California giant UFO witness: 'I almost drove off the road'

A California witness driving north on toll Route 73 near Irvine reports watching a "giant, long, thin, dark gray" hovering object on May 5, 2012, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

"I almost drove off road," the witness stated. "I know what it was not, but I don't know what it was. Not a cloud, not an airplane, not a helicopter...truly nothing I can say I know of unless military is doing something secret at old El Toro Air Field."

The witness assumes the football field-length object was seen by many other people in the area.

"I assumed thousands of people saw this from ground. I assume you will be bombarded by reports. I called my friend coming south on Route 5, but she didn't see it? It was something."

No images or videos were included with the MUFON report, which was filed on May 7, 2012. Irvine is in suburban Orange County, CA, population 212,375.

California is a current UFO ALERT 3 rating, with a high number of UFO sightings nationally. California had 77 reports in April 2012 - the highest reporting state in the nation.

The following is the unedited and as yet uninvestigated report filed with MUFON. Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. A classic triangle-shaped UFO was caught on tape in the skies over an unidentified city in Israel. What is it?

The video, posted to YouTube, has comments posted in Hebrew. Translation reveals that the witness was returning from a traditional ceremony when he noticed the strange lights in the sky.

The unidentified flying objects have the shape of the triangle object being seen in other videos taken all around the world. The lights seem to fold over on themselves while maintaining relative distance from each other.

They appear to be flickering rather than flashing and the shape of this particular UFO is not like any known airplane, jet or helicopter. The witness sounds surprised as he comments on the strange sight in Hebrew. The objects don't look like any kind of bird or any other, so far, explainable phenomenon.

An Ottawa witness reports that she saw a huge UFO on 5 May 2012 according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness reports where she and her boyfriend had originally witnessed a UFO back in December 2011.  The witness recalls the sighting.

“My boyfriend and I were on the balcony of our apartment in Ottawa Ontario.”

The witness reported the colour of the UFO that her boyfriend witnessed.

“He saw this huge orange big ball of light in the sky.”

Having been astonished by the appearance of the UFO, they also noted its changing size.

“We wondered: What the heck is that? It would get smaller and disappear.”

The witness reported that the nature of the UFO’s changing appearance was scary.

“It was foggy out this night, and whenever the light would disappear whenever it was about to reappear the clouds in the sky would light up and then BAM the light would be back. It was the scariest thing I had seen really. It freaked me out.”

Before the video starts, There were 4 deep glowing orange lights floating in a "Z" pattern, Three of them faded away and thats when the video starts. I have worked here for a year and I know the flight routes, at the 1 min mark you can see a regular plane fling left to right, that is normal. But the other lights just seem to appear from the bottom right and hover in the middle of the screen. For sure I know three people saw this, me, my coworker and a guy that stopped in the middle of the street (maybe filming too?) but he gets honked at. The lights were a deep orange color and did not have any blinking lights as commercial aircraft do. This was an experience I will not forget.

UFO alarm sounds around North Island

There have been an "unprecedented" number of UFO sightings reported in the North Island over the past two months, UFO watchers say.

And aliens may even have visited Northland in the past five weeks, with one man reporting seeing a UFO land in the region, Suzanne Hansen, director from Ufocus NZ research network said.

She said: "He's a very credible source. He saw an object that had landed and said it was definitely not an aircraft or like anything else he had seen.

"I've got 30 (UFO/UAP) reports on my desk at the moment from the upper North Island and Northland from the past couple of weeks that we're yet to process [on top of the many others] ... It's unprecedented."

Maungakaramea resident Charles Gillard reported seeing strange lights hovering above the Tangihua ranges just after 4am yesterday.

Mr Gillard said the white and blueish lights were definitely not a helicopter or plane and darted about at speed for several minutes before simply vanishing.

"I've never seen anything like it before, but it definitely wasn't somebody with a torch or vehicles as it was above the skyline, not on the hills," he said.

Inquiries could not find any helicopters or planes operating in the area at that time yesterday morning.

Ms Hansen said Mr Gillard's sighting was similar to others reported recently in Northland and Ufocus would be looking into all such reports made to its website www.ufocusnz.org.nz.

"Researchers we work with in Australia have reported the same things happening there with what we call a "UFO Flap" [an outbreak of UFO sightings] there as well," Ms Hansen said.

UFO: Flying Cigar appears and vanishes say New York witness

A New York witness reports a cigar-shaped UFO on 19 May 2012 according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness indicated at the time of the UFO sighting, that he or she was with a group of friends at an urban location.

"We were all out in front of the Cherry Bar on Cherry, smoking, when we saw this red shiny glowing but perfectly outlined cigar shaped thing in the sky."

The witness further recalled the lack of movement of the "cigar thing", and also recalled its illumination.

“It was not moving, but blinking, not doing anything; and then it darted to one side, and after that appeared to move downward.”

The witness then observed further movements.

“The thing then darted to another direction; and then totally vanished.”

The witness thought that was the object or entity was gone.

“We thought it was all gone and we all stood there looking; it then reappeared in a different part of the sky further down the street.”

The witness reported further directional changes by the object or entity.

The thing just took-off toward the right, and then stopped and hovered; and then took off right again until we couldn’t see it anymore because of the buildings and trees.”

The witness reported the he or his group attempted to take photos.

“We all tried to get it on our cell phones, and even people that were walking a dog stopped and watched it with us for a while, and pointed at it and talked about it in Spanish, and tried to take pics and vids, but because of the street lights and other stuff no one could get a good shot of it.”

The witness reported how their group felt after the UFO sighting.

“It was crazy… we were all spooked.”

In late June 2007, Britain's Mail reported that Aurigny Airlines captain Ray Bowyer, 50, flying close to Alderney first spotted a UFO, described as "a cigar-shaped brilliant white light".

The late Dr. J. Allen Hynek’s insights suggest that the New York witness might have been seeing an object or entity that was from a different dimension. However, David Icke’s and Alex Jones’ have linked some UFO sightings to holographic projections by archons and their operatives who seek to incite fear among witnesses.

Weird, New Type of UFO Spooks Texas Ranchers (Video)

A UFO video posted to YouTube shows an entirely new type of unidentified flying object which was so scary looking, it spooked the two hardscrabble ranchers witnessing and filming it. What is it?

The video, claiming to be shot at night over ranch country in Milam County, Texas, shows a spooky object hovering less than a mile from the camera.

The two unidentified ranchers are speaking casually at first as they view the flashing, cross-like object hovering silently, just visible through the treetops.

As the ranchers comment on the object, they sound increasingly scared and at the end of the clip the camera is abruptly turned off as the cameraman remarks, "I'm getting out of here."

The UFO is of a type not seen before, looking very much like a glowing gyroscope. The flashing lights seem to be obscured periodically by trees and there doesn't seem to be any engine noise making it on to the audio track.

It's not a plane, a jet or a helicopter.

So, what is it?

It seems this year's Top End UFO season has started - with the first sighting being recorded from Australia's most famous UFOlogist, Alan Ferguson.

"... While going out to check the skies like I do regularly... I saw a UFO down the back of the block," Mr Ferguson reported on his website.

The UFO hunter from Acacia Hills, 250km north of Katherine, said the sighting happened just before 8pm on Tuesday night.

"The weather was clear and there was no moon or even planes around the area," Mr Ferguson said.

"The UFO ... hover(ed) from side to side. The object looked like flashing red, green and white lights through the binoculars and you could not make out a body shape.

"It was moving side to side, up and down making no sound at all.

"Also ... around the main object there were other orbs flashing red and white at different intervals."

Mr Ferguson said his camera kept freezing, but he managed to take a couple of photos of the unidentified flying object.

The UFOlogist said he also recorded the mysterious object on film, but the UFO "just faded out" after a few minutes of filming.

"I could just see it but the detail of lights had all gone," Mr Ferguson said.

"It may have moved further away to haunt somebody else or was about to blink out as they do."

During last year's dry season several UFO sightings spooked the Top End, and the Katherine region made headlines around the world when a spate of sightings was reported.

Disc-Shaped UFO Scares Tijuana Residents

A mysterious UFO sighting last Friday had some Tijuanans wondering if their city was being visited by extraterrestrials.

The event was captured on a two-minute, 43-second video and uploaded to YouTube.

The disc-shaped object was sighted at night hovering above a mountain range for several minutes. This video could very well be a fake, but it's still compelling footage. You be the judge.

The strange disc-shaped vehicle is motionless throughout the video, and you can clearly see pulsating lights on the top and bottom of the craft. The camera operator seems very alarmed by what he is viewing, and utters expletives in English several times.

Tijuana is only 20 minutes from San Diego, home to the largest fleet of warships in the world, so people should be concerned any time there is UFO activity in this region. San Diego also hosts Marine and Coast Guard bases, as well as many defense contractors.

Despite the shakiness, the picture resolution is fairly good, and he zooms to give the viewer a better look at the UFO.

UNIDENTIFIED: Videos of possible UFO sightings have been uploaded on YouTube.

Sightings of unidentified flying objects in Rotorua skies have sparked an online discussion about paranormal activity in the Bay of Plenty.

A video uploaded to YouTube claims to have images of UFOs above Rotorua. It has had more than 131,500 hits since being uploaded by someone with the username Horsefarmer1000.

The video blurb states it was taken between 2am and 4am three weeks ago.

"Camera was pointing towards the back of the farm ... North towards the ocean ... I'm in the Rotorua Region close to Tauranga," the blurb states.

The footage has received 30 pages of comments from around the world. The uploader has also loaded several other similar videos and comments that Bay of Plenty has lots of unexplained aerial activity.

Ufocus NZ director Suzanne Hansen said it was hard to comment without talking to those who shot the video.

Ufocus is an independent UFO research network based in Tauranga and Ms Hansen said the video seemed to capture meteors.

"The larger lights are obviously closer, but the slow motion makes them look bigger than they probably are.

"They are unlikely to be aircraft landing lights as Tauranga Airport is not active at that time. I don't know what they are and would need to speak to the witness and visit the site, to get a clearer picture of the surrounding area."

Ms Hansen said although the video information labelled the UFOs as crafts, they were just unknown lights at this stage.

"Having said this, we are currently investigating sightings in areas between Tauranga and Rotorua which involve a landed object, not a conventional aircraft, objects hovering over farmland, not aircraft and a UFO sighted from an aircraft.

"These sightings are still under investigation and we cannot comment further until this is completed."

Ms Hansen said New Zealand was experiencing an upswing of sightings at present.

Amazing: 11 Year Old Boy Photographs Unbelievable UFO

I realize that we’ve done a few UFO articles this week, but I’d be derelict in my duties if I didn’t report on this one. To me, this is worth the extra coverage.

It was Sunday, May 27 when 11 year old Jack Brody was playing in the garden near his home in Loughton.

What happened next prompted Jack to take immediate action. He happen to look up and see a silvery object in the sky. Jack’s quick thinking drove him without haste as he ran into his house to get a camera.

As Jack Photographed the object, he noted no discernible sound. Also, when a plane would get near it, the glittering UFO would disappear from view.

AN 11-year-old boy has sparked debate between sky-gazers after snapping a UFO hovering over Epping Forest.

On Sunday, May 27, Jack Brody was playing in the garden of his family home in Loughton, when he noticed a tiny silver object glittering in the clear blue sky far above.

Jack ran inside, grabbed a camera and took a photograph of the object.

Jack’s father Simon, 39, said: “I got back from a walk and Jack ran up to me and said ‘you will not believe what I got a picture of.

“He pointed at this thing that was so small that you could barely see it. It was up there glimmering in the sun.

“When we zoomed in and looked at the picture closer I said to my friend, who was visiting, ‘you have to come and see this.’ “ “We just could not work out what it was. It is a kind of silver circular thing. It is very odd.

“We have heard some people say that it must be a weather balloon, but the way it moved I just don’t think it could have been.

“When a plane came close to it it was there one minute and the next minute it was not, you could not hear it fly off, you just could not see it again.

“It is funny, committed UFO spotters who spend years trying to get pictures would not be able to get one that is that good.”

In the photo above, I did a little manipulation as I blew it up and did some balancing. It seems it didn’t help as it tends to make the object less recognizable. However, I thought it couldn’t hurt to throw it in.

Is it my imagination, or does it look like there’s a glowing sphere in the center of this object?

This is one of the most unique UFOs I’ve seen so far this year and I can honestly say that I have no idea what’s going on with this one. Could it be that Jack and/or his father are pulling a fast one? I don’t get that feeling with this incident.

UFOs Exist, Say 36 Percent in National Geographic Survey

If you believe in UFOs, you may be in better company than you think.

Thirty-six percent of Americans -- about 80 million people if the survey applied to the whole country -- believe UFOs exist, and a tenth believe they have spotted one, a new National Geographic poll shows.

Seventeen percent said they did not believe in UFOs, or Unidentified Flying Objects, and nearly half of those surveyed said they were unsure. Perhaps reflective of today's political climate, there appears to be near-universal skepticism of government — nearly four-fifths of respondents said they believe the government has concealed information about UFOs from the public.

The study, commissioned in anticipation of National Geographic Channel's "Chasing UFOs" series premiering Friday night, was not all serious, said Brad Dancer, National Geographic's senior vice president for audience and business development. Respondents were asked whether President Barack Obama or Republican challenger Mitt Romney would handle an alien invasion better (Obama won 65 percent in that contest) and which superhero they would call in to fight off the attack (the Hulk beat out Batman and Spider-Man).

"We were trying to have a little fun and see if pop culture references have had an impact on people's beliefs," Dancer said. "It's intended as a fun survey of public opinion."

Hollywood, he added, may have contributed to the belief — held by 55 percent of Americans, according to the study — that Men in Black-style agents threaten people who report UFO sightings. As movies portraying aliens become increasingly convincing, they may subconsciously affect people's attitudes, he said.

A growing number of Americans have come to believe that Earth is not the only planet in the universe hosting life, he said. The study showed that 77 percent of Americans believe there are signs that aliens have visited Earth.

While the study may be used as ammunition by the vocal minority of UFO enthusiasts, Dancer said that it leaves open the precise definition of the term UFO.

"UFO doesn't necessarily mean alien spacecraft," he said. "There are things that are unexplained. They're interesting because they're unknown. People love a mystery."

The study, conducted by the polling firm Kelton Research, found that more Americans believe "The X-Files" best represented what would happen if aliens invaded Earth than any other movie.

The study, in which a random sample of 1,114 Americans 18 and over was surveyed, also asked what respondents would do if aliens visited Earth. Nearly a quarter said they would try to befriend the extraterrestrials, 13 percent said they would lock themselves indoors, and just one in 20 said they would "try to inflict bodily harm."

Those numbers did not surprise longtime UFO investigator David MacDonald, director of the non-profit Mutual UFO Network, who said the idea of contact with extraterrestrials has become commonplace in the last few decades.

"We have grown up with 'Star Trek,' 'Star Wars' and 'Battlestar Galactica,'" MacDonald said. "We're at the point where we'd say 'What planet are you from? Oh well, let's have a beer.'"

An evening of UFOs: Huge sighting on night of UFO conference...coin...

June 23, 2012, was an out-of-this-world evening at Toronto's UFO Conference, hosted by George Noory of "Coast to Coast" on AM640, was attended by hundreds of people from all walks of life, as interest in the fascinating subject of UFOs skyrockets. I was invited to attend Conspiracy Culture's Special Event by a gentleman from MUFON who had commented on one of my UFO articles, and with whom I had numerous conversations on Facebook and over the telephone regarding his own experiences with UFO's. Wearing my reporter's hat, but also with the wide-eyed enthusiasm of a novice, I had been anticipating this event for weeks, and was excited to learn more about the truth that is "out there."

Michael Cremo and Stanton T. Friedman, both renowned authors and specialists on the subject of UFOlogy, turned out to be down-to-earth, brilliant, and fascinating speakers, however for me the most enjoyable part was when at the end of their sessions they answered questions from audience members. The most striking aspect of the evening was the fact that hundreds of apparently "normal" people were talking on this once scoffed-at subject without apology.

The general feeling in the auditorium, as evidenced by the speakers and the questioners, was that we all know perfectly well that the extraterrestrial visitors are here visiting planet Earth. The question is, "When will this be revealed to us in full?" Disclosure - the grand reveal - was the hottest topic of the night, with great emphasis on the role of governments in suppressing this vital information.

Indeed, Stanton T. Friedman, as the original civilian investigator of the Roswell Incident who is privy to a great deal of information regarding the legendary cover-up of that incident, wrote about this subject in detail in his book "Top Secret/Majic," regarding the Majestic 12 group which was established in 1947 to deal with alien technology.

After the lectures and discussion period the authors signed books for fans, and a long line-up of excited enthusiasts waited patiently to take their turn to chat with these pioneers of the field. Many of us gathered outside to enjoy the balmy evening breeze and to mingle. I met some fascinating folk, including an astrologer, a Russian orthodox priest, and a woman who was very concerned about chemtrails.

While we were there, we laughingly spoke of how great it would be to have a visit from a UFO while this group was gathered. A discussion regarding the possibility of summoning a UFO followed, and I remember exclaiming to the skies, "Come on up there - please give us a fly-over!"

On the way home my friend Michael told me more of his theory - one that he and I have discussed before - regarding the appearance of UFO's, and whether or not we had the ability to "call" one. He has had numerous experiences that have led him to this possibility, and I told him of two gentlemen I had seen on YouTube who can do just that. We hypothesized that since the extra-terrestrial people could have the ability to read our minds, possibly they might appear to people who ask them to.

Having recently been witness to many strange objects flying about the skies over my house of late, I was excited to get up north to my house far out of the city lights, where we might be graced with the sight of one of those strange "light orbs" I had been seeing flying around of late.

I led Michael to the middle of my large backyard, and turned and faced the house. I had told him and my Facebook group friends all about the lights in the sky I had been seeing. One of the tendencies we have as humans is to doubt anything unless we witnessed it ourselves, and so of course I knew that Michael, especially as he is with MUFON and approaches everything with a more scientific eye than some, would most likely regard this proliferation of sightings I was describing with some skepticism. For all he knew, I was prone to exaggeration.

I was hoping very much something would appear that night.

I pointed up to the sky expansively, my hand towards the Western night sky, where a sprinkling of stars were visible through dissipating clouds.

"Look up" I announced with more confidence than I actually felt. "I guarantee within five minutes you'll see something!"

I looked at Michael and smiled, feeling a little sheepish, thinking great now nothing will happen.

Then suddenly, in my peripheral vision I saw a flash, saw it reflected in his eyes from the sky in the West where he was still looking, saw the expression change on his face.

He pointed up to where I had just pointed and exclaimed. "Look!"

There was something up there. Something big. The flash was over, but I saw the tail end of it.

Then came another one. A bright, blinding flash.

Lasted about four seconds from beginning to end, as had the first, even bigger one.

This time I saw it full on, and it looked as though something large and circular was blocking a part of it.

A smattering of smaller flashes from the general vicinity...as though something was now moving away from us? We looked at each other stunned. Incredulous.

"I should have said within five seconds not minutes, I guess!" I laughed.

Michael filed the formal report to MUFON this week.

We plan on conducting further research and investigation into this phenomena in the upcoming weeks.

Kathleen Dyke says she is dumbfounded by a series of mysterious red lights she saw hovering in the sky near her home in Wabush around 11:45 p.m. on July 1.

Dyke and her husband were in their backyard checking to see if a neighbour's attempts to set off Canada Day fireworks had succeeded.

The couple noticed a red light moving silently across the sky.

"The red light came over my neighbour's house, proceeded at a level height, we watched it," recounted Dyke. "Then it turned, it didn't go up, it didn't go down, it went straight out and disappeared."

As that light disappeared, the Dykes spotted another red light, moving in the same manner. Within the span of 15 minutes, Dyke said she and her husband counted seven red lights, all following the same pattern.

Dyke lives near the Wabush airport, and she said she's used to the sounds and lights associated with airport traffic. But the July 1 sighting did not resemble anything she has ever seen before.

"It's the strangest thing we ever saw."

Dyke and her husband took photos and video of the lights. They're hoping to compare their experience with other witnesses to see if anyone can come up with an explanation for the red objects.

Teen claims video shows UFO over New Freedom

NEW FREEDOM, Pa. (WHTM) -

A York County teen says he saw something that can't be explained while he was at the New Freedom carnival Thursday night.

Alex Martin says he saw two bright orange lights, whipped out his cell phone and recorded it, then posted the video on YouTube. He's convinced his dark and grainy video is evidence of UFO's.

"It wasn't like coming over the trees or anything, it just appeared right there in the sky," he said.

Alex is 19, a physics major at Duquesne University, and an Eagle Scout who loves astronomy and science fiction. He wrote his first sci-fi novel at 15 and, yes, he wrote about aliens.

"I have a history of science fiction. I know that's what it looks like, but this is something I have not seen before at all," he said. "To me, the universe is infinite, so to think we're the only ones here is just not in my thinking."

Martin said a friend was with him and saw the lights, but doesn't see the light when it comes to UFO's. She's skeptical.

Consider the police officially skeptical. The Southern Regional Police Department is next to the carnival grounds and had patrol officers there all night. They said it was a slow evening and no one reported seeing any UFO's.

But Martin is sticking to his story and his video. He said the lights couldn't have been from the carnival because it was too far away, and it couldn't have been a plane because it hovered. He says the lights were about a mile out and thousand feet up. Maybe he's got material for his next book.
