We'll be seeing an uptick in unusual home and business gas explosions and I'm trying to locate specific ZT on the matter.  Below is a refresher for the many gas related news articles.

Fault lines, when adjusting, do not just rip apart one day during a dramatic earthquake. They most often creep. Laying gas lines along or across a fault line is asking for an accident of this sort. Fault lines are also seldom so clearly delineated that one can go a mile in this or that direction and avoid their action. Where a slip-slide fault such as the San Andreas will often leave a clear line on the surface, this is only the surface action, not what occurs in the rock layers on either side which can fracture for a long way to either side during any movement. The gas company, or the age of the pipes, will be faulted but in truth the finger should be pointed in many directions. The public, who insist on living at such a scenic spot, is to blame. Officials, who zoned for housing are to blame. The public utility company, for allowing gas lines in the area, is to blame. But this will change nothing, while man continues to live on the San Andreas, even as it awakens. EOZT

The danger from radon gas will not be increased as a result of the pole shift. Radon gas is emitted by rock containing uranium, which is degrading. In normal circumstances, where air can circulate, it is disbursed rapidly as is any methane created by decay of organic material. The danger from these gasses comes from confinement - being trapped in a mine, a basement, or beneath the permafrost. The dangers are well known. For methane, it is explosions. An accumulation of methane gas can be identified by the smell of rotten eggs, or as some have described it, dirty socks or cabbage soup. For radon gas the danger is lung cancer, from the continual exposure to the radioactive air. Radon gas is odorless, and cannot be detected except by specialized equipment not in the hands of the average person.

In that the pole shift, or the Earth changes preceding the pole shift, can fracture rock and release pockets of either gas, survivors should be cautious about huddling in bunkers. You are safer out in the open air, or in a trench you have dug that will allow the pole shift winds to pass over you, but nothing to fall on and crush you. The fact that both methane gas and radon gas can accumulate in the bunkers of the elite is one of the reasons we have stated that they have dug their own graves. EOZT

Anyone watching the news, for instance the news on the San Bruno explosion in a distribution line close to the San Andreas Fault line, knows that gas in any form is a danger. Oil and gas refineries explode when rigid piping cracks. Oil or gas wells explode when the ground around them moves. And the gas distribution lines running under cities are no exception. They likewise will explode. Gas lines, whether along the street or within a home, are rigid. In some cases automatic shutoff valves can limit the amount of gas available for an explosion by sensing a drop in pressure, but this is always after the fact. The explosion has already occurred. Utilizing gas on a planet prone to earthquakes was a mistake to begin with, but man never thinks of the consequences when striving for modern conveniences. We have advised turning off the gas at the street, though when the street explodes and your neighbor's homes are on fire you are not likely to escape the holocaust. A better alternative is to live in an area where gas is not available, as in your rural safe location where you will be doing a form of camping while gardening. A campfire at night, for cooking and washing and a bit of friendly light before bed. Nothing explosive. EOZT

SOZT Answer: It is no accident that the New Madrid fault lies under the Mississippi River near Memphis, as rivers form in lowlands created when land pulls apart, separating the rock fingers and weakening support for the land. Thus, the Ohio River bed also is an indication of where rock fingers will pull apart. Two adjustments in Kentucky, a day apart, are not an accident, but an indication of the speed at which the stretch zone is starting to adjust. Rail lines are frequently an early harbinger of such adjustments, as they run long distances, whereas structures within cities, such as tall buildings, take up relatively little space and have a small footprint. Our warning that imploding cities will be experienced, before the hour of the shift, are in this regard. Be warmed, it will not just be your rail lines and gas and water mains that will shatter and be pulled apart during the stretch. The foundations of your tall buildings will likewise be vulnerable.EOZT

(CNN) -- A gas main explosion in Philadelphia Tuesday evening killed one utilities worker and injured five other people, a fire department official said.

Philadelphia Gas Works employees were responding to a gas main break in the city's Tacony neighborhood when the explosion occurred, fire department spokesman Jim Smith said.

"They were trying to control it and found a source of ignition," according to Smith, who said four PGW employees and a firefighter were among the injured. He said some of the gas workers' injuries were serious.

Massive explosion lights up the skies over Refugio

REFUGIO COUNTY, TX (KTRK) --

Officials tell ABC13 that the blast in Refugio, about 45 minutes southwest of Houston, has been extinguished and was a result of a natural gas pipeline explosion.

The Office of Emergency Management said crews were doing work on the property owned by the Kinder Morgan plant. Officials say there are no injuries, but the fire could be seen at distances of 30 miles or more.

Dispatchers told ABC13 that every member of the county sheriff's office was at the scene of the blast.

Resident Jake Ramirez posted video to Facebook showing the massive blaze illuminating the clouds above.

"It looks wild, it's pulsating," Ramirez says in his video. "Not really sure what that is...it looks beautiful, but it looks like a [expletive] fire."

Images sent in by a cousin of ABC13 producer John Carreon show the fire at a distance of about 30 miles away, showing the intensity and size of the explosion.

A spokesman said: "The emergency services were contacted at 4.45pm following reports of an explosion, a fire and the collapse of a property.

"Two people have been treated for minor injuries and one was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.

"A small number of people are unaccounted for in this ongoing investigation."

A number of surrounding buildings were evacuated and members of the public were advised to avoid the area.

South Central Ambulance Service said a male was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation and a female has been taken to hospital for treatment for minor injuries.

Emergency services were called to the Osney Lane and Gibbs Crescent area at 4.45pm on Tuesday, Thames Valley Police said.

Thames Valley Police Chief Inspector Marc Tarbit, deputy local police area commander for Oxford, said: "Our officers are currently on the scene working closely with our colleagues from the other emergency services.

"We are continuing to ask members of the public to please avoid the area to allow the emergency services to work at the scene.

"I also appreciate incidents of this nature cause disruption to the community so I would like to thank people locally for their patience and understanding while we are working to respond to the incident."

Gas pipeline blast kills six in Bahawalnagar

Sohail Khan/Atif Khakwani-BAHAWALNAGAR-Six persons including a woman along with her two daughters and a son were killed and 11 others sustained injuries after Sui gas pipeline exploded with a bag due to leakage here on Tuesday.
The police said that the explosion occurred in a house situated on Circular Road here in Bahawalnagar city.
The two-storey house razed to ground to the blast while the two adjacent houses damaged severely, the police and rescuers said.
According to police and Rescue 1122, a gas pipeline exploded due to leakage on ground floor of a house owned by Wazir Ahmed, a court clerk. As a result, six persons including his wife Muneerah Bibi, 20, her five-year-old daughter Benish, son 12-year-old Zaheer Ahmed, another daughter Goshi, 4; Attia, daughter of Abdul Ghaffar and Bashir Ahmed died while eleven others sustained injuries. The explosion was so loud that the adjacent buildings were also affected adversely. The rescue teams rushed to the spot and started rescue work. Rescue 1122, Army officials and volunteers of Falah-e-Insaniate Foundation pulled out the injured and dead bodies and shifted to District Headquarters Hospital Bahawalnagar. Later, four the injured persons were referred to Bahawalpur and Lahore due to critical condition. The hospital sources fear the death toll could rise. The police said that real cause of the incident is yet to be ascertained.
The rescue said the incident occurred due gas leakage in the ground floor of a two-storey residential building which was razed to the ground while the two adjacent buildings also damage severely. The blast took place around 2:20pm.
DC Azhar Hayat, DPO Liaqat Ali Malik, ADC Rana Amjad, DO Civil Defence Mirza Siddique and staff of other agencies also rushed to the scene immediately after the blast. The rescue crane, excavator and tractors reached the scene a little late, which angered the residents.
Sensing urgency of the situation, DC Azhar Hayat called in Pakistan army personnel who rushed to the spot in no time. The army personnel along with Rescue 1122 rescuers and volunteers completed the operation.

8 Dead, 3 Missing After Central China Coal Mine Blast

BEIJING — A coal mine explosion Tuesday in central China has left eight people dead and three injured, state media reported.

The blast occurred at about 1:30 a.m. at the Zoubao mine in Hunan province. Eighteen people escaped, only one of them injured, according to the official Xinhua News Agency and a Tuesday statement from China's national safety regulator, the State Administration of Work Safety.

The administration did not immediately identify the cause of the blast, but said the site was considered a "high gas mine." Gas explosions inside mines are often caused when a flame or electrical spark ignites gas leaking from the coal seam. Ventilation systems are supposed to prevent gas from becoming trapped.

China is the world's largest producer and consumer of coal. Its mining industry has long been one of the world's deadliest, with hundreds of deaths annually. The work safety administration has acknowledged that

struggling coal mines might be likely to overlook basic maintenance.

Authorities have announced shutdowns of outdated mines and cuts in the number of work days to improve safety conditions and reduce the smog smothering many Chinese cities. However, the measures also threaten to increase energy prices in the midst of an ongoing economic slowdown, taxing the willingness of authorities to enforce them strictly.

PARADIS, LA. 

One worker was missing and two were injured after an explosion sparked a fire at a Louisiana pipeline Thursday night, officials said.

Authorities don't yet know what caused the fire on the Phillips 66 pipeline in Paradis, but a crew of six workers was cleaning it at the time, St. Charles Parish Sheriff Greg Champagne said at a news conference.

Two of the workers were hospitalized — one taken to a burn center— and three had minor or no injuries, the sheriff said. The remaining worker was unaccounted for, and a helicopter was being brought in to help search for him.

Champagne said the source of the 20-inch pipeline had been shut off but the fire would have to burn off the rest of the liquid inside, which could take hours or even days.

"They tell us the best thing that can happen right now is for the product to burn off," he said.

The pipeline was carrying a highly volatile byproduct of natural gas, which was burning cleanly and very hotly over a 30- to 40-foot area, the sheriff said.

"It's just a big blow torch," he said.

Sixty homes were evacuated and highways were being diverted around the area in Paradis, which is about 30 miles west of New Orleans.

Gas Explosion Kills 5 Workers, Injures 9 in Southern Iran

Iran's official news agency is reporting that a gas explosion at an agricultural research site in southern Iran has left five workers dead and nine injured.

The Thursday report by IRNA said an electrical short circuit in an underground site led to the explosion a day earlier.

The incident happened near the port city of Bandar Abbas, some 1,200 kilometers (745 miles) south of the capital, Tehran.

The report did not elaborate, but the disregarding of safety measures is the main cause of such incidents in Iran.

In January, 26 people including 16 firefighters were killed in a deadly building collapse following a fire in downtown Tehran. Officials blamed that, too, on an electrical short circuit.

2 dead in Medina apartment explosion

MEDINA, Ohio -- Two people are dead, and several others hurt, after an early morning apartment explosion and fire in Medina.

It happened around 3:18 a.m. Thursday at the Medina Village Apartments on Springbrook Drive.

An 18-year-old man who was bedridden with autism died, authorities say, when a wall came down on him.

His parents couldn't get him out of the building, and sustained burns to 80 percent of their bodies. Both were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, but the fire chief tells our news partners at WTAM that the mother has since died from her injuries.

"The building was physically blown apart," Medina Fire Chief Bob Painter said.

Five other residents were treated for minor injuries.

Approximately 20 residents were evacuated to a gym.

“I heard like a big bang," neighbor Austin Jurgens said. "It sounded like maybe even a refrigerator fell over in an apartment above me. It was that loud."

Another witness told WKYC she could hear the panic following the explosion.

Investigators are at the scene working to determine the cause.

Huge Chemical Planet Explosion in Central China (Feb 8)

Villagers rushed out to film the huge mushroom cloud in Jiaocheng County, Lvliang City, central China’s Shanxi Province.

Two people sustained minor injuries, but the cause of the accident has not been revealed, according to local media.

The massive blast rocked Tongling in central Anhui province today, creating an enormous fireball and injuring at least two people.

The blast sent strong shock waves through the area, with smaller explosions following.

Local residents are said to have screamed in terror at the sight and sound of the accident.

Video clips suggest the explosion lasted for several seconds.

Villagers rushed out to film the huge mushroom cloud in Jiaocheng County, Lvliang City, central China’s Shanxi Province.

The cause of the accident has not been revealed.

The explosion occurred in the vicinity of Tongling Hengxing Chemicals.

A 'huge explosion' has been reported on the Paris metro leading to dozens of passengers being evacuated from a station.

The incident, on Line 6 in or near to the the Place d'Italie subway stop, appears to have been caused by an electrical fire, but has raised fresh terror fears as France remains on high alert.

As many as eight passengers are believed to have been injured in the explosion, either in the apparent blast or from smoke inhalation.

It is unclear at this time what caused the incident, but security personnel are believed have sealed off the area.

Dozens of armed police are at the scene around the Place d'Italie as the situation is investigated.

Early reports suggest the explosion was caused by an electrical fire and that eight people have been injured.

France remains on a high state of alert after last Friday's suspect terror attack at the Louvre in Paris in which soldiers shot an Egyptian man wielding a machete.

Abdullah Reda al-Hamamy was shot several times after he allegedly attacked soldiers outside the museum - home to the Mona Lisa and other famous works of art - with a machete and cried "Allahu Akbar"

The soldiers can been seen in footage of the incident standing anxiously above him pointing their guns following the attack.

The victim is now being treated for serious injuries in hospital after soldiers fired five shots during the suspected terror attack.

Soldiers patrolling as part of France’s on-going State of Emergency stopped the attacker getting into the building.

The country has suffered a number of horrifying terror attacks over the past two years, including the Charlie Hebdo murders in Paris and the Nice lorry massacre.

President Francois Hollande had declared a state of emergency in France and war on terrorism after the attacks shook the country to its core.

The country has been living in fear of a fresh attack by jihadis, but tonight's explosion is not currently thought to be terror-related

Bergen Police on Wednesday were investigating the cause of an explosion at the Ytre Arna asylum centre the previous evening.

No one was injured in the relatively powerful explosion that took place in a living room in the reception centre. The explosion caused serious structural damage, however - including blowing out multiple windows and damaging walls. 

 

Two foreign men were arrested and charged in the case and were expected to be questioned by police on Wednesday.

 

“They are indicted in the case based on the circumstances of the events and because they were located in the room where the explosion took place,” Western Police District spokesman Frode Kolltveit said on Tuesday evening. 

 

Exactly what caused the explosion, which occurred just after 5.30pm on Tuesday, was not known as of midday on Wednesday. 

“People from [the police] bomb squad and crime scene technicians were there last night. They found no traces of explosives, so there will be further investigations throughout the day [on Wednesday] to determine the cause of the explosion,” police spokesman Arve Samsonsen told NTB.

Police told NTB that investigators believe the explosion probably occurred in or around a stove. But what the stove had been used for is not known, nor do police know for sure who was involved. It was also not immediately known if the explosion was caused by chemicals or something electronic. 

 

Between 15 and 20 people live at the asylum centre and they were evacuated from the site.
