It wasn't easy finding the original SAS Survival Guide. If you follow the link below, you CAN get it, but double-check that you are getting the 576 page book and NOT the pocket guide. There have been many knock-offs of this guide, most of which will get you killed or worse.

Many countries appear to have blocked the import of the original,so if you're outside the U.S.,try online bookstores that have out-of-print sections, or on E-Bay.

Thank you. I bought the SAS Survival Handbook at Amazon, and it is a terrific book! The small, pocket-sized edition may not be complete or the best, but it does not take up room or weigh much.

Hi Lothar , no , the book you 're showing is not the one which is meant by Mike ;
The original booktitle of the book we're talking about , is : SAS Survival Handbook .
Although the booktitle : SAS Urban Survival Handbook looks quite the same as the one I mentioned ,
it is NOT the one which is meant by Mike .
I know this , because I own the SAS Survival Handbook (translated into Dutch) and , indeed it measures 576 pages .
The book you're showing is ALSO written by John "Lofty" Wiseman , but it is quite a different book :
It mainly handles/captures subjects in a more general way (as in the title : urban ;) NOT LIKE in his
book : SAS Survival Handbook .
In your book , Wiseman is not teaching you how to survive in the wild , in every climate , on land
or at sea , because this is the Urban-"version".

Just google and you 'll find out that your book - the urban-"version" - measures less pages

Greetings from Holland ,

Hi Pam...try a very specific search, check details at different steps of purchase, and read buyer reviews. The original book has a cover with a white background,w/ black and some red text.

I noticed there's a "revised" version, but personally I am suspicious when this happens. The original contains instructions on large, improvised traps for deer etc. TPTB decided that some maniac, somewhere, some time, could (possibly or at least might) use this info as the basis for a man-trap, thereby justifying removing the book from the shelves!

If I'm wrong, and you have the revised ed.,please post a response!
