In December 2014 several countries in the Sunda plate were flooded - Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand. Air Asia 8501

In the news today, we have the Air Asia flight QZ8501 lost contact with air traffic control and officially declared missing and there are also reports came out saying wreckage has been spotted at Belitung Island. Loud bangs have been heard by local fishermen around 7 - 8 am local time. New Zealand quakes

Wellington in New Zealand had a very shaky weekend starting with a magnitude 5.7 on Friday afternoon, followed by a 5.9 on Saturday morning then a big jolt of 6.5 lasted for about a minute(originally recorded at 6.9 then it got downgraded to 6.5).
