Now that the rock hook under Turkey (#2) has fractured, the focus will be on Africa dropping and sliding into the S Atlantic (#3). This can be seen today on December 16 with Metane SO2 release where Central Africa is being bent where the foot of Africa is pulled toward the S Atlantic void and S Africa is complaining about the pressure too. There is a line through the Mediterranean at the border between the Africa Plate and the Eurasia Plate, and Egypt is being crushed against the Red Sea. 

As Africa rolls and drop in this manner, the SE Portion is tugged to the East (#4). This too has followed immediately after the rock hook fracuted (#2). Of note is the deep red SO2 signature under the water just off the East Coast. This fan has been seen before but not to this extent. The Seaway is also getting more quakes as the SE Portion is pulling away from the Mainland there. 

Process on #3 and #4 is obvious, day to day. Note that #3 show the area to stay with the Eurasian Plate (Turkey Hook and Sinai) has turned red with SO2. Note that the Red Sea and the region under Egypt and on the Saudi Plate have likewise increased their red with SO2. 

Looking to the East Coast, the SE Portion region under the water between the East Coast and the Atlantic Rift has ballooned with red SO2 indicating distress in the rock being pulled apart. #4 in process. 

Just a day later on December 18, the dropping NE corner of the Africa Plate is continuing to rip away from its former location and scraping down along the Red Sea. #3 in the Sequence is also showing in the foot of Africa where it is being forced to bend during the slip into the void in the S Atlantic. Quakes continue to emerge top to bottom on the Atlantic. The SE Portion is clinging to the Africa Plate, causing the tugging of #4 which now reaches all the way to the middle of the Atlantic. But all this stress has not yet started quakes within the rock Bridge #5 above the little town of New Madrid. All eyes are there, and watching the Azores where tearing has begun. 

We had a 5.0 quake here in iskenderun, Turkey at about 1813 GMT and downgraded now to 4.7, quite a roller-coaster ride.

On December 19 the stress on the dropping Africa Plate can be seen, with SO2 now stretching from the NE corner of the plate down through Egypt-Libya-Tunesia and touching the Congo now. The foot of Africa is also showing the stress of bending toward the S Atlantic, with quakes there inland from Madagascar. If this much progress can be done in a day, what will tomorrow bring?

Three people were killed and more than a dozen others injured when a monster “freak wave” struck a packed beach in South Africa’s coastal city of Durban Sunday. The EThekwini Municipality said that those who died were swept out to sea by rip currents and drowned. At least 17 people were taken to area hospitals to be treated for injuries sustained during the incident. The patients were said to be in serious or critical condition.

On December 20-21 big quakes shook up Northern California where the Juan de Fuca Plate touches the N American Plate. As the Mainland has been dropping and pushing west as the bow that had been imposed on the N American Continent straightens out, this was bound to happen. And in fact was PREDICTED by the Zetas in 2010.

We have warned that quakes on the West Coast, or the Seaway, or in the New Madrid region will occur before the major quake in the New Madrid region we have referred to as the adjustment on a 7 of 10 level. On December 22 the fact that the Mainland Portion of N America is heaving to the West and Down is apparent in the worldwide Heliplots. Of all the plots in the world, almost exclusively those in a state of jitter are in the N American Continent in the Mainland Portion. If the Mainland Portion if tearing away from the SE Portion, glued to the African Plate as it pulls East, how much longer can this tugging and tearing last? This is the New Madrid Finale, in process. 

On December 23 the Wabash Seismic Zone was distinct with SO2 emissions, indicating stressed and ripping rock. The Zetas stated that this region should be watched for the JOLT in the Rock Bridge that must snap to activate the Finale. After the JOLT the Azores will immediately rupture and a tsunami roll toward Europe. Reports from Blackpool, England are that the ground is 'trembling' underfoot, and reports from Tel Aviv, Israel are that the thrumming humm is louder than ever. 

ZetaTalk Prediction 3/31/2022: The pending and in process 2022 rupture of the New Madrid Fault Line will thus follow the Ohio River from the Juncture, on up through the Wabash zone. It is this spot that should be watched for the jolt that will expedite the final rupture.

December 24 showed more staging, with the foot of Africa bending into the void of the S Atlantic, and complaining about the reach with SO2 emissions and quakes all around. The Mainland is dropping heavily on the Cocos Plate, where the border has been covered in deep quakes for over a year. It is the JOLT at the rock Bridge over the little town of New Madrid that will release all this tension, and the region near the Wabash Seismic Zone is starting to be restless. This showed up in Mississippi where their water treatment plant again had problems from the spreading mouth of the Mississippi River, which lacked support due to the spreading apart of the Portions.

Some neighborhoods in Jackson had low water pressure and residents said they had no water pressure on Christmas Eve. As the temperature remained below freezing, production slowed at one of the city's water treatment plants while officials worked to correct the pressure drop they believed was caused by leaks and water line breaks.

On December 25 lo quakes at the Azores appeared, but only the minor quakes that we are likely to see at least for a few days before the big JOLT. This one was on the south side of the Azores Tripple Junction, where a rip during the African Roll would be expected. 

Another sign of the pending New Madrid Rupture is the tug of war between the Caribbean Plate and the SE Portion. The Caribbean is being pulled to the WEST, dragged along with the S America Roll and thee S America Continental Drft. This tears it away from the SE Portion which is attached at the TOP and EAST. Thus the endless quakes we see along the Carribean border. 

On this Christmas Day, in Gaza, there was a minor tsunami. The rock hook under Turkey had snapped, allowing the NE corner of Africa to drop. This tsunami at Gaza shows that the Sinai Peninsula is twisting, as predicted by the Zetas. pulling Israel away from the border in the Dead Sea. Things are on the move!

On Dec 26 the tug-of-war in the Arctic was on full display. The N American Mainland Portion shares a long border with Eurasia, all the way from Japan through the Far East, thence through the Arctic to Greenland, thence down to the Azores for the Triple Junction with the African Plate. The Se Portion, due to rip away from the Mainland of N America when Africa rolls East, wants to hold onto the Mainland Portion. They share the New Madrid Fault Line from the Isthmus up through the Mississippi River and along under the Seaway. Any guess who is going to win during these tug-of-wars? On December 27 the #3 point is aggressively on the move, with a big quake at the end of the Red Sea where the dropping NE corner of the African Plate is scraping past the Saudi Plate, and another quake at the Suez Canal. Will this block traffic again in the Suez? Note that the wabbling Saudi Plate is ripping rock at the top of the Saudi Plate, as can be seen by increased SO2 release. As the minor tsunami on the Gaza Strip showed, the Sinai platelet is already twisting, so the compass pointing North there will be confusing for the residents shortly. Zetas have predicted counterclockwise swing for the Sinai.

Eventually, the Red Sea will open allowing shipping in the Suez Canal. All these matters are in God’s hands.

As the African Plate rolls, and drops its rounded top toward the Indian Ocean, the Red Sea pulls apart, the Afar Triangle in Africa pulls apart, and the boot rolls. As we stated almost 10 years ago, the Arabian Plate will turn as the Africa Roll progresses, forcing the tip of the Arabian boot to churn through the oil fields of Iraq. As we predicted, Turkey will be affected by this process only on its southern border with Iraq. Rupturing rock strata will break pipelines and open oil wells so they spew their contents, setting them afire in a potential holocaust.

On December 29 we find the dropping NE corner of the Africa Plate threatening trafic in the Suez Canal, once again. Quakes continue top and bottom, and traffic appears to be at a standstill. If the Sinai is twisting and the Saudi Plate waggling, this may change daily. But eventually and entirely new Suez Canal may emerge.

On this New Years Day, just 2 weeks past December 13 when the FINALE STARTED with the final fractures of the Rock Hook under Turkey, we see more action on #3 and #4. As explained by the Zetas, the FINALE is not an instant in time, a nano second, it is a process that will take "weeks, not month" to complete. The Zetas are not allowed to give a date for an event, can only describe a sequence of events that will occur, which they have done. 

On 1/1/2023 we see #3 continuing to cause chaos at the Suez Canal. A Tel Aviv resident reports that the Suez is regularl closed at night and in particular in the early hours of the morning - when the Polar Push is creating most earthquakes that affect the African Plate. This Tel Aviv reporter states "The Humm sounded like a thunderstorm tonight, more so towards early morning." The Sinai is twisting now, taking Isreal with it, and causing turmoil in the waters off Lebanon.

Reports from the northern city of Tripoli - Lebanon's second-largest and most impoverished - said Lebanese, Syrian and Palestinian men, women and children were on the boat that left northern Lebanon after midnight.

And #4, the tugging by the SE Portion which is firmly attached to the rolling Africa Plate along their shared border in the middle Atlantic, is very evident after quiescent days. This is the tug of war that counts. A sign of the stuggle is Buoy 44402, reminiscent of Buoy 44403 earlier this year where the Buoy registered a 200 foot wave

The July 24 buoy throb in Station 44403 near the mouth of the Seaway was caused by a combination of factors.. This can be considered a preview of what will happen during the New Madrid tsunami. Buoy 44403 is located along an underwater drop-off, where coastal lands formerly above the waves are now below water due to rising sea levels in the past. Tidal bore can happen underwater as well as above water. If the mid-Atlantic pulls apart, causing a temporary void in the mid-Atlantic, water can rush into this void and rebound in many directions. This is the process we have described for the New Madrid tsunami. Rebounding water rushed toward Buoy 44403 and there encountered underwater land rises, where tidal bore resulted.

Comparison from yesterday to today clearly shows SO2 release from rock cracking, due to the New Madrid Adjustment in process, stretching out toward the sea and Atlantic Rift along the ZetaTalk predicted fault paths.

January 2 is notable for predecessor quakes at the Azores. A passel of them, many. During this time when the PROCESS of the Finale is ongoing, we must keep our numbers straight. Yes these are quakes at the Azores, which is ripping open, but we are NOT at #7. These are predecessor quakes accomanying #3 the Africa Roll and drop and #4,, the tugging of the SE Portion toward the rolling Africa Plate. The distress in the Eurasia and N America Plates is notable, as both want to stay in place and not roll with Africa or the SE Portion. Big tug of war in process.

On January 4 the action in the Atlantic has gotten fierce, top to bottom. The tearing apart in the S Atlantic is being incited by the push of the Antarctica Plate into the S Atlantic, as can be seen by the multiple quakes at the Sandwich Islands. Each time the Atlantic rips open, the bond between the East and West sides is weakened, facilitating the eventual lurch to the East and roll of the Africa Plate. 

A local reporter states that the Suez Canal is being closed earlier each day, yesterday 1/3 it was closed at 20:00 UTC. The Polar Push is what causes the Plate Movements, so there is less to worry about when the Sun is high over the Atlantic, which is when they sneak some containers through the Suez. 

On January 5 we see some action near the Rock Bridge above the little town of New Madrid that must snap before the New Madrid Finale of #5, #6, #7, #8 can proceed to completion. Per the Zetas, once that Rock Bridge JOLT happens it will all unfold quickly. Ohio had a quake along the New Madrid Fault Line above the Bridge in near the Wabash zone. 

Tearing open the Atlantic continues, with the Azores being hammered too. 

And the managers at the Suez Canal, crowded with container ships wanting passage, struggle with the decision on when to close the Canal. Look at the crowd of Container Ships wanting to go either North or South late in the day on January 4, 2023!

Israel Electric Corporation says contractor digging for infrastructure work hit pipe; deluge blocks intersection of Moshe Dayan and Hashalom roads; will take days to repair. Flooding and washed-away soil filled the intersection of Moshe Dayan Road and Hashalom Road.  A contractor working on infrastructure damaged a water pipe that runs from Tel Aviv to the Givatayim suburb. Following an evaluation a decision was made to completely seal off  Hashalom Road from the corner of Yigal Alon in Tel Aviv to the corner of Yitzhak Rabin Road in Givatayim — a distance of around 1 kilometer (0.6 miles) — including all streets crossing the thoroughfare.

Despite media claims that this was a construction accident, water mains are not so casually ruptured. Permits are secured, and if the main is in danger water is shut off until the danger has ended. Thus the middle of the night schedule. We described how Tel Aviv would be affected as the Sinai Peninsula was spun in a counterclockwise manner during the roll of the African Plate. As can be seen from the nervous daily closures of the Suez Canal, this is in process, and the flooding in Tel Aviv is just another example.

When the Sinai subplate moves in a counterclockwise manner, it is slicing through the waters of the Mediterranean as a hand scooping water to drink would do. This forces water up through drainage pipes, onto the streets, and thus the claim that It was a broken water main at first seems reasonable. It will be repeated instances of this type of flooding that will raise questions.

The Suez Canal will close, and as the Africa Plate continues to drop the bottom of the Sinai will be pressed so the Sinai shifts up into the new void in the Mediterranean.The Sinai is considered a platelet – the Sinai Subplate. When the Sinai is pressed eastward at its southern tip, the entire Sinai Subplate will swing counterclockwise into the Mediterranean void.  The Sinai will have a new orientation to lands on either side. Israel also resides on the subplate, so the separation at the Dead Sea Fault Lines will increase, and Israel may also become an island. Eventually, the Red Sea will open allowing shipping in the Suez Canal. All these matters are in God’s hands.

While Tel Aviv is slicing into the waters of the Mediterranean, accompanying the Sinai as it spins counter clockwise away from Egypt and the Suez Canal, the Golan Heights shows that trauma has occurred there - tearing open to turn the rivers rust red. Tel Aviv travels with the Sinai, the Golan Heights remains with the Eurasian Plate.

And meanwhile, on the other side of the Atlantic, the Seaway is being pulled apart by the tug-of-war with the SE Portion, which wants to remain glued to the African Plate. The Fault Line above the JOLT location #5 is showing signs of stress, dark red on the SO2 maps.

Has Africa rolled recently? Comparing the Modis Satellite images from today to those gathered in 2012 and 2017, yes it has! We have been saying and predicting that the NE corner of Africa would drop, and this can clearly be seen by the relative posiiton of the Sinai Peninsula. Egypt, vs a vs Sinai, has dropped. 

And as Africa rolls, the hump holding Morocco temporarily rises slightly as it moves toward the East. This is a result of the Africa Plate twisting while its foot slips into the S Atlantic. The Gibraltar images show that Morocco is temporarily closer to Europe, while also further East. 

The Zetas said to watch the Wabash zone for when the Bridge might be setting up to go, and today we had a warning shaking at Mt Carmel smack dab in the Wabash zone. This is also smack dab on the New Madrid Fault Line too. I have been expecting precursor quakes at the Bridge, and this qualifiies. This is NOT the #5 JOLT.

The New madrid Fault Line runs under the Seaway, and thus when the SE Portion is tugged to go East with the Africa Plate as it rolls, the Seaway is constantly being torn open. This can be seen on quake maps and SO2 maps.

On January 9, 2023 the Suez Canal trapped another container ship, due to the dropping NE corner of the African Plate. This despite closing the Suez earlier and earlier each day, to avoid the Plate Movement caused by the Polar Push of the wobble when the Sun is high over the Pacific.

Satellite tracking data analyzed by The Associated Press earlier showed the Glory in a single-lane stretch of the Suez Canal just south of Port Said on the Mediterranean Sea.

Imagine being a Suez traffic manager! On January 10 we see that the Suez Canal is being evacuated regularly in late afternoon, especially since a ship got stuck in the canal just the day before. The waggling of the Saudi Plate continues, which causes the squeeze. 

Because the Council of Worlds is determined to keep the Earth changes on schedule, they are utilizing a Severe Wobble to ensure the New Madrid Finale completes at this time. Does the Severe Wobble have anything to do with the temperature swings registered yesterday in Europe and Western Russia? + 18 C to - 44 C is a 62 C degree spread! The Federal Aviation Administration has grounded all flights across the United States following a nationwide outage. An issue with the system was first reported on January 10 sparking widespread problems across the US and abroad. Air Traffic Control System Command Center warned passengers to buckle up for a long delays, admitting there is currently no solution to the problem in sight. A message on their website warned passengers: "The NOTAMS outage continues with no current estimated time of restoration. A hotline has been activated."

Some 1,162 flights within, into or out of the US have been delayed today, according to flight tracker FlightAware.com, while 94 have been cancelled.

The NOTAMS system glitch was a deliberate test of a planned takedown of all flights over the US in the event of the anticipated New Madrid Rupture unfolding.  As we have detailed, it will be a JOLT at the Hard Rock Bridge that will initiate the dreaded last steps of the rupture, which include a jump to the East for the SE Portion, a large tear in the Azores, and a tsunami racing for Europe. But prior to these last steps there would be additional unzipping along the Mississippi River and under the Seaway, leaving only the Bridge holding the Mainland and SE Portion together.

On January 11 we had a demonstration of what is likely to occur when a serious New Madrid Rupture starts in the US. The Zetas have been warning that land to the west of the Mississippi River will drop and sink, and this process has been slowly happening. But on January 11 the ground boomed and snapped at Smackdown,, Arkansas, and likely triggered the FAA 'test' that followed.

Smackover residents took to Facebook in search of an explanation of the sound, some also reporting feeling their houses shaking from the force of the sound.

By January 12 we are shown a process whereby the land above the Rock Bridge that must snap and JOLT and the land below this Bridge are jerking at the Bridge. On January 7 we had the Mt Carmel booms and trembles in several counties, in the Wabash zone. On January 11 we had a sudden bridge closing just below that in Poynes, Kentucky. These are precursors for #5, as this type of sawing back and forth will weaken the Bridge.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says a bridge on Poyners Chapel Road in Graves County was found to be structurally unsound and will be closed until further notice. 

Meanwhile, the nervous Suez Canal managers are watching for a safety margin. As can be seen, they remained closed at 5:00 am on January 12 because the SO2 readings showed the Canal not yet free of rock scraping stress. 

By January 13 it is clear the fault lines running parallel to the New Madrid Fault Line are showing distress. The East Coast Fault line runs up along the coast line all the way to New York City. There is another that runs up along the Appalachian Mountains. The Ramapo is a short fault line that runs East and West and ends in new Jersey. And the New Madrid Fault Line ends at the mouth of the Seaway. New York City an its environs is thus the target for a triage of fault lines.

The New York State Department of Transportation inspected the bridge at Fulton Avenue and Third Street and told the city it has six weeks to fix the four steel columns supporting the street. However, city officials say they can’t take the risk of overweight vehicles on the road and will immediately close the bridge and reroute traffic.

By January 14 it is clear that the lower Mississippi River, from the Gulf to the Bridge over New Madrid, is no longer distressed by being pulled apart. The SE Portion and Mainland Portions of N America have pulled apart there. Even the New Madrid Fault Line along the Ohio River is less distressed, after months of being pulled apart. The remaining area of distress is the Seaway exit and the SE Portion itself. This is leaving the Bridge as the sole place holding the Portions together. Like a hook clasp, when that breaks, it all comes apart.

House explodes in Pompton Lakes with 6 firefighters inside: It 'blew the roof right off'

POMPTON LAKES — Six firefighters were inside a Ramapo Avenue home battling a blaze when an explosion occurred that "blew the roof right off" shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday morning, destroying the house and injuring the firefighters.

None of the six firefighters suffered life threatening injuries, though two were transported to Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston to be treated for burns. They were later released. The other four were treated on scene, Pompton Lakes fire official John Keating said.

“We were blessed,” Keating said when asked how nobody died.

The middle-of-the-night fire was called in by a police patrol driving down Riverdale Avenue when officers spotted smoke in the area of Ramapo Road.

Police were able to evacuate the lone resident of the house — a light colored, single-story Cape Cod-style home on the corner of Riverdale and Ramapo — who told officials he didn't know how the fire started.

The house was inundated with smoke when firefighters arrived, Keating said. A team of three firefighters entered the home and proceeded to the basement, where they believed the fire was.

Another team of two went in behind them, along with the assistant chief. A total of six firefighters were in the building, Keating said.

Once fire crews got in, it was less than a minute before the building exploded, Keating said.

“I thought we were going to have six fatalities, I really did,” Pompton Lakes Fire Chief Jason Ekkers said. “They managed to climb out of the basement with compromised stairs. They all helped each other out, they came out one at a time and we were at the back door, just feeding them out.”

Mayor Michael Serra said the explosion “blew the roof right off.”

“This is what our volunteer departments do,” Serra said. “We have a patrolman who caught first sight of the fire, then had our volunteer fire department here within minutes. Unfortunately there was an explosion. These gentlemen are putting their lives on the line as volunteers everyday here in Pompton Lakes."

Keating said they have not yet determined what caused the explosion, though the state Division of Fire Safety was on site Saturday. Public Service Electric & Gas responded to the scene at 3 a.m. and shut the natural gas line off at the curb.

"An investigation is underway so we can't speculate on a cause," said PSE&G spokesperson Rebecca Mazzarella.

The fire was brought under control by 3:30 a.m., with firefighters from Pompton, Riverdale, Pequannock, Wanaque, Bloomingdale responding.

The house cannot be salvaged, officials said. Excavating machines were on site Saturday.

Olivia Alvarez, 17, saw it unfold from her bedroom across the street. She was about to go to sleep when she saw smoke as she looked out her second-floor window.

“I just saw smoke from the backside of the house, I thought it was a car or something. There was only a couple cops here. But a little later, I just saw it all explode" said Alvarez. "It came from the bottom of the house, up. The whole house lifted off the ground, then hit the ground again. The entire house, in one piece.”

Alvarez's mother Tracy said the explosion knocked pictures off the wall in their home. The house burst into flames immediately after the explosion, she said. The family went outside and stood in the front yard in time to see the resident's dog running away and a police officer catch it.

Neighbor Kim Forsyth didn’t hear the boom because she sleeps with earplugs. But her two kids heard it and felt the house shake.

“My daughter was horrified and terrified,” Forsyth said. “She was having a heart attack, screaming. She couldn’t figure out what it was.”

When Forsyth walked out of the house, she saw cop cars down the street and then flames burst from the house. Firefighters were trying to protect the homes of the immediate neighbors.

Officials have not released the name of the resident. Neighbor Sam Terhune said the homeowner is “a friendly guy” who lived with his mother and always comes out to pet Terhune’s dog when they are out walking.

A GoFundMe campaign has been started for the occupant under the title “Home explosion expenses for Tom Garrett.”

"This home belonged to my grandmother who passed away on Dec. 23, 2022,” wrote organizer Amy Azcurra. “My uncle was still living in the home but luckily got out before the explosion.”

The Pompton Lakes Volunteer Fire Department thanked everyone for "thoughts and prayers" on its Facebook Saturday afternoon. Throughout the morning, neighboring fire departments praised and prayed for their Pompton Lakes brethren.

“Last night our brothers and sisters from Pompton Lakes Fire Department were battling a two-alarm house fire. While attempting to douse the flames five of Pompton Lakes bravest were inside,” posted West Milford Co. 2 on its Facebook.

Wayne Fire Company No. 3 asked “that everyone keep Pompton Lakes FD in your thoughts and prayers” above a photo of firemen standing in front of the shell of the house on its Facebook.

Congressman Bill Pascrell, Jr., said his office is monitoring the conditions of the firefighters "closely" and pledged "whatever support we can provide to Pompton Lakes and its fearless first responders.

“The fire in Pompton Lakes overnight was tragic and I am praying for the six brave souls who were injured in the blaze," Pascrell said. "The photos of the damage are a harrowing reminder of the danger our firefighters face every day. Every level of government must support them to the fullest extent."

On January 15 we see that the SE Portion is trying to separate from the Caribbean Plate. As the Zetas explained last March, the Caribbean cannot roll with Africa because it is glued to the S American Plate. The S American Plate continues to pull toward the Pacific, pulling the Caribbean with it. The attachment between the Caribbean and SE Portion is a long border, thus all the quakes along the eastern Caribbean border. This conflict was apparent last March, and is back on this January 15.

There is a Triple Junction where the African Plate and the S American Plate and the rear leg of the elephant that represents the SE Portion of the N American Plate join. As with the Triple Junction at the Azores, such junctures are sensitive to movement in any one of the plates that are touching. Yes Africa wants to pull East into a roll but the large and deep quake that occurred on March 22 was not caused by tugging by the African Roll. If this were the case, such quakes would be occurring all the time.

Nor was that quake caused by the S American Roll, which as we have explained has completed. This too, if it were the cause of the March 22 quake in the Atlantic, would be causing such quakes regularly. Likewise with the Caribbean Plate, which is so attached to the S America Plate that it simply goes along with any position assumed by the S America Plate. The Venezuela heliplot show that Venezuela was jerked, so the action in the region was by default caused by the SE Portion.

We have explained that the SE Portion must be torn from the Mainland Portion of the N America Plate because it cannot move with the Mainland Portion but is stuck by the corner of the SE Portion where the rear leg of the elephant is hooked. It cannot lift out of that slot as the general motion of the N American Plate is to slide toward the SW. It cannot move toward the West as the Caribbean Plate clearly blocks any movement in that direction. Thus the diagonal rupture of the N America Plate must occur.

Is it that mass of the Ozarks that deflects the NM Fault Line Eastward, toward the Seaway? Looking at the Ohio rock strata, Kentucky below Ohio is l ow land. Indiana into the Wabash has hard rock but not as dense and deep as at the Ozarks. Historical quake maps show that the New Madrid quakes center at New Madrid and then to up along the Ohio River. Will the JOLT at the Bridge happen there?

At Cairo, where the Ohio River branches off from the Mississippi River, the New Madrid Fault Line has two choices. As we have explained, rivers run along thin crust, which droops, and thus becomes the lowest elevation for the area. Thus the fault line had run up along the Mississippi River. But at Cairo, the Ohio River became more attractive. The solid and dense rock of the Ozarks lay to the West, along the northward path of the Mississippi River. To the East along the Ohio the deep rock strata was more amenable to being ruptured.

Following the Ohio River, the New Madrid Fault Line encounters the hard rock of the Appalachian Mountains. The Fault Line travels straight up along the edge of the hard rock in eastern Indiana, toward the Seaway, and there turns to travel under the Seaway to its exit in the Atlantic. The rupturing of the fault line thus choices, based on the composition of the deep rock, to jump the Ohio River into the Wabash Seismic Zone and on up to the Seaway. This is where the JOLT can be expected.
