Spain Experiences its Worst Train Accident in 40 Years An increase in train derailments was one of the first symptoms of the approach of Planet X to become noticeable, being expressed even before Planet X entered the inner solar system in 2003. Planet X was described as affecting the Earth from afar, like tugging on the edge of a spider web where the effects are felt elsewhere on the web; in this way there has been an increase in earthquakes and unpredictable weather going back years, even before Planet X entered the solar system, due to the increased swirling of the Earth’s core. It is therefore logical that an increase in train derailments would accompany any increase in seismic activity – train tracks need to be straight and even the slightest shift to the side of a section of track would cause a train to derail. The area most affected by train derailments is the stretch zone. Stretch zone quakes are silent, and people are generally unaware anything is happening, although signs such as booms and trumpet sounds can occur. This zone stretches from Western Europe across the Eurasian Plate, and also includes the South-East United States, the St. Lawrence Seaway, the Red Sea and the African Rift. In other parts of the world, shifting ground is more associated with earthquakes that people are aware of, such as the Pacific which is compressing, so authorities inspect railway tracks after any seismic activity, reducing the likelihood of accidents. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Some Examples (click on pictures for link): |

BEKASI: Operators of Bekasi’s railway station cancelled dozens of train trips on Sunday after a train derailed in Jatinegara Station, blocking the lines for trips from the eastern part of Jakarta.
Deputy head at Bekasi Station, Dwi Effendi, said the train derailed on Saturday night, prompting the trip cancellations from early on Sunday.
“We announced the cancellations since dawn [on Sunday],” Dwi said as quoted by kompas.com.
The cancellations prompted passengers to take other means of transportation to get to Jakarta.
The majority of passengers took intercity buses to downtown Jakarta, while others journeyed on diesel-powered trains bound for Senen railway station in Central Jakarta.
The train’s derailment in Jatinegara station also affected trains coming into the station from West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta and East Java. Most incoming travellers experienced at least a 30-minute delay, kompas.com reported.
SABIN, Minn. – Nine rail cars were off their tracks Saturday afternoon after a BNSF Railway train derailed about 10 miles south of Moorhead in rural Clay County.
SABIN, Minn. – Nine rail cars were off their tracks Saturday afternoon after a BNSF Railway train derailed about 10 miles south of Moorhead in rural Clay County.
The accident occurred around 1:30 p.m., less than a mile north of Hoff Lutheran Church, said Deputy Mike Trygg of the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
Trygg said the nine cars that came off the track had not been hauling cargo, and no injuries were reported. He said there was no hazardous waste spilled.
Amy McBeth, a spokeswoman for BNSF, said the cause of the accident was not yet known but was being investigated. She said crews expected to have the track cleared and the line repaired by early this afternoon.
On average, 10 cars per day travel that stretch of track, McBeth said. The train that derailed had 33 cars loaded and 31 without a load and was heading to Minot, N.D., coming north from Minneapolis, she said. It was hauling a variety of types of freight, she said.
A long string of rail cars that had been connected to those that derailed still sat on the track north of the site of the accident about two hours after the incident, which blocked access across 100th Avenue South where it crosses the track.
McBeth said she wasn’t sure how long it would be before those cars would be released to continue north.
MINEOLA, Texas — A freight train derailment in rural East Texas has left 18 grain-hauling cars off the tracks as Union Pacific officials review whether heat was a factor.
MINEOLA, Texas (AP) — A freight train derailment in rural East Texas has left 18 grain-hauling cars off the tracks as Union Pacific officials review whether heat was a factor.
UP spokeswoman Raquel (ruh-KEL') Espinoza says crews are working to clear the tracks, several miles east of Mineola (min-ee-OH'-luh), but it would likely be Saturday before the line reopens.
She says nobody was hurt Thursday afternoon in the derailment of a train made up of four locomotives and 99 cars, traveling from Kingfisher, Okla., to Westwego, La.
Espinoza says the cause of the derailment is sought, but heat will be considered. The National Weather Service says the temperature in the area reached 109 degrees.
Some hopper cars overturned, spilling grain. Espinoza didn't immediately have a damage estimate.
Mineola is 75 miles east of Dallas.
Derailment crews are working on the clean up of nine derailed freight cars – one of which is an upright tanker of hydrogen peroxide – behind Northland Corp., according to CSX officials.
There were no injuries, and the derailment produced no leaks or hazards to the surrounding area, CSX spokeswoman Carla Groleau said.
Four of the nine cars are lying on their side, and the other five are upright, Groleau said.
“Derailing doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re knocked over. They’re just knocked off track,” Groleau said.
The mixed-freight train was carrying scrap , rocks and the one tanker with hydrogen peroxide. Many of the cars were empty, Groleau said.
The derailment, called in to Oldham County dispatch shortly after midnight Friday morning, was in a wooded area behind Northland Corp., away from roads and out of si

EAGLE LAKE — Four Canadian Pacific eastbound rail cars carrying ethanol went off their tracks in Eagle Lake about 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, prompting the evacuation of 320 nearby residents.
“There was no leaking. We did that as a precautionary measure,” Eagle Lake Mayor Tim Auringer said.
Canadian Pacific spokesman Mike Lovecchio said the derailment along Highway 14 on the northeast edge of town involved no injuries and the cause has yet to be determined.
The Salvation Army and the Red Cross set up an emergency shelter center at the Eagle Lake American Legion, but Auringer said Wednesday night that most of those evacuated had found lodging in Mankato motels or with friends and relatives.
He said about 60 housing units — townhomes and single-family residences — were affected and Canadian Pacific personnel would be draining the cars of ethanol overnight.
He said residents would be allowed back into their homes sometime today.

SUN-TIMES MEDIA WIRE August 2, 2011 5:27PM
A woman was hospitalized and Blue Line service near O’Hare Airport was disrupted for more than five hours after a train car derailed near the airport station Tuesday afternoon.
The Blue Line train was leaving the O’Hare station when it derailed at 4:47 p.m. while going through an interlocking switch, CTA spokeswoman Catherine Hosinski said.
Fire Media Affairs Director Larry Langford said the derailment happened in a tunnel about 1,000 feet from the station.
One woman suffered a minor shoulder injury and was taken to an area hospital for treatment, Langford said. No other injuries were reported.
Passengers were safely escorted off the train and back to the O’Hare station platform, Hosinski said.
The CTA offered a shuttle bus between the Rosemont and O’Hare stations after the incident, Hosinski said. By 7:30 p.m., Blue Line trains were running on a single track between the Rosemont and O’Hare stations.
Normal service was restored about 10:15 p.m., she said.

KOLKATA, India -- Officials say a train accident in eastern India has caused one fatality and at least several injured.
Barun Bharadwaj, a senior railway official, said the accident occurred late Sunday near Malda, 185 miles (300 kilometers) northeast of Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal.
He said that three coaches and the engine of the Gauhati-Bangalore express derailed and were thrown into the path of the oncoming Azimganj express.
Earlier this month at least 68 people were killed when a packed passenger train derailed in north India.
India's railroad network is one of the largest in the world and carries about 14 million passengers each day. Accidents are common, with most blamed on poor maintenance and human error.
