Strange Cable Interference Last Jan-April 2009 Trimester.

Hello, I felt like sharing something that was happening to my cable TV earlier this year. I was laid off from my job sometime in February 2009 (much needed vacation) and so I went back into the habit of staying up late and sleeping in. Anyways, what I began to notice was that starting around 1:30 a.m. MT , interference with my cable TV would begin. There would be lots of pixelating and sound interference to the point that there wasn't any point in watching it anymore. Sometimes all the channels would freeze on a scene and that was that. It wouldn't clear up until morning and then it was fine for the whole day until right around 1:30 a.m MT. I would usually fall asleep around 4 a.m and that was when the interference seemed to peak. It happened every night, routinely, until around the end of April. I can't say when it started, but it wasn't like that around Christmas time last year and I first noticed it in February. During January I was working and had to wake up early and go to sleep early so not much TV watching. I never watch TV in the morning before work at 6 a.m. so I don't know if it began in January.

They say the Jan- April trimester has the least influence from the Sun, allowing PX more dominance, I believe. I don't know if anyone else had the same experience but considering all the recent magnetosphere disturbances there is no question in my mind that Jan-April will allow for some heavy activity. My cable has been normal since April 2009, but it was a strange phenomenon to experience.

My internet has also been extremely irratic this past month. I seem to lose my connection in midstream and it locks up my internet explorer. Before all this nonsense I had the fastest internet I've owned yet .

I also have had the same types of problems with my sat. tv. off and on most of the year. Same with the cpu. I suspect that it is caused by the wobble.

I believe you are right about that Jim. I think the charged tail is also the culprit. The fact that my cable TV was experiencing heavy interference right around 1:30 a.m. MT until around 6 a.m. seems to suggest that it was the tail coming around the side of Earth, just before the Sun actually rose. The charged nature of the tail along with debris will make short work of satellites. I haven't had interference like that since April, the end of the weakest trimester. Now that we are approaching that trimester again, I feel the magnetic disturbances and electrical outages are going to be strong.

This has been exactly my experience with my Directv for over a year now.  Even when we're not in the middle of a storm, there are constant disturbances but I haven't marked down the times of day it happens.  I wonder if it's 3pm and 8pm.  I know for sure that it also happens much later....to a point where its useless to even keep the tv on.  The technicians have been to my home at least twice in the last 3 months and I asked the technician if he was getting more phone calls.  It was the day after the tornadoes that ripped through Alabama and I pointed out that he would probably be slammed with work because the grid would be magnetically disturbed.  He looked at me like I had 2 heads.  I also asked him if his supervisors had discussed the possibility in an uptick of disturbances due to weather etc.  He said they had not and it doesn't seem to be the policy to inform the techs of anything other than where to go.

Lately, I'm having a very difficult time staying on many news articles and sometimes when I have 2 or 3 links open at once, I seem to be confusing my computer and it brings me to a Vision Net connection failure page.  I've been booted off CNN news and The Washington post with this same message.  I never had problems directly between myself and this ning until today.  I posted a couple of things and when I hit add comment it didn't.  About 10 minutes later I had a double posting.  Now I really have to pay close attention to the posts to see if my add comments link is actually adding the comment.  I suspect we're all  having technical difficulties, with all of our gadgets but today I wanted to share my thoughts.  I'm in rural western SC
