Sinkhole Incidents On the Rise

"Stretch zones primarily experience sinking ground, as the support in the rock strata is stretched thin. Thus, buildings implode and gas and water mains break."  ZetaTalk

What happens to rock layers under a diagonal pull, or being pulled apart? As can be seen during recent years, this has resulted in derailing trains, sinkholes suddenly appearing, gas and water main breaks, torn roadways and separating bridges. Despite the effect on man, crawling about on the surface of what they assume to be terra firma, these changes are superficial. When the pulling starts, weak points break and thereafter the plumbing and roadways hold, giving the impression that the pulling has stopped, but this is misleading. The North American continent is giving evidence that its rock layers are separating from each other, and sliding sideways in a diagonal, thus exposing portions of these layers to vent into the air above. If rock is being stressed, then where are the earthquake predictors giving evidence of this, the frantic animals, the static on the radio, the earthquake swarms? Rock in the stretch zone, pulling apart rather than compressing, does not emit the particles flows that animals and radios sense, nor register on instruments are tension and release quakes.

"We have repeatedly stated that the Earth changes will not diminish, but will increase going into the pole shift.

This is not a lineal matter, as the closer Planet X comes to Earth, an inevitable path, the more the torque effect and the polar wobble where the N Pole of Earth is pushed away violently on a daily basis, occur. The wobble will become more pronounced, more violent. The plates are tugged back West of the Atlantic, pulled forward East of the Atlantic, during the daily rotation of the Earth. The North American continent is allowed to roll East during rotation while the S Pole is pulled West, creating the diagonal pull likely to trigger the New Madrid fault line into an adjustment, and soon. The N Pole is pushed away and allowed to bounce back, daily, as the Earth rotates, a wobble that puts stress on all fault lines when the plates are suddenly in motion, and suddenly stopped!

"As there is no other explanation for the effect on the stretch zone, lacking any earthquakes to blame, and as these stretch zone accidents will continue to emerge, and with ferocity, this is a certain clue to those on the fence, that the influence of Planet X is the cause. Or is it Global Warming?"

ZetaTalk Chat Q&A for April 13, 2013

"Sinkholes almost invariably form in areas subject to karst limestone cavern formation. Underground water flows eat away the limestone leaving vast caverns and caves, which often give scant indication above ground that a cavern lies below. Karst limestone rock formations have been mapped and are known, however, but since one never knows just where a cavern might have formed, this provides little help in predicting just where a sinkhole might form. Sinkholes open up when the rock is fractured due to stress from being in the stretch zone, from the bending of a plate, or due to torsion."

Logan County family finds hole in farm field 40 feet deep.

    May 7, 2018

A Logan County family made an interesting discovery in one of their farm fields this past week in preparation for planting.

15-year-old Lucas Yoesting was riding his dirt bike on his family’s rural-Zanesfield property when he noticed a large hole in one of the fields.

Further inspection later in the week by Sunny and Tracy Yoesting found the hole to be much more than collapsed field tile. It had grown in size and by Wednesday, measured approximately 12 feet in diameter and is now noted as 40-50 feet in depth.

“It goes straight down,” said Sunny Yoesting. “You can see and hear the water below running. We were pretty alarmed.”

The Yoestings turned to social media for help after local authorities didn’t have experience on the matter. They have so far found assistance in the Logan County Engineer’s Office, who measured the sinkhole.

Tunnel Collapses in Arkansas Tourist Town

A tunnel has collapsed underneath a parking lot in a popular tourist town in the Arkansas Ozarks.

    June 7, 2018, at 4:47 p.m

EUREKA SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) — A tunnel has collapsed underneath a parking lot in a popular tourist town in the Arkansas Ozarks.

The hole in Eureka Springs was about 20 feet (6.1 meters) deep as of Wednesday, after workers removed the asphalt "crust" covering the sinkhole, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported.

"I know (bystanders are) curious, but we have to protect them from themselves," said John Cross, who owns the parking lot. "One of our concerns is someone was going to get over there on the crust of this thing, and it was just going to give way."

Sinkholes are fairly common along the major street the parking lot sits on. The street runs along the eastern branch of Leatherwood Creek, which flows for about 1,500 feet (457 meters) through a tunnel underneath buildings and parking lots.

"It's a storm sewer collapse," Cross said. "Our storm sewer in Eureka Springs is creaky. Some of it is good, but most of it is not."

There have been five tunnel excavation and repair projects along the street in the past decade, said Dwayne Allen, the city's public works director.

"Please note Eureka Springs is still safe to visit, and we have not lost any lives or vehicles," he said.

Allen said something like a reinforced concrete box should be installed in the hole under Cross' parking lot, with pavement applied on top of it.

Cross said he'll pay the initial cost to repair the tunnel, but then he plans to request reimbursement from the city.

"All the storm sewers are the city's property no matter where you go," he said. "Any engineer would say it's a city problem. Why would a landowner be responsible for all the water coming off a mountain?"

Mayor Robert Berry said tunnels on private property are landowners' responsibility. Cross has owned the parking lot since 1977.

Rare river sinkhole created whirlpool, led to man's death

     https://newsok.com/article/5597799/rare-river-sinkhole-created-whir...

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — A kayaker bypassed a part of an Arkansas scenic river known as Dead Man's Curve during a weekend trip, but a rare sinkhole created a whirlpool along his alternate channel and dragged him to his death.

Donald Wright, 64, from Searcy, Arkansas, died Saturday at Saddler Falls along the Spring River, said Keith Stephens, a spokesman for the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. At least one other person was injured.

Sinkholes are common in the northern half of Arkansas, where subterranean limestone erodes away easily. Small whirlpools are common where bits of land extend into waterways, but having a sinkhole open a whirlpool in the middle of a stream is uncommon.

"I've been here for 40 years. This is the first one I've ever heard forming in a river like this," said Bill Prior, a geologist supervisor at the Arkansas Geological Survey.

Massive Sinkhole in Rockingham County; Officials Say It'll Take Weeks to Fix

The Bridge Department was called to Webb Road around 4:00 p.m. Thursday to block off the road because of the potential dangers of the massive sinkhole.

MADISON, N.C. -- WFMY came across a huge sinkhole on Webb Road near Madison.

The Bridge Department was called to Webb Road around 4:00 p.m. Thursday to block off the road because of the potential dangers of the massive sinkhole.

Officials with the Bridge Department said three pipes under the road that are supposed to help carry water could not handle the pressure of an abundance of water from severe weather. The pipes cracked under the pressure, and the road was swept away in flood waters.

James Tilley has lived on Webb Road since 1979, and he said he hasn't seen anything like this in decades.

“In the early 80’s the state department of engineering said they was gonna take the bridge out, which they did, and they put three pipes in which was gonna carry the water," Tilley said. "Well you can see where the pipes are now and where the road is - it didn’t work.”

The department says it expects even more of the road to collapse because it has numerous cracks in it. They say it'll take weeks to fix. A portion of Webb Road will be closed because of it. Webb road is a residential area but luckily, there are no homes within the portion that's blocked off. Still, its an inconvenience according to those who live there.

"It'll take me longer to get where I need to go," Tilley said.

A farm right across the sinkhole on Webb Road is also suffering. Moses Sharpe's family tends to the tobacco farm and he said the rain and subsequent flooding has been devastating.

“They’ve been tending this they’re whole life and to have it destroyed in the matter of a night is mind blowing,” Sharpe said.

Sharpe said he estimates they lost $100,000 dollars worth because of flooding.
