The multi-apartment residential building, constructed at the cost of the interest participants (future owners), was put into operation in 2009. Because sinkhole can be only under one building.

@Wickus,

if the elastic on your pants wears out and finally snaps, it is not EVERY inch on that elastic that snaps and separate, it is certain places, weak point, that give.

Same with rock layers and the like. Weak point break first. Sinkholes happen in places, not the whole state at once. Crevasses very much happen in places, pulling apart while the sides of the crevasse are firm.

But why only the 1 building if it was due to the stretch?

All new housing, it seems.. they must´ve known that something wasn´t quite right .. : " Before the collapse the building was tilting to one side for several days. Starting with a small crack the inadmissible deviation of the building's corners reached 720 mm between April 1 and April 5."  seems they were out there inspecting with a microscope... " displacement of the main structures" !!!  wow..

Thanks, Andrey !
