Altering Earthquakes:

ZetaTalk Aug 7, 2010

As of late, I have observed that USGS and EMSC are a bit lax on their reports of earthquakes. Sometimes not seeing anything reported for hours from the last update, or seeing periods of 90-200 minutes with no earthquakes in between. My question is, are they leaving swarms of earthquakes out of their reports, or there are actually periods of no earthquakes?

SOZT:   Greater than 90% of the earthquake activity is being altered by the USGS at present, which is under orders to prevent any clue being given to the public about the Earth changes caused by the presence of Planet X. Over a decade ago, the approach was to de-sensitize the live seismographs periodically, so the displays do not turn black worldwide, and to ignore the twice-a-day patterns showing up on these seismographs. Then any quakes that could be dropped were dropped. This was obvious to some who were watching the database manipulation. Quakes in the list would suddenly disappear. This was particularly the case where a quake happened in a remote location, or out in the ocean. Dumbing down the magnitude quickly followed, but in order to ensure the public did not notice, the USGS took control of all websites reporting quake statistics. At times, this control breaks, and discrepancies are reported to the public. Some countries rebel. Quake swarms are another source of control, as they pepper the databases with many quakes and skew the statistics, and thus are pulled from the database. Else the question is raised, why so many?   EOZT

Will the USGS internet system be a reliable warning system for the European tsunami by registering on the net the New Madrid earthquake on the exact time it occurs?

SOZT:   It will not be a lack of information from the USGS that will be the point of confusion during the earthquakes leading up to the New Madrid adjustment, it will be knowing which quake is the big one vs the many minor quakes preceding it. The USGS downgrades almost all earthquakes, to prevent meaningful statistics from being generated from their databases. They also exclude quakes whenever they can, but this is unlikely to happen in the New Madrid area as it is in the center of a populated land mass. Thus you will have magnitude 6 quakes that will be called a 5.2, magnitude 7 quakes called a 6.1, and when a magnitude 8 or greater quake occurs, it will be called a 6.9.

We would advise that rather than watching the USGS quake statistics, that you watch the Earth changes. The adjustment that will incite the European tsunami will involve bridges on the Mississippi breaking, and being impassable. The land to the west of the Mississippi will drop so that the Mississippi will become 50 miles wide in the state of Mississippi. Watch for this. The New Madrid adjustment will be several large quakes of magnitude 8-9, though will be listed as a lesser magnitude. As the N American continent continues to unzip up to and along the Seaway, the quakes will be less than a magnitude 8 but very destructive to Cleveland and Toledo and Buffalo and the inland locks along the Seaway. Thus it is not what the USGS says that should be watched, but the condition of the bridges on the Mississippi, the impact on the cities along the Seaway, and whether the inland locks are reported as inoperable.   EOZT

Please collect earthquake-reports here. Significant Quakes or Magnitude 7+ can be posted separately.

This was a MASSIVE earthquake, not a 6.9, but a M9++ that was felt around the World!

Watch the waves from the M6.9 + 2 = ~M9 Lombok, Indonesia earthquake roll across the USArray seismic network

This animation was created using real seismic data and illustrates how seismic waves travel away from an earthquake by showing how the ground moved at each USArray seismometer location (every dot is a seismic station in the USArray; www.usarray.org). The color of each symbol depicts the size of the up and down ground motion, as detected by the station’s seismometer. Blue indicates downward ground motion while red represents upward ground motion. These waves are too small to be felt but can be detected by these sensitive instruments.

The devastated Indonesian island of Lombok was hit by a new shallow earthquake on Thursday, when a 6-magnitude tremor reportedly caused buildings to collapse and people to flee in panic.

The quake damaged houses and sent people running into the streets, a spokesperson for Indonesia’s Disaster Mitigation Agency wrote on Twitter.

The 5.9-magnitude quake centered 23km away from the city of Mataram, the capital of the West Nusa Tenggara province, the US Geological Survey reported. It struck at a depth of 10km (6 miles). The local authorities reported it to be a 6.2-magnitude quake.

This is the second earthquake to ravage Lombok over the course of several days. The island was hit by tremors on Sunday, killing up to 347 people, according to the latest report citing emergency officials.

Over The Last 7 Days Our Planet Has Been Violently Shaken By 144 Major Earthquakes

    https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-08-22/over-last-7-days-our-plan...

Within the past few days, we have seen an enormous magnitude 7.3 earthquake hit Venezuela and a giant magnitude 8.2 earthquake hit Fiji.  Where will the next one strike?

To many of us, it is becoming exceedingly clear that something very unusual is happening to our planet.  I went and looked it up, and I was astounded to learn that the crust of the Earth has been shaken by 144 major earthquakes over the last 7 days, and that includes more than 50 on Sunday alone

And remember, these are not small earthquakes.  The USGS considers any earthquake that is at least magnitude 4.5 to be “significant”, and they are happening so rapidly right now that it is difficult to keep up with them.

Naples earthquake, two very superficial seismic shocks this morning on Mount Vesuvius and the Phlegraean Fields: fear in Pozzuoli

Two earthquake shocks affected the metropolitan area of Naples this morning: the first, at 08:36 , occurred on the Vesuvius and was of magnitude 1.6 to just 2.8km deep with epicenter right in the crater of the volcano, all ' inside the National Park. After a few minutes, at 08:59 , another shock of magnitude 1.7 at 2.9km depth has affected the Phlegrean area with epicenter in Pozzuoli
in the area of Solfatara, just among the houses where citizens have clearly felt the seismic movement .

Both shocks, in fact, have been very superficial of volcanic nature. Much tension was registered among the residents of the Solfatara district with people on the street and parents who went immediately to pick up their children from the schools.

    https://m.emsc.eu/Earthquake/earthquake.php?id=716752

At least 11 dead and more than 100 injured in Haiti by an earthquake of 5.9 degrees

    http://www.elmundo.es/internacional/2018/10/07/5bb99486e5fdeaab0e8b...

The epicenter of the earthquake was recorded 20 kilometers north of Port-de-Paix and 175 kilometers from Port-au-Prince , at a depth of 15.3 kilometers,

According to a communiqué of Civil Protection, wounded have been registered in Port-de-Paix, Gros-Morne, Chansolme and Tortuga Island, where there are houses destroyed or damaged. In Plaisance, in the department of the North, the church of Saint-Michel has also been damaged.

The earthquake was felt in the Haitian capital, in other cities in the south of the country and in several points of the Dominican Republic, where it provoked panic among the inhabitants.

On January 12, 2010, Haiti suffered a devastating earthquake of magnitude 7 on the Richter scale, followed by three aftershocks of magnitude 5, which caused more than 300,000 deaths, a similar number of injured, some 1.5 million victims and the almost total destruction of its capital, Port-au-Prince.

Earthquake, the South continues to "dance": it shook on Etna while the seismic swarm of Palmi continues, Calabria and Sicily in apprehension - ITALY

    http://www.meteoweb.eu/foto/terremoto-catania-etna/id/1160834/#ytUq...

Catania earthquake, experts to work on Etna to understand the nature of the shock. Recalculated magnitude and hypocenter [DATA]

The earthquake that shook Sicily at 2:34 tonight was of 4.6 magnitude and occurred at 5.5km depth:

Other six shocks have affected the area

The INGV technicians of Catania - Osservatorio Etneo, are working to understand the nature of the earthquake: they are carrying out inspections in the countryside to observe any deformations on the surface, such as fractures or other events that can usually be caused by earthquakes of this entity. The technicians are also measuring sources, gases and water that are constantly monitored to detect any changes

The focal mechanism indicates how it was an earthquake of the transcurrent type, so it would seem a tectonic shock. But all the dynamics around Etna " is quite dominated by the deep magma, so that there is a connection with the activity of the volcano is quite probable
