Recently, the Zetas have indicated that the severe wobble which may be caused by the World Council, can already potentially cause flooding in Germany.
Can the Zetas tell us more about what could happen to coastlines during this possible event (possible wave height and etc)? And generally what to expect? Of course Zetas from the beginning said that coastal areas are not safe, but possible explosive rate of wobble make people more unprepared. Will it have an explosive or fast growing rate?
[and from another]
I just read recent ZT regarding the severe wobble and flooding but it only says that parts of Europe might be flooded. What about the East Coast? I live in New York City. Will it also get flooded when the Council of Worlds creates the severe wobble so that Dunford can cancel the elections? How can he cancel the elections if only Europe is afflicted and not the US? Will this severe wobble occur before or after the announcement re Nibiru?
[and from another]
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_Indian_Ocean_earthquake_and_tsunami
Triggered a series of devastating tsunamis along the coasts of most landmasses bordering the Indian Ocean, killing 230,000 people in 14 countries, and inundating coastal communities with waves up to 30 metres (100 ft) high. Scientists investigating the damage in Aceh found evidence that the wave reached a height of 24 metres (80 ft) when coming ashore along large stretches of the coastline, rising to 30 metres (100 ft) in some areas when traveling inland. The very high fatality in the area is mainly due to the unpreparedness of the population from such an event. Helicopter survey showed entire settlements virtually destroyed with destruction miles inland with only some mosques left standing, which provided refuge for the people from the tsunami.
SOZT
We have explained in prior ZetaTalk that wobble sloshing is not as devastating as the Pole Shift sloshing. The primary reason for this is that wobble sloshing REVERSES, self corrects, where Pole Shift sloshing occurs when the crustal shift places the crust in a new position, and there it stays. We have stated that wobble sloshing during a severe wobble will result in high tides 200-300 feet high,
http://www.zetatalk.com/index/zeta586.htm
and that the Pole Shift tides can be expected to be 500-600 feet high.
http://www.zetatalk.com/ning/11ag2012.htm
In both cases, the higher tide is a result of tidal bore, the geology of the coastline, where water is funneled upward as it has nowhere else to go.
There are other differences between a severe wobble and the Pole Shift itself. As Nibiru tightens its grip on the planets caught in the cup,
http://www.zetatalk.com/index/zeta271.htm
Nibiru pulls to the right of the Earth steadily and the Earth and her sister planets (Venus and the Dark Twin) squeeze to the left. The Pole Shift is unleashed when Venus and the Dark Twin escape the cup, allowing Nibiru to draw closer to the Earth, but for a severe wobble these extreme positions are not in place. Nibiru is still not directly to the right of the Earth, nor is it close.
Thus the severe wobble is a COMBINATION of a swing to the left into a lean to the left and back again, and a swing of the N Pole away into extreme darkness for the Northern Hemisphere and then back again. It will not reach the extremes that we have described for the Last Weeks.
http://www.zetatalk.com/index/zeta582.htm
Nevertheless, it will be extreme enough that the entire population of the World will notice that something is amiss, the Sun very much out of place, and the establishment will not be able to sputter excuses fast enough. The people will know that the establishment is lying, and any such lies will doom the establishment to becoming a hollow voice no longer believed on any matter.
If we have advised that during the hour of the Pole Shift, people be 100 miles inland
http://www.zetatalk.com/7steps.htm
and 200 feet above sea level to evade the Pole Shift sloshing. One could assume this to be approximately half that for a severe wobble, thus being 50 miles inland and 100 feet above sea level should suffice. However, local variances will exist, causing tidal bore, causing the tide to roll further inland before stopping, and caution would of course be better than not. We have described the severe wobble as likely to commence SUDDENLY, without warning, so our advice for those likely to be affected is to sleep on the roof, or above ground, or be prepared to move if alarms are sounded.
This will be a flood tide,
http://www.zetatalk.com/poleshft/p124.htm
not violent waves accompanied by high winds and flying debris. One could look to the tsunami in Ache in 2004
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_Indian_Ocean_earthquake_and_tsunami
as an example of a flood tide rolling inland. The elephants knew, and took to the hills, but mankind does not listen well. It should be noted that we described the effect of a severe wobble back in 2011, and 5 years have passed since that time. A severe wobble was always in the cards, for mankind, for the Earth. We also described devastating tides as a result of 7 of 10 plate movements, particularly against Europe.
http://www.zetatalk.com/info/tinfx316.htm
Such devastation occurring prior to the hour of the Pole Shift should be viewed ultimately as saving lives,
http://www.zetatalk.com/7of10/7of10-84.htm
in that mankind will move away from the coastlines.
EOZT
Prior 2011 ZT: http://www.zetatalk.com/index/zeta586.htm
Planet X is approaching mainly from the right, in its retrograde orbit, though also somewhat Sunside on its way outbound from the Sun. The severe wobble will merely be an exaggeration of the existing wobble, where the magnetic N Pole is pushed as its current location in the Arctic near Siberia rolls over the horizon. As the globe is pushed violently northward, the waters in the Pacific will slosh southward, and waters in the Atlantic will slosh in the opposite direction, northward. For the Pacific, the northern coastlines will be pushed under the ocean, and for the Atlantic, the southern coastlines will be pushed under the ocean. Then, 12 hours later, this reverses. The sloshing will be in a N/S direction, back and froth. The severe wobble slosh will be 200-300 feet high.
Prior 2010 ZT: http://www.zetatalk.com/index/zeta582.htm
Visibility is enhanced, and Second Sun sightings are common. It is no longer an issue of the Earth wobble or temporary leans to the left of into opposition sufficing. This is twitching about, compared to the last weeks. If the years and months of the Earth wobble were the wrestlers positioning themselves at the edge of the mat, then the last weeks are full contact, and neither can let go of the other. When Venus and the Dark Twin escape from the cup, the particle crowding is suddenly eased, allowing Planet X to come forward toward the Earth. The Earth's first evasion is to tilt her N Pole away from the oncoming Planet X to such a degree, and so violently, that she leans all the way over to the left and then rebounds as a reaction all the way to the right. This is the severe wobble, for a length of 9 days.
Prior 2001 ZT: http://www.zetatalk.com/poleshft/p124.htm
This is a flood tide, with the lip of the water being its highest point, rising like a silent tide endlessly on the rise, the wave rolling inland without a crashing back and forth, just a steady progressive inundation. To those at the mercy of such a flood tide, their first thought is to climb above the tide. Soon they are standing on the highest point they can reach, and still the water, flowing inland steadily, rises. Afloat on a boat or flotsam, they will be dragged inland with the flow until a reverse slosh begins, the water flowing back into its bed but in the nature of water during a slosh, overshooting this other side so that both sides of the ocean experience this flood tide, alternately, for some days until the momentum diminishes. When the flood tide recedes, those afloat are in danger of being dragged far out to sea with the flow, as the water will rush to its bed unevenly, more rapidly where it can recede the fastest.
Prior ZT: http://www.zetatalk.com/7steps.htm
Our advice to be 100 miles from a coastline and 200 feet above sea level to avoid the coastal tidal waves during the pole shift should be applied.
Prior 2012 ZT: http://www.zetatalk.com/ning/11ag2012.htm
The tides during the Pole Shift will rise 500-600 feet along coastlines, not crashing down but steadily pushing inland.
Prior 2006 ZT: http://www.zetatalk.com/index/zeta271.htm
The eddy flow created by particles flowing coming from the Sun and thence around the sides of Planet X trapped Earth in her stalled orbit, and held her there in front of Planet X, no escape. As Planet X proceeded past the Sun's S Pole in his sling orbit, he went within the orbit of Venus, and thus likewise trapped Venus in this eddy flow cup when she came round in her orbit to encounter Planet X. The Earth's dark twin, sharing an orbit with Earth, joined this group of trapped planets within months, remaining behind the Earth, likewise stalled in their shared orbit, a dark hunk of black rock reflecting little light and thus essentially invisible to man.
Prior 2010 ZT: http://www.zetatalk.com/7of10/7of10-84.htm
The severe wobble will also create tides that will assault coastlines in predictable places. Follow where the ocean currents go today, and exacerbate them to get an idea of what areas might be hit. This is not altogether a curse, but a blessing, as residents on those coastlines will have moved inland prior to the pole shift, For them, a life saving manoeuvre.
Prior 2010 ZT: http://www.zetatalk.com/info/tinfx316.htm
France can anticipate a tsunami of 100 feet, Spain perhaps 30-40 feet, the UK 200-300 feet, and Norway 50-75 feet. The full brunt of the tsunami that strikes the UK will also wash through the English Channel, entering the North Sea, and clashing with the any flow coming down from the Norwegian Sea. The lowlands in the North Sea can expect a tsunami an estimated 100 foot high.

I have come up with an early warming system that may be able to alert people in their sleep that the severe wobble has started and that it is time to get up and move out. Our family uses an app called Life360 on our smart phones which not only tells us where each family member is but it also tells us when that family member has left our house and when they arrive. When the earth wobble starts, satellites should be unable to properly track a person's positron and thus should report that a person using life360 has left home as the earth begins to wobble when in actual fact that person is home sleeping. A gentle bell sound will be heard and if one awakes and looks at the GPS and finds that it shows you somewhere but where you actually are, this could be taken as the time to get out. This is the only thing that i can think of but if anyone else has any suggestions please add them in.

Although everything said indicates that this may be the only way for the Council of Worlds to stop the elections, the word "possible" is used when talking about this. Nevertheless, I also came away from reading about it with the feeling that it was imminent. This is quite unsettling even though there is still an element of doubt. The impacts would be global affecting not just coastlines on the outer edges of continents but also the inner coastlines near lakes big and small. There also would be a jolt to the plates causing a temporary uptick in tectonic activity as well as possible awakening of volcanoes. Another aspect of a severe wobble would be high winds. Your idea for early warning is interesting Carlos and I appreciate your effort to try to come up with something to help others have a chance of getting to a safer location. We all need to be on higher alert these days it seems.

I imagine that the high waves would happen not as the earth is into the wobble but as the wobble reaches is peak and is about to return in the opposite direction because the earth is essentially putting on the brakes. If this is correct then people should have a 12 hour window before the waves arrive. Does this sound correct? Please comment

Carlos, Gordon G also came up with a good idea, which I am sharing here. He suggested one hand a long pendulum from the ceiling, 7 feet or whatever, as long as possible. Then if it starts to sway, an alarm goes off. This would either mean 1. and earthquake (not a bad idea to be woken up in that case either) or 2. a severe wobble.
Gordon wanted me to mention the Foucaults Pendulum arrangement that was at the UN, taken down years ago for no known reason. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foucault_pendulum

Ok looks like I might have found something that everyone can use to detect changes in the earth wobble and is totally programmable with an alarm. I downloaded an app into my phone called accelerometer analyzer from the play store on my Samsung phone and it's free. It detects movement in the Z,Y,Z axis so any change in any direction will be detected. It also has an option in the settings menu to change the sensitivity of the device. Mine is set to .5m per second square but I think you can set it to what ever you want. I imagine that it should go off twice a day as the wobble goes from one direction to another. The app has an icon that is mostly black with a blue edge and a squiggly line which I assume is to indicate movement. Let's work together in figuring out an early warming system that everyone can use. Download the app and set it to what ever sensitivity you want, then wait for it to go off and report back. If we all get an alarm at the same time then that could indicate that it is actually detecting when the earth wobble changes direction which should be twice a day. Let's do this and save some lives

Got a Q&A on what looks like a storm surge but no storm, not a tsunami as no quakes nearby. Looks like a slosh as Santos is on the N/S line, a slosh putting water going North would do this. This was 8/21.

Post Script: Just did new ZT on the 9/10 Q&A and Zetas point out WAS a wobble slosh. There were two ning members who reported a very southerly sunrise on 8/21, the day of the Santos slosh. One was in western Canada, the other in the UK, so miles apart. No quakes on the eastern coast of S America during those days, though plate border with S America and Africa had a bunch. Hello everyone, Torsten. Here is my weekend wobble data. We are using life360 which is an app that allows one to keep track of family members. It tells you when they leave home and when they arrive. The idea was to monitor a family member and see if life360 reports the person leaving home when they are actually home sleeping. This did happen three times this weekend and here is the data.
Sat Sept. 3, 2016
1:53 am-9:38 pm home
9:58 pm-10:13 pm left home.
Sun
9:03 am-9:21 am home
9:39 am-10:59 pm left home
Monday
2:23 am-5:08 am home
5:28 am-5:43 am left home
All of the "left home" were to the same address and roughly 12 hours apart. We were all at home and no one left. This could coincide with the earth wobble where the gps for life360 was unable to keep up with the earth wobble. I will keep monitoring the data to see if it is consistent with the earth wobble for my area. Life360 sounds an alarm when a family member leaves or arrives home but the times that it reports for a person leaving and returning home depend on Internet connection so my times might not be exact as I was in a remote area. With a good Internet connection and the gps running, it might be possible to detect greater earth wobbles way before they affect an area. Torsten is also doing some investigating with siesmology so let's all work together

When using life360 make sure that you add at least four people to your family circle. I have five people on the circle tested for the earth wobble but only one of the person's reported leaving home in the middle of the night. All five of us were together the entire weekend and slept in the same place so it looks like life 360 is able to keep up with most people but not all at the same time. This is not the only time that the gps on this app has reported one of us leaving in the middle of the night. This is why I decided to use this app to test the earth wobble. Next I would like to try a bowling ball hanging from the ceiling with a pen attached to it and a piece of paper underneath. I think of the bowling ball works, it might be a more reliable method as it can be rigged to sound an alarm. If I get results, I will post them along with instructions on how to do it.

Dramatic moment seven foot tidal wave sweeps away beach chairs, boats and parasols as mini tsunami strikes the Netherlands
Footage has emerged of a mini tsunami hitting the coast of The Netherlands catching beachgoers off guard with a seven foot tidal wave.
According to local media, the phenomenon is so rare that it is the first time it has been so well filmed and documented.
The first reports of an approaching tidal wave of a medium height were at around 5.45am on Monday morning.
The mini tsunami hits Zandvoort in the Netherlands on Monday. The wave swept away beach chairs. boats and parasols
In footage shot from the balcony of a flat in the coastal resort of Zandvoort, the wave can be seen sweeping away beach chairs, boats and parasols.
The man filming is heard saying 'a tsunami!' multiple times in disbelief at what he is seeing.
In another video filmed from a sailing club 15 miles away in the resort of Katwijk the sea is clearly seen retreating first.
A big wave crashes ashore with lightning flashing in the background.
No one was injured in the incident although there was some damage.
The unique phenomenon is called a meteotsunami or meteorological tsunami.
It is generated when rapid changes in atmospheric pressure cause the displacement of a body of water.
It often emerges as the forerunner of a thunderstorm front and corresponds essentially to a cold front.
They occur more frequently in the spring when the North Sea water is still cold.
The footage taken at a sailing club in the resort of Katwijk
On Monday in the Netherlands, a big thunderstorm was approaching from the sea and an inversion was recorded.
Meteorologists speak of inversion when the air on the ground is cooler than in the upper air layers, which then changed the air pressure causing the meteotsunami together with strong gusts.
The last recorded meteotsunamis in the Netherlands occurred in 2004 and 2006.
They have also been recorded in the United Kingdom. The first ever officially identified one hit the Cornish coastline in June 2011.
Professor David Tappin of the British Geological Survey said: 'Most tsunamis are geological, where you have a vertical movement on the seabed which can be caused by an earthquake, like in Japan in 2011, or a landslide.
'Meteotsunamis, however, are created by weather. You need a small, rapid change in atmospheric pressure of just a few millibars, if you get one of these then it can change the sea surface elevation by a few centimetres.'
'In the deep ocean this would not be noticeable but when it enters shallow water whilst the weather system is moving at the same speed then the sea level increases by several metres.'

Tsunami waves damage some villages on the Greenland coast
This damage was detected by our colleagues of the 2017 Earthquake Impact Database - EID on Google Docs - Like EID on Facebook
Although we have no registered earthquake in the area, the Danish seismological service GEUS has confirmed to the Danish press that a M4.0 earthquake occurred in Greenland. Several villages have been inundated by the water. One of them the village of Nuugaatsiaq (see picture) 30 km south of the epicenter of the M4 earthquake.
The Danish police gives only limited information as they are trying to find out what exactly happened and how many villages sustained damage.
Shortly after the news reached Denmark, the authorities have requested the population to go for higher ground.
Greenland had similar tsunamis in the past. They were often caused by land- or seaslides.
Except for the material damage, there is no news of injuries or fatalities but nothing can be excluded at the moment.
The Greenland coast is sparsely populated.
Click on this link to watch a video recorded in the village Nuugaatsiaq - Same video with another link
The Google Earth map below shows the steep cliffs in the surrounding sounds. Additionally the village of Nuugaatsiaq is located on a plateau with steep cliffs in the background.
Update 09:56 UTC: The population of the village of Nuugaatsiaq (2010 census 84 inhabitants) have now all been evacuated to the town of Uummannaq (1200 inhabitants) as the authorities do fear for aftershocks who can generate additional land- or seaslides.
Update 09:58 UTC: The probable epicenter location of the earthquake in on the below photo (we projected 30 km North of Nuugaatsiaq on the map). The Danish seismological service GEUS had the data but is probably NOT working on a Sunday as we cannot gather more precise information or news in their website!

Small tsunami hits Caribbean Colombia, underwater landslide likely cause
Colombian General Maritime Directorate (Dimar) reports an unusual rise in sea level (50 cm / 1.6 feet) took place around 13:20 UTC (08:20 local time) on July 19, 2017, causing flooding in different parts of the coast near Santa Marta on the country's Caribbean coast.
The event was not due to astronomical causes that generate the tide or meteorological, associated with events like the passage of tropical cyclones, Dimar said in a press release.
Due to the period of the disturbance, it is likely that this corresponds to a small wave, which has no origin in a seismic event, so this wave may have been caused by an underwater landslide, it added. The event is being investigated by the Colombian Maritime Authorty.
The same event was registered again at 09:00 local time, although with a lower intensity, and registered by another tide gauge installed at the tidal station located in Ballenas (La Guajira).
"Such events can not be predicted," the agency said. "However, as there is no evidence of tectonic origin of the event, it is not expected to be repeated in the near future."
Dimar said it will continue to monitor the development of this natural event and inviteed the community to be attentive to the recommendations of the officials of the Port Captaincies in the Caribbean region and consult the meteorological reports issued through the Center for Oceanographic and Hydrographic Research (CIOH) of the Caribbean and published on the website of the Colombian Maritime Authority.
According to El Heraldo, residents of Pueblo Viejo, coastal municipality of the Magdalena and contiguous to Ciénaga said the phenomenon caused the sea to recede about 100 m (328 feet) followed by a large wave, similar to a tsunami.

And the sea disappeared suddenly: Ocean mysteriously recedes from various beaches in Brazil and Uruguay making people fear a tsunami is coming
Ocean water mysteriously receded from various beaches in Porto Alegre and Tramandai, Brazil and Punta del Este, Uruguay. A tsunami underway?
On August 11, 2017, the ocean water almost disappeared along beaches in Punta del Este, Uruguay:
Just several hours later on August 12, 2017, the same weird phenomenon occurred along beaches in Porto Alegre and Tramandaí in Brazil:
Waters recede ahead of a tsunami, so you understand people running for their lifes, when they observed this phenomenon. When there are no signs of large quakes and tsunamis, weather specialists believe that offshore storms and wind direction may also trigger a similar effect. For example for Punta del Este in Uruguay, when there are storms with a south wind, the waters rise and hit the rambla. In contrast when the storms are accompaied by a north wind, the water recedes.
But this time such a giant and widespread ocean receding effect is unprecedented!

Penang floods: Huge waves wedge 440-tonne ferry on dock
BUTTERWORTH: Lashing winds here on Sunday stirred up huge waves, strong enough to partially throw a large ferry onto the dock.
Despite having a deadweight of 440 tonnes, one end of the vessel has been wedged on the concrete dock since 2am Sunday.
An officer at the ferry dock said the waves were "unbelievable" last night.
"Pulau Pinang (the name of the ferry) was docked at midnight when the service stopped for the night.
"We watched it roll wildly in the waves and it was pushed up to the dock. We have never seen it happen before," he said.
He added that it would be impossible to push the vessel back onto the sea.

'Five dead' after huge 5ft tsunami unleashes terrifying waves that tear through Indonesian city after 7.5 magnitude earthquake strikes
Five people are feared dead after a tsunami crashed through an Indonesian coastal city demolishing houses and leaving families missing.
A 6.1 magnitude quake hit Indonesia's densely populated Sulawesi region on Friday morning, quickly followed by even fiercer 7.5 magnitude tremors which caused the tidal wave.
The National Disaster Mitigation Agency has warned that initial reports show 'victims died in the rubble of a collapsed building'.
Dramatic video footage filmed from the top floor of a parking ramp spiral in Palu and posted on Twitter, showed a churning wall of whitewater flatten a large mosque.
Houses have been swept away and people reported missing as the waves struck Palu and another city, Donggala - Indonesian disaster agency spokesman Sutopo Purwo Nugroho confirmed.
Sutopo said communications with the area in central Sulawesi are down and the search and rescue effort is being hampered by darkness.
There were no immediate reports of deaths or injuries after the latest tremor, but it was a higher magnitude than a series of quakes that killed hundreds on the island of Lombok this summer.
The Indonesian government caused widespread confusion after issuing a tsunami alert on Friday afternoon, then quickly repealing at 5pm despite the tremors.
Three hours later at 8pm local time a spokesman for Indonesia's geophysics agency confirmed that a tsunami had in fact occurred.
People in Central Sulawesi and West Sulawesi provinces were only then told to evacuate to higher ground.
It remains unclear as to whether people remained in their homes because of the contradicting government advice.
'There are reports that many buildings collapsed in the earthquake,' Nugroho said in a statement.

Huge waves in Peru
Dozens of holiday makers had the fear of their lives as anomalous and enormous wavessuddenly engulfed several coastal cities near Mancora, in the region of Piura, Peru, on December 22, 2018.
According to witnesses, the waves reached up to 50 meters in height at around 4pm as explained in the description of the video below. I would say 5 meters is more reality-based:
Police started evacuating the resorts when the large waves started flooding shops and restaurants along the coast.
Look at the guests of this hotel being almost made prisoners by the giant waves:
Enormous waves flood Cuba
Strong winds coming from the southern United States caused waves and sea penetration in western Cuba, with flooding in low-lying urban areas of Havana on December 21, 2018.
There were no reports of casualties, but damage linked to flooding.
Havanna was completely flooded:
This is interesting considering the different places flooded by giant waves in recent days… As well as the volcanic tsunami in Indonesia.

Spanish tourist resort Santa Pola hit with freak flooding ahead of heatwave
Santa Pola was hit on Wednesday night by the freak weather incident, which caused tsunami-like waves to hit the coastal area.
Waves of water splashed onto land, damaging fishing fleets and flooding coastal walks.
Called a rissaga in Catalan Spanish, a meteotsunami is triggered by drastic changes in atmosphere. They are often caused by weather events such as a heatwave.
Policía Local de Santa Pola said on their social media pages: "An unexpected meteorological phenomenon has surprised us tonight, with a sudden "rise in tide" that has caused many problems for the moored fishing fleet, even causing several boats to drift.
"It has caused different damages on the coast, so we ask for patience while the competent services carry out the corresponding tasks to mitigate the consequences.
Hot weather is expected to hit Spain and nearby countries Portugal and Italy in coming days thanks to a front pushing north from the Sahara. Some forecasters are warning temperatures will hit 47C, with the heat expected to last until at least Monday.
Issuing a heat warning, a spokesperson for Spain's weather service AEMET said: "Mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands are facing a probable heatwave.
"This could lead to adverse effects on people's health and to a significant risk of forest fires.
Temperatures hit 47C in Sicily on Tuesday, close to Italy's highest ever recorded temperature of 48.5C.
Then temperatures climbed to a record-breaking 48.8 degrees in Syracuse, located on the island's south-east coast, on Wednesday, according to Sicily's Agrometeorological Information System (SIAS).
Athens previously held the record title for the hottest temperature in Europe at 48C, accepted by World Meteorological Organisation (WMO).
Wildfires, similar to those that have hit Greece, Cyprus and Turkey are predicted to hit some areas.

Big surf, high tide creating dangerous conditions, flooding on SoCal coast
Farther up the beach, the waves were splashing over a rock barrier, flooding the exterior walkways of an oceanside hotel with water up to the second floor.
Tom Papak was surprised Thursday while visiting Aliso Viejo from Rancho Santa Margarita with his wife.
"We come here once or twice a week and I've never seen the waves this big. It's just huge, you know, anywhere from five, six, seven feet. I guess last night they were around eight to 10 feet," Papak said.
Surfers at The Wedge in Newport Beach were taking on the swell.
Meanwhile, lifeguards in Los Angeles County were warning the public on social media about rip currents.
Wednesday afternoon, Newport Beach saw a few waves break a 14-foot berm at the Balboa Pier.
High tides and big surf are putting on a show and creating dangerous conditions along beaches throughout Southern California.
In Aliso Beach, the Lost Pier Cafe saw the waves make their way through the patio Wednesday, leaving behind a sandy mess, filled with shells and forcing the restaurant to close early Thursday, as the spectacle continued.
Sarah Coeyman and her friend had to move several times as the water took over.
"The water was coming almost over the wall where we were sitting. It was just really high tide the lifeguards were running every which way every time they saw someone near or around the rocks. They were hustling out there to say, 'Come back, come back.'"
Wayland Rengifo and his friend were visiting from Atlanta. Rengifo said he preferred to take the advice from lifeguards and watch safely from a distance.
Nearly all US mainland coastal areas will see a surge in high-tide floods in the mid-2030s, when a lunar cycle will amplify rising sea levels, a NASA study found.
"I can't get out there and walk like I normally do or go swimming or anything like that so yeah, it sets you back, but you still gotta come out here and enjoy the day, no matter what you do," Rengifo said.
People planning a visit to Aliso Beach need to prepare for a bit of a walk because as long as the tide remains high the public parking lot next to the water will be closed.
