes the South-East United States, the St. Lawrence Seaway, the Red Sea and the African Rift. In other parts of the world, shifting ground is more associated with earthquakes that people are aware of, such as the Pacific which is compressing, so authorities inspect railway tracks after any seismic activity, reducing the likelihood of accidents. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Some Examples (click on pictures for link): |

A train transporting diesel from Blantyre to Limbe overturned on Monday morning after it derailed at Makata Industrial Area in the city.
According to owners of the train Central and East African Railways (CEAR), 240,000 litres of diesel is feared to have been lost during the accident which involved a train with two locomotives and six wagons.
Onlookers at the scene of the incident
After the accident occurred, people from surrounding areas rushed to the scene with jerry cans and buckets to steal fuel but Police reacted quickly to secure the area.
Communications and Corporate Image Manager for CEAR Chisomo Mwamadi said the accident occurred after the two locomotives disconnected which made the wagons to start moving backwards and eventually overturn.
Mwamadi added that there was a huge spillage of fuel which is currently being taken care of by the company and the city’s environmental department.
“We are handling the situation together with the environmental department,” he explained.
According to CEAR, this the first accident to have occurred since the company began its operations.

Floods cause train crash near eastern Saudi city, injuring 18 (Feb 17)

RIYADH: A Saudi train derailed near the eastern city of Dammam on Friday, injuring 18 people, after flooding from heavy rains caused the rail line to erode, the Saudi Railways Organisation said in a statement.
The 193 passengers and 6 crew members were transferred to another train and taken to Dammam after the incident occurred at about 1:00 am, it said, adding that all injuries were minor.
Repair work has begun on the closed Riyadh Dammam track, added the statement carried by the state news agency SPA. Heavy rains have lashed Saudi Arabia for several days, causing severe flash floods throughout the kingdom and at least one death in southern Asir province.
Flooding can be politically sensitive in the Islamic kingdom, where previous incidents – notably in the second city of Jeddah – have prompted anger over the government’s perceived failure to build suitable prevention systems.

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Suffolk police are on scene investigating a train derailment in the 300 block of Wellons Street in Suffolk.
Dispatchers were alerted at 6:52 a.m. about the incident involving a Norfolk Southern train. No injuries have been reported.
A spokesperson for Norfolk Southern Corp. says the train was traveling through Suffolk when 44 coal cars derailed. Crews are currently removing the damaged coal cars and spills from the tracks.
The Golden Peanuts warehouse building was damaged by coal spilled from the train, according to Suffolk Police Department. In addition, a home in the 300 block of Wellons Street sustained two broken windows from coal debris, and a car back window was broken from being stuck by coal in the same area.
“I heard a big boom sound, like almost sounding like a big freight train,” said Andrea Harris, who lives nearby. “And then I saw smoke when I was looking out of my bedroom window, and sparks.”
