African roll and Mediterranean drop watch

Per the Zetas sequence during the 7 of 10, when S America rolls, almost in step with the folding Pacific, it (5) tears the Atlantic Rift on the southern side. This allows (6) Africa freedom to move and it rolls too, (7) dropping the Mediterranean floor above Algeria.

Africa Roll is occuring NOW, and has been occurring since well before Christmas of 2010 when suddenly earthquakes began around Gulf of Aden/Djibouti - followed up later by the eruption of extinct Volcano, NABRO.

Africa, like the South American continent, has begun to roll. This is first in the series: Indonesia’s drop, then S America’s roll, then Africa’s roll. Keep in mind these are just orientation pointers; the real thing is still on the back burner!

.

ZetaTalk Chat Q&A for October 16, 2010

The roll of Africa, as we have described, will be more of a twist in place, so that the southern tip of the African Plate shifts somewhat to the west, toward the void opened up by the spreading Atlantic Rift, while the plate overall drops enough that having the top part shift to the east does not do damage along the plate boundaries. The Straits of Gibraltar will open an additional 125 miles and the northern point at Morocco will move 50 miles further east. All points around the northern border of Africa will move commensurately. S Africa will find itself similarly 125 miles further south, and westward by about 35 miles.

.

ZetaTalk Chat Q&A for October 16, 2010

The fact that the African Plate, during previous rolls, created mountain building can be seen on a relief map. Morocco and Algeria have mountains due to the rolling in the past. One can see in the mountains of Spain and Italy and the Balkans and Turkey that this was the case there, too, in the past. The Alps themselves were built during previous African rolls. But this time the African Plate will drop away significantly, slipping to the south during the roll. This movement is possible because as the South Atlantic Rift tears open, there is room for the tip of Africa to slid into that void, thus dropping the entire African Plate as it rolls. The African Plate not only moves to the south during this process, it also further to the west, although the southern portion of Africa moves more in this direction more than the parts abutting the Mediterranean.

That said, why would the floor of the Mediterranean just above Algeria be more vulnerable than other areas during this roll? The border of the African Plate slices across northern Algeria, and thus when the plate rolls and drops, the Mediterranean floor there will suddenly find itself unsupported. Where the land mass housing Morocco and Algeria will not lose elevation, in the main, retaining its floatation strength to ride on the magma beneath, the floor of the Mediterranean is of a different composition. It will sink there, unsupported on the African side where the plates will pull apart. The Mediterranean coastline of Algeria will then find more than tsunami worries as they will have a loss of elevation by 12 feet or more. Their coastline is not part of the African Plate. What sinks and what continues to float on the magma beneath is a factor of the rock density, and the floor of the Mediterranean above Algeria has only been floating as it has due to the connection with the African Plate. Elsewhere, where the Mediterranean floor spreads during the roll, the floor is either too deep for a change to be noticed or at a distance from the plate border.

Tsunami will not occur to any ostensible degree because there is a void being created, where the waters will rush. However, turmoil and wave action can be anticipated. The shifting of the African Plate will also not incite any mountain building in Italy or the Balkans or Turkey, as the northern edge of the African Plate is not the solid, jutting line through the center of the Mediterranean that mankind assumes. The sea is deep there, to the south of Italy and the Balkans and Greece, and for good reason. This part of the great plates has fractured in the past, so that many fault lines lie under the surface, unknown to man until dramatic plate movements begin. The roll of the African Plate during the 7 of 10 scenarios thus spares all but the Mediterranean floor above Algeria! The roll will incite the Arabian Plate to roll also, to some degree, as across from Egypt there will be pressure, but further down the Red Sea there will be a tearing apart, inviting the Arabian Plate to migrate in this direction. However, this is not the disaster we have predicted for Iraq, not yet. Nor will the Afar Triangle, the African Rift Valley, experience changes all that dramatic during this roll.

.
ZetaTalk Statement 11/20/2010: Africa has begun to roll. Just as in July, when Pakistan sank approximately 10 feet in elevation, indicating the plate holding India was tilting, this does NOT mean the big 7 of 10 prediction is occurring in Indonesia. Jakarta began to sink in September, and again, this does not mean the big 7 of 10 for Indonesia is at hand, nor did the many volcanoes erupting in Sumatra and Java in October signify the 7 of 10 had occurred. Towns along the coastline in Columbia began crumbing and sinking, and villages on the N Andes fault line in Colombia and Ecuador were clearly mountain building in late October, and all this following oil rig eruptions in rigs in Trinidad and Tobago and the island of Bonaire in the Caribbean. But all of this did not indicate the 7 of 10 roll for S America had occurred. We stated the sequence of events would be Indonesia's drop, then S America's roll, then Africa's roll. What you are seeing is a warmup, precursors, in all these regions. We stated that the trend would be obvious before the actual event, and you are seeing the trends.
The edge of the African Plate was outlined with quakes, occurring in the Indian Ocean, the Atlantic, the Mediterranean, and of course the Gulf of Aden.

The distress on the African continent showed up during this time on the live seismographs, which showed a peculiar jiggle in those countries being stretched during the roll nudge. Note that some of these countries are above the Mediterranean, as the plate border through the Mediterranean would be tugging at them, too.

The Zetas have described the roll of the African Plate as a dropping down of the plate as well as a twist of the top to the east. As the Atlantic Rift pulls apart in the southern hemisphere, the Africa Plate has room to drop down a bit, pushing into the Atlantic Rift near S Africa. This eases the pressure on the Mediterranean, during the roll
And from :  ZetaTalk Chat Q&A for January 29, 2011  (http://www.zetatalk2.com/ning/29ja2011.htm)

Like the great crevasses that have been opening up in this region, the 7 of 10 stretch will not be accompanied by great quakes. The stretch zone is silent, in the main. Jiggling and shuddering might occur, with minor quakes jolting now and then, but basically a silent process. Of course there will be lava, hardening into a new surface, as the plates are being pulled apart and beneath the plates is magma. And where the surface is thin, magma may bubble up. But the Red Sea will not be an explosive or erupting volcanic region, as Hawaii is, because it will not be under pressure from colliding or compressing plates.  (http://www.zetatalk2.com/info/tinfx027.htm)

When the 7 of 10 scenario for Africa occurs, dropping Africa and widening the Red Sea, the isthmus holding Istanbul will tear, dropping the city into rubble. During the hour of the pole shift, what is left of Istanbul will find water sloshing back and forth between the Mediterranean and Black Sea and will be gravely affected by quakes along the various fault lines that traverse the area. Tsunami will not be the issue during the Earth changes affecting Turkey, as the fault lines move horizontally and will not raise or lower plates on either side to create a mass of water on the move.

GIANT WAVE OFF PORTUGAL CAUSED FATAL YACHT CAPSIZE (Portugal, Oct 12)

Two sailors from Essex were killed when their yacht was hit by a 20ft (6m) wave and capsized off the coast of Portugal.

An inquest heard that Chris Hull, 52, Glenn Foster, 23, and Chris Brooks, 24, were sailing the yacht Waterwave from Vigo in northwest Spain.

The men, from Southend, decided to stop at Povoa de Varzim harbour near Porto.

Mr Brooks said he tried to turn the yacht but the wave capsized it. The coroner recorded in a narrative verdict that the wave had caused their deaths.

At the coroner's court in Southend, Mr Hull's wife Kim paid tribute to her husband but said she was unhappy with the verdict and would be seeking legal advice.

Mr Brooks told the court he was a commercially endorsed yachtmaster and had other sailing qualifications.

He said: "The group set sail from Vigo in Spain when the weather was good, there was no wind and it was very sunny.

"Events took a turn for the worse when we decided to stop at Povoa de Varzim to change the crew.

"As we approached the harbour, which was closed, I saw the wave and tried to turn the boat into it.

"But I could only manage to get it at 45 degrees to the wave which broke the mast when it hit the boat and capsized it."

Mr Brooks was thrown from the yacht because he was not wearing his lifeline.

He said he could see Mr Hull and Mr Foster still attached to the side of the capsized yacht by their lifelines.

He tried to swim towards them but the yacht was drifting away so he decided to turn around and head for the shore where he was later picked up.

The yacht later crashed on to the shore.

Mr Hull's wife Kim asked whose decision it was to enter the harbour.

Mr Brooks said it was a joint decision as there were no warning lights or announcements on the radio to tell them otherwise.

Earthquake swarms could indicate eruption near Nisyros, Greece  (Dec 4)

A seismic swarm of 2000 microearthquakes near the island of Nisyros since 24 November could indicate a start of a or coming of a volcanic eruption near Nisyros.
The quakes are located between the area of Simi Island (Greece) and the Bozburun peninsula of SW Turkey: click here for a map and list of quakes.

Information is still scanty, but seismic signals from this possible eruption are very similar to those recorded from current volcanic eruptions.

If an eruption is taking place, it would form a new submarine volcano near Nisyros.

No proof has yet been found to prove that an eruption may be taking place. Some sources think the swarm may be tectonic (as the Aegean sea is very seismically active). The VolcanoDiscovery alert will be kept at Green until further evidence is found.

RISK OF VOLCANIC ERUPTION IN TURKEY (DEC 20)

There is a risk of volcanic eruption in Turkish province of Mugla close to Marmaris, CNN Turk TV channel said on Thursday.

This was stated by scientists of Maltepe University. Some 12 scientists, carrying out research in the coastal Mediterranean area for several months found that there is a risk of an underwater volcano eruption as a result of numerous earthquakes in the area.

A crater was also found at a depth of 25 metres under water.

Turkey is located in a seismically active zone. The most powerful vibrations of the earth's crust in this country occurred in the Marmara Sea in 1999. The magnitude of the tremors was 7.4. About 18,000 people were killed in the earthquake.

EARTHQUAKE PANIC GRIPS REGION OF BLACK SEA, NEAR RUSSIAN CITY OF SOCHI (DEC 26)

Earthquakes continue to plague a region near the Black Sea. Sochi is a city in Krasnodar Krai, Russia, situated on the Black Sea coast ,near the border between Georgia and Russia.
Russia’s President Vladimir Putin ordered the emergencies ministry to check the 2014 Olympic sites in the southern city of Sochi following a string of earthquakes, his spokesman said. “The President ordered the emergencies ministry to pay close attention to the shocks in Sochi and other cities,” Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, Interfax reported. “He asked that special attention is paid to construction sites to make sure they suffer no damage,” Peskov added. Three earthquakes were felt in Sochi since December 10. Authorities said they caused no damage, but paid special concern to the Black Sea resort city due to ongoing construction of the 2014 Olympic Games venues. A quake of 5.5 magnitude hit the future Olympic host city early Wednesday, according to the Krasnodar region branch of the emergency ministry. A quake of the same magnitude affected Sochi on Sunday. On December 10, Sochi residents also felt the 4.8 magnitude earthquake that struck near Novorossiysk, the port city over 100 kilometers northwest from Sochi. On Tuesday, rumors of a stronger earthquake in the city became so prevalent that Sochi’s administration issued a special statement urging residents “not to succumb to panic” and threatened police action against people who spread earthquake rumors. Olympic developers in Sochi are managing two giant construction sites, in the mountains and by the Black Sea, connected by a road, which is also unfinished. Although some sport events are already hosted by the city, much of the supporting infrastructure is still unfinished, while residents complain of constant power and water outages.

Stromboli volcano (Italy) : Strong explosions (Jan 1)

Activity has been at exceptionally high levels recently. During a recent visit, we observed several active vents inside the crater terrace with near-continuous lava spattering and strombolian explosion at intervals of 10-30 minutes, sometimes rich in ash and sometimes ejecting small fountains of glowing bombs. The northeastern vent in particular has been producing powerful and bright explosions of very liquid lava, with ejections into all directions reaching several hundred meters in height and throwing incandescent lava bombs all over the upper crater slope.
These explosions occurred about every 20-30 minutes and caused loud detonations audible (and sometimes visible) in the village and rattle doors and windows.
A very bright glow could sometimes observed above the crater terrace on 30 Dec and suggests that there are intermittent intra-crater lava flows.

Volcanic Activity Suspected off Turkey’s Coast (Jan 3)

A new submarine volcanic eruption might have recently started off Turkey’s west coast in the Marmaris Sea between the mainland and the Greek Island of Symi near Rhodes.
Scientists from Istanbul’s Technical University announced that they have found evidence of two active vents at about 200 m water depth along a north-south trending fissure 2.5-3 km long. According to local newspapers, a rise in sea temperature was detected which suggests that lava might be erupting from the vents. According to Prof. Ahmet Ercan, it might take one to three, or 20 years for the volcano to surface if at all.
The area is located at the eastern end of the volcanically active Hellenic arc and volcanic activity there would not in fact be a  surprise. Possibly preceding the eruption, as magma was rising through the crust, the area was affected by a series of seismic swarms during the past months. According to scientists, a previous submarine eruption already occurred there in 2009.

I think this is due to the recent floods in the Balkans

    27.02.13. Heavy flooding in Balkans

Those places are few hundred km from the flooded areas. They are on the coast where the climate is mediteranian (rather dry) and there was no excess rain lately. However, those places are on the border of Euroasian and Adriatic Plates so it is likely part of the African roll.

    Zetatalk June 2, 2012:

    SOZT
There is a plate border running down the center of Italy, as it straddles more than one plate - the Eurasian Plate and a platelet called the Adriatic Plate which lies under the Adriatic Sea. The Adriatic Plate is actually an extension of the African Plate, pushing up like a finger between Italy and the Balkans, just as the Sunda Plate in Indonesia is actually an extension of the great Eurasian Plate, lobbing down from the Eurasian Plate like a tongue. Platelets have borders, which are sometimes called fault lines, but overall act as one with the plate they are attached to, as the underlying rock is a firm layer which will not sever, though can bend. The Adriatic finger thus MOVES whenever the African Plate moves, and the 7 of 10 African roll has set this in motion.

The Adriatic Sea is surrounded by motion, not just from the African Plate which is dropping and shifting eastward during the 7 of 10 plate movements, as we have explained. Europe has a large swath in the stretch zone above the Adriatic. And as the African roll progresses, the Arabian Plate will likewise move its heel back into the void of the expanding Red Sea, pushing the tip of the boot eastward through the oil fields of Iraq. This motion in the Arabian Plate will allow the stretch zone east of the Adriatic Sea more room to adjust. All of this translates into plate border movement up through the center of Italy.

What does this mean for Italy, which is already experiencing unending quake swarms and increased devastation from the repeated hammering of larger quakes. We hinted in May of 2010 that the 8 of 10 scenarios would include plate movement that seemed almost continuous,

for some areas.  This warning was repeated in September of 2010
    http://www.zetatalk.com/ning/11sp2010.htm
    and in November of 2010
    http://www.zetatalk.com/ning/06no2010.htm
we hinted that something devastating was in store for Italy during the 8 of 10 scenarios. Italy will not find peace during the 7 of 10 plate movements, nor afterwards, because the rock finger that lies under the Adriatic Sea will move DURING THE EARTH WOBBLE on a daily basis. The land on either side of the Adriatic Sea will be alternately compressed and then pulled apart, a continuous hell for those living on these lands.

look at the relief of the region - all the mountains in the Balkans grew from the subduction of the African plate, which now is rolling, the rain has no relation to floods, or minor
