We'll be seeing an uptick in unusual home and business gas explosions and I'm trying to locate specific ZT on the matter.  Below is a refresher for the many gas related news articles.

Fault lines, when adjusting, do not just rip apart one day during a dramatic earthquake. They most often creep. Laying gas lines along or across a fault line is asking for an accident of this sort. Fault lines are also seldom so clearly delineated that one can go a mile in this or that direction and avoid their action. Where a slip-slide fault such as the San Andreas will often leave a clear line on the surface, this is only the surface action, not what occurs in the rock layers on either side which can fracture for a long way to either side during any movement. The gas company, or the age of the pipes, will be faulted but in truth the finger should be pointed in many directions. The public, who insist on living at such a scenic spot, is to blame. Officials, who zoned for housing are to blame. The public utility company, for allowing gas lines in the area, is to blame. But this will change nothing, while man continues to live on the San Andreas, even as it awakens. EOZT

The danger from radon gas will not be increased as a result of the pole shift. Radon gas is emitted by rock containing uranium, which is degrading. In normal circumstances, where air can circulate, it is disbursed rapidly as is any methane created by decay of organic material. The danger from these gasses comes from confinement - being trapped in a mine, a basement, or beneath the permafrost. The dangers are well known. For methane, it is explosions. An accumulation of methane gas can be identified by the smell of rotten eggs, or as some have described it, dirty socks or cabbage soup. For radon gas the danger is lung cancer, from the continual exposure to the radioactive air. Radon gas is odorless, and cannot be detected except by specialized equipment not in the hands of the average person.

In that the pole shift, or the Earth changes preceding the pole shift, can fracture rock and release pockets of either gas, survivors should be cautious about huddling in bunkers. You are safer out in the open air, or in a trench you have dug that will allow the pole shift winds to pass over you, but nothing to fall on and crush you. The fact that both methane gas and radon gas can accumulate in the bunkers of the elite is one of the reasons we have stated that they have dug their own graves. EOZT

Anyone watching the news, for instance the news on the San Bruno explosion in a distribution line close to the San Andreas Fault line, knows that gas in any form is a danger. Oil and gas refineries explode when rigid piping cracks. Oil or gas wells explode when the ground around them moves. And the gas distribution lines running under cities are no exception. They likewise will explode. Gas lines, whether along the street or within a home, are rigid. In some cases automatic shutoff valves can limit the amount of gas available for an explosion by sensing a drop in pressure, but this is always after the fact. The explosion has already occurred. Utilizing gas on a planet prone to earthquakes was a mistake to begin with, but man never thinks of the consequences when striving for modern conveniences. We have advised turning off the gas at the street, though when the street explodes and your neighbor's homes are on fire you are not likely to escape the holocaust. A better alternative is to live in an area where gas is not available, as in your rural safe location where you will be doing a form of camping while gardening. A campfire at night, for cooking and washing and a bit of friendly light before bed. Nothing explosive. EOZT

SOZT Answer: It is no accident that the New Madrid fault lies under the Mississippi River near Memphis, as rivers form in lowlands created when land pulls apart, separating the rock fingers and weakening support for the land. Thus, the Ohio River bed also is an indication of where rock fingers will pull apart. Two adjustments in Kentucky, a day apart, are not an accident, but an indication of the speed at which the stretch zone is starting to adjust. Rail lines are frequently an early harbinger of such adjustments, as they run long distances, whereas structures within cities, such as tall buildings, take up relatively little space and have a small footprint. Our warning that imploding cities will be experienced, before the hour of the shift, are in this regard. Be warmed, it will not just be your rail lines and gas and water mains that will shatter and be pulled apart during the stretch. The foundations of your tall buildings will likewise be vulnerable.EOZT

1 dead, 3 injured in Jerusalem parking garage collapse

Victim found dead beneath rubble after parking garage collapsed following gas explosion. Three others injured.

20/02/18 15:54 | updated: 18:17

One person was killed and three more injured in a gas explosion in the Baka neighborhood of Jerusalem Tuesday, after parking garage collapsed as a result of the explosion, police said.

Ten fire and rescue teams were deployed to the scene of the explosion, and are currently searching for survivors who may be trapped under the rubble.

A police spokesperson reported Tuesday afternoon that one person had been found dead at the scene following the collapse.

“In Jerusalem's Baka neighborhood, at the scene where the explosion took place earlier at the underground car park, search and rescue units found one person under the rubble who was pronounced dead at the scene,” the spokesperson said. “Units are continuing to search the area.”

Authorities say the victim was a worker in his 40s.

Three other people were also found underneath the rubble, including a 62-year-old woman, a woman in her 70s and a man in his 70s. The three suffered light injuries.

A man and woman in their 60s whose apartment is in the building where the explosion occurred were treated by MDA medics and evacuated to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, fully conscious and without signs of external injury.

Senior MDA paramedic Rivka Or and MDA paramedic Betzalel Ben-Hemo said, "When we arrived at the scene, we saw large-scale destruction in one of the apartments and part of the ceiling of the underground parking lot that collapsed. A man and woman in their 60s who were present during the explosion were extricated from the scene.

"They were fully conscious without external injuries, we conducted an initial check in the area and evacuated them for further examination and treatment at the hospital in order to rule out the possibility of injuries from the blast. Searches are being carried out at the scene in order to confirm that there are no trapped persons in the parking lot. "

XTO Energy Well Pad Explosion Near Powhatan Point Prompts Evacuation

Feb 16, 2018

Emergency vehicles are parked along Ohio 148 in Powhatan Point Thursday while responding to a blast at XTO Energy’s Schnegg well pad near Captina Creek

POWHATAN POINT — Residents near Captina Creek were evacuated Thursday after an explosion at the XTO Energy Schnegg pad near Captina Creek.

XTO spokeswoman Karen Matusic said the company would provide hotel rooms for about 100 residents who evacuated the area within the 1-mile radius of the fire, which occurred around 9 a.m. Thursday as the company worked to frack a fourth well on the Schnegg pad.

“We had a loss of control, which led to a combination of gas and brine coming out of the well,” Matusic said. “No one was hurt.”

Matusic said anyone who lives within a mile of the pad in need of shelter or other assistance should call 1-855-351-6573.

“All the folks who have evacuated will have hotel rooms in St. Clairsville or Moundsville if they need them,” she added.

Steve Irwin, Ohio Department of Natural Resources spokesman, said the combination of methane and brine flowing out of the well in an uncontrolled manner created the flames.

Methane is the most common component of Marcellus and Utica shale gas streams, while most commercially marketed “natural gas” is methane. Brine can be a mixture of salt, water and other materials.

As of late Thursday, contractors worked to keep pollution from flowing into Captina Creek, as well as Cats Run.

“We are assessing that,” Irwin said of whether any pollution reached either stream. “We are putting booms into the creek to prevent anything that may be in there from spreading.”

“We’re doing everything we can to keep it out of the creek,” Matusic said.

When asked if they would classify the incident as an explosion, Matusic and Irwin settled on the description, “well control incident.”

Matusic emphasized no one was injured, while she said Wild Well Control contractors would report to the scene to extinguish the fire.

Though preliminary reports indicated a mudslide contributed to the problem at the well, Matusic said she could not confirm this, while Irwin said it was too early to tell.

According to ODNR, XTO produced natural gas from at least 40 separate wells in Belmont County last year. Most of the company’s operations are in the southeastern quadrant of the county near areas such as Powhatan Point, Shadyside and Bellaire.

“Thank goodness we’ve had a good record here. However, one incident is one too many for us. Safety is a top priority for XTO,” Matusic said.

Lou Gray, a resident of Town Run Road outside Powhatan Point, lives just inside the 1-mile radius of the evacuation area. He walked into the Powhatan Church of Nazarene Fellowship Hall Thursday afternoon after his daughter told him officials were evacuating the area.

“The only thing I heard was the blow off of the gas,” Gray about the well pad.

Gray said he was initially directed to go to the Powhatan Point Municipal Building and officials at that location advised him to go to the Church of Nazarene along Ohio 7. Gray said he was stopping at the fellowship hall temporarily until he could get back out to where other family members live so he could take care of family pets

Evacuations underway after Powhatan gas well catches fire

From a News Report by D.K. Wright, WTRF News 7, February 15, 2018

UPDATE: XTO Energy will be bringing in a well control team from Texas after a “loss of containment” resulting in a gas well fire Thursday morning in Powhatan, OH.

Officials reportedly went door to door to residents and businesses within a two-mile radius suggesting that they evacuate. Evacuations are voluntary at this time, not mandatory. They are using an abundance of caution during this time.

According to Karen Matusic, XTO Public Relations, said that they hate that this happened to the community, but they are appreciative of the community being so welcoming.

Officials are in the process of setting up a claims line for everyone affected. 7News will keep you updated once that number is released. Officials are also setting up hotel rooms for those that need them.

Matusic said that there was no estimated time for residents to be allowed back at their homes.

XTO Energy is working with local county and state law enforcement to secure the roads. At this time, State Route 148 in Powhatan is closed.

ODNR has released a statement about the incident:

“ODNR was notified at 9:38 a.m. of a potential incident on a XTO Energy well pad outside of Powhatan Point in Belmont County. ODNR, OhioEPA, and local authorities are all on scene working to mitigate the situation. The well is currently on fire and the local authorities have evacuated a one-mile radius.”

“A well control company will be onsite soon and will work to get the well under control. At this time, no injuries have been reported and we’ll continue to monitor the situation from onsite.”

State Representative Jack Cera is on the scene, because he wants to make sure all of the people living in the area are being taken care of properly.

Puerto Rico hit with partial blackout after power plant explosion

An explosion at a main power plant in Puerto Rico triggered a blackout across part of the island on Sunday, as officials said several municipalities were without power.

It was not immediately known what caused the explosion, which set off a fire, but areas of the U.S. territory — including parts of the capital city, San Juan — were without power.

“We are trying to restore that as quickly as possible,” the company told The Associated Press.

San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz tweeted updates on the outage, reassuring the island that no injuries have been reported.

Around 9 p.m., Cruz stated that areas of San Juan — such as Placita and Santurce — have been getting their power turned back on. Just before 10 p.m., the mayor tweeted: “It appears fire has almost totally been extinguished and the cooling phase is beginning. No injured reported.”

More than 400,000 power customers have remained in the dark more than five months after Hurricane Maria slammed Puerto Rico.

The Category 4 storm destroyed two-thirds of the island's power distribution system and triggered up to an estimated $94 billion in damage.

Puerto Rico Gov. Ricardo Rosselló recently announced that he planned to privatize the state-owned power company, which is $9 billion in debt and relying on infrastructure nearly three times older than the industry average. It would be the largest restructuring of a public entity in U.S. history.

5 injured in explosion at Mississauga commercial business

Posted Feb 11, 2018 8:22 am EST

Last Updated Feb 11, 2018 at 9:20 pm EST

Investigators are expected to get their first up-close look Monday at what they describe as a “massive explosion” that sent three people to hospital and partially leveled a building in Mississauga on Sunday morning.

Emergency crews were called to a commercial business in the Hurontario and Dundas streets area at around 7:30 a.m. near TL Kennedy Secondary School.

Heavy smoke was seen billowing out of the building and firefighters worked for most of the day to contain a massive blaze caused by the blast.

A 39-year old man suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and is now in stable condition. A 43-year-old woman and a six-year-old boy were also taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Peel police say a 50-year-old man and a young child were also treated at the scene and released

Mississauga Fire Chief Tim Beckett says the building partially collapsed and neighbouring units sustained considerable damage. Between 50 to 70 people from the area were forced to leave their homes and officials say it’s uncertain at this time when they will be allowed to return.

“We thought it was an earthquake because the whole building was shaking even though it was across the street,” said Debbie Cortez. “I honestly thought a car ran into the building or something. Then we heard the sirens, we came out and we saw all this commotion. It was like a movie. We never expected to see anything like that.”

Late Sunday afternoon, a Heavy Urban Search and Rescue (HUSAR) team arrived on the scene of the blast to assist Mississauga Fire in a search of the collapsed building.

“The HUSAR team is a specialized team that deals with collapsed buildings and things like that,” explained Beckett. “They brought a recon team to assess the scene with our group, more from a due diligence. It’s not that we anticipate there’s people in there but we just want to make sure we’ve taken all the precautionary steps possible.”

The plaza is located near TL Kennedy Secondary School but it’s unclear if the school was damaged in the blast. The Peel District School Board says the school will be closed to all staff and students on Monday as a precaution.

Officials say it’s too early to say what caused the blast. The Office of the Fire Marshal has been called in to investigate although they likely won’t gain access to the building until Monday.

Hurontario Street is closed in both directions from Dundas Street to Hillcrest Avenue. There is no word on when it will reopen at this time.
