JUST IN - Massive fire erupts after train carrying ethanol derails in Tepetitlán, Mexico, November 1, 2025 VIDEO: https://t.me/ZetaTalk_Followers/78651 Planet X was described as affecting the Earth from afar, like tugging on the edge of a spider web where the effects are felt elsewhere on the web; in this way there has been an increase in earthquakes and unpredictable weather going back years, even before Planet X entered the solar system, due to the increased swirling of the Earth’s core. It is therefore logical that an increase in train derailments would accompany any increase in seismic activity – train tracks need to be straight and even the slightest shift to the side of a section of track would cause a train to derail. The area most affected by train derailments is the stretch zone. Stretch zone quakes are silent, and people are generally unaware anything is happening, although signs such as booms and trumpet sounds can occur. This zone stretches from Western Europe across the Eurasian Plate, and also includes the South-East United States, the St. Lawrence Seaway, the Red Sea and the African Rift. In other parts of the world, shifting ground is more associated with earthquakes that people are aware of, such as the Pacific which is compressing, so authorities inspect railway tracks after any seismic activity, reducing the likelihood of accidents. |

Cleanup Continues of Derailed Coal Train
It happened Tuesday afternoon along Highway 71 in Ashdown in Little River County, Arkansas.
Little River County first responder Tim Stinnett was traveling on U.S.Highway 71 when he witnessed cars from a Kansas City Southern train derail.
"I saw coal cars flying and a big cloud of black coal smoke," Stinnett recalls.
Around 4:00 Tuesday afternoon, 33 cars loaded with tons of coal left the tracks just south of Ashdown. It was a close call for a motorist approaching the rail road crossing at Little River County Road 23.
"There was a lady in a car at the crossing and she saw the train beginning to shake and she backed away in a hurry and fortunately she got away from it," says Don Hale, with Little River Emergency Management office.
One man received minor injuries after being hit in the face with flying coal. "And the guy blue pickup was black and he was covered in coal dust," Hale says.
Wednesday, workers were busy trying to clean the mess left behind and get rail traffic back and running through Little River County. Kansas City Southern officials will not say what caused the derailment, but Little River authorities are just glad this train was only crying coal.
"It was something like you see off the movie I have never witness one before and I really don't want to witness another," Stinnett says.
Last year, Kansas City Southern had another train derail less than five miles from this site. No one was injured in that incident.

Ind. Railroad coal train derails near Bloomington
2:30 p.m. CDT, July 10, 2011
No one's been hurt in the second Indiana train derailment in five days.
Nearly 30 cars of an Indiana Railroad train derailed Sunday afternoon near Bloomington.
Chief Deputy Mike Pershing of the Monroe County Sheriff's Department told WRTV-TV that the train's engineer told him that heat probably played a role in the derailment because extreme heat makes the steel tracks expand and contract. Temperatures in the area were in the upper 80s at the time.
The derailment left coal dumped across the tracks.
Sixteen cars of a CSX freight train derailed Wednesday at a trestle over the Big Blue River about 20 miles southeast of Indianapolis. No one was injured in that incident.

The death toll in Sunday's derailment of Delhi-bound Kalka Mail here rose to 68 today with rescuers pulling out 30 more bodies, including that of two Swedish nationals, from the mangled compartments of the ill-fated train.
Two-fifty-nine people were injured in the incident and they have admitted to various hospitals in this district in Uttar Pradesh and in Kanpur even as rescuers pulled out more people from the train.
"Sixty-eight bodies have been recovered so far. 259 people are undergoing treatment at a hospital here," Fatehpur Superintendent of Police Ram Bharose said. The deceased include 14 women.
Sandeep Mathur, chief public relations officer of north central railway, said in Allahabad that two Swedish nationals were among the dead.
While one Swedish national has been identified as Wick from the statement of his injured compatriot Oscar, who was also travelling with him, the identity of the other is yet to be ascertained.
The derailment took place at 12.20 pm yesterday when the packed train from Howrah reached near Malwa station, nearly 120 kms from Lucknow. The train was moving at a speed of 108 km/hour.
Rescue operations continued through the night to extricate the trapped passengers and bodies from the badly damaged AC and other compartments.
A special train that left Kanpur carrying 167 passengers of the ill-fated train reached New Delhi this morning.
Over 24 hours after the incident, railway authorities are yet to ascertain the exact cause of the worst-ever accident this year.
At the accident site, railway board chairman Vinay Mittal said by tomorrow morning, the Howrah-Delhi route should be cleared off.
He said an inquiry by the chief commissioner of railway safety (Lucknow) Prashant Kumar has been ordered into the incident.
Mittal said there was no fault in the track and the cabinman had told him that when the train was close to pole number 927/23, its engine started shaking and emitting smoke, after which the mishap took place.
Railway officials said that the work of clearing the tracks at Malwa, the accident site, was in full swing.
Out of the 63 bodies, only 21 have been identified, Bharose said.
According to preliminary investigations, the signals were functioning normally and the fish plates on the tracks were intact, Mittal said.
While some of the bogies had toppled, others were turned into a mangled heap of metal. Gas cutters and other equipment were used to slice through the metal in the AC and other coaches to rescue the trapped passengers.

Wakefield, Quebec steam train off rails for good?
by admin on July 6, 2011
The late June storm took out several portions of the rail bed, like this spot in Chelsea, Quebec's Gleneagle
There are rumours floating around that the Wakefield, Quebec steam train may not roll again this year–or ever, but the owner of the locomotive is remaining tight lipped about its future until he and the owners of the track, the Compagnie de chemin de fer de l’Outaouais (CCFO) know how much damage the rails took in the wicked weekend storm at the end of June.
“As far as we know, we have to get an evaluation to see how much damage there is,” said Andre Groulx, owner of the H.C.W. Steam Train when asked if it could be off the rails for good.
“I think we will have to wait and see. It all depends on the cost of repairing the track, which we don’t own.”
The June 24-25 storm that saw torrential rain pummel the Hills for nearly 24 hours, took out several sections of the railway’s foundation in Chelsea and Gatineau and owners really have no idea how much other damage was caused along the rail bed. Groulx said he has been told that engineers should have a clear sense of the extent in the next few days, but even he thinks it will take longer.
When asked if he would sell the train if a serious buyer came along, he said, “buy a train to go where?” suggesting that track repairs may prove too costly for the 18-year family business to continue.
The loss of the train for the year could be a thorn for some small business in the village and Groulx understands how its absence could affect the local economy.
“The sad thing about this is that it has a consequence for the whole village, the hotels, the restaurants,” he said.
“It’s a real bummer for everybody.”
CCFO President Louise Boudrias is optimistic about the tourist train’s future in the Gatineau Hills and hopes it could be back on the track in August, but she also needs to know how damaged the route is.
“It’s really too early to be able to say,” she told the Low Down.
“We are still hoping for August.”
Until an assessment is done on the tracks, the train’s future is up in the air.

BLENCOE, Iowa - Union Pacific officials are investigating a train derailment that forced the closure of a road along the border of southern Monona County.
Union Pacific Spokesman Mark Davis said the incident happened about 4:10 p.m. Tuesday on a stretch of track near Blencoe, Iowa.
He said 13 cars that derailed were from a train hauling coal from Wyoming to Sergeant Bluff, Iowa.
According to the Monona County Sheriff's Office, the incident started about 200 years south of 110th Street in Harrison County, Iowa.
Davis said crews worked into the night Tuesday and all day Wednesday to put the cars back on the tracks, clean up the spilled coal and begin rebuilding about 800 feet of tracks damaged by the derailment.
The railroad's investigators have not yet determined what caused the incident, Davis said.
An official with the Monona County Sheriff's Office said 340th Street was still closed as of Wednesday afternoon.

Red Line, Metra hit by heat, derailment
(Crain's) — Heat has hampered the Red Line and a Metra collision with a car that left two people dead will create delays for commuter using both services.
The Chicago Transit Authority said excessive heat has created a problem in the Red Line rail and repairs will force trains to operate on single track between the Cermak-Chinatown and the Sox-35th stops. The repairs are expected to be complete by Thursday evening.
The CTA will offer a bus shuttle between its Roosevelt and 47th Street stations that will stop at each Red Line station.
Metra officials said a commuter train heading into Chicago has derailed in suburban Oak Forest killing two people. The incident, which happened around 4 p.m., involved a car, a Metra spokeswoman said. She said there were injuries to train passengers, but they don't appear life threatening. It wasn't immediately clear whether those killed were in the car involved.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's office wouldn't provide any additional information about the fatalities.
The train was carrying 89 passengers who have been evacuated to cooling buses. The temperature in the suburb about 25 miles southwest of Chicago was more than 100 degrees on Thursday.
The train left Joliet at 3:25 p.m. and was due into downtown Chicago at 4:33 p.m. Reile says the front car of the train derailed slightly and traffic was stopped in both directions.
Oak Forest fire and police officials declined to comment.

Train derailment causes week-long delays
Published: 25 Jul 11 08:29 CET |
A train derailed just south of Tanum in Bohuslän in western Sweden on Sunday, causing disruption to services which is expected to continue until at least Friday.
Nobody was injured in the accident as the northbound train left the tracks, but there has been substantial damage along a stretch of about 100 metres.
Clearing the area of the train and other debris is expected to take until at least Friday, causing disruption to services in the region, according to a statement from the National Transport Administration (Trafikverket).
"Salvage work is complicated and it might take all week, according to the latest forecast," said Lennart Helsing at the agency.
"The train is standing so badly that it is blocking the oncoming tracks. There is therefore a complete stoppage in train services," Helsing said.
The cause of the derailment remains unclear with the train travelling at low speed and left blocking the tracks in the southbound direction.
"We don't yet know if the fault was with the train or the track," Helsing said.
Trains will be replaced by buses until traffic is resumed.

Two freight wagons derail
Two wagons on a south-bound freight train derailed near Oaro, south of Kaikoura, about 8.15am today.
KiwiRail spokeswoman Cathie Bell said a bearing collapsed in one of the wagons, causing the boogie to fall on the track.
That pulled off another wagon as well.
Both wagons remained upright, but a crane was needed to lift them to repair the damaged boogie. She expected the tracks to be cleared later today.
The train was travelling at a reduced speed because repairs had recently been carried out in the area.

Train derails in Waterford
July 27, 2011
Special to The News and Sentinel
WATERFORD-Both lanes of Ohio 339 were closed to traffic for several hours Tuesday night after 15 fully loaded CSX coal cars derailed at a Waterford rail crossing.
The derailment occurred around 5:30 p.m., according to Lt. Mary Pfeifer, commander of the Ohio State Highway Patrol's Marietta post.
"No one was injured and none of the cars overturned, and there were no hazardous materials involved," she said. "The cars were loaded with coal headed for (American Electric Power's Muskingum River plant)."
Pfeifer said the main concern Tuesday evening was keeping unnecessary traffic out of the area until Ohio 339 could be reopened.
Local passenger vehicles were detoured around the Ohio 339 railroad crossing via Main Street in Waterford, but Pfeifer said tractor-trailer rigs and other larger vehicles on 339 would have to either turn around or wait until the rail crossing could be cleared.
The state route was still closed at 10 p.m. Tuesday awaiting CSX equipment that had to be brought in from Huntington to move the cars from the tracks.
The derailed cars appeared to have run off the tracks at the intersection with Sunset Lane, a street with no outlet about 100 yards north of Ohio 339.
Rita Burchett, who lives on Marquis Avenue off of Sunset Lane, witnessed the derailment from her home west of the tracks.
"I could see the coal cars starting to lean over, then some of them just went off the tracks," she said. "Nothing like this has ever happened before, but it's been a concern in this neighborhood for some time.
"We have a lot of older people, some with heart problems," Burchett said. "But how could an ambulance get through here?"
Her neighbor, Donna Phillips, said she can't walk far due to a heart ailment.
"Trains come through here about twice a day, and this is something we just knew would happen sooner or later," she said. "We really need some kind of other access road."
One local official said a helicopter would likely have to be used to access the neighborhood in case of a major emergency during the derailment.
Pfeifer said CSX officials would determine the cause of the derailment.

Quetta-bound train derails in bomb attack
QUETTA: A Quetta-bound passenger train was attacked with a remote controlled bomb near Dera Allah Yar on Friday, about 400 kilometres from Quetta. The bomb explosion derailed the locomotive and four carriages. However, no one was hurt in the attack, a senior district police officer said. The outlawed Baloch Republic Army (BRA) claimed responsibility for the attack. “Such attacks will continue in future,” the spokesperson of BRA told reporters over the telephone. According to district police officer Javed Gharshen, a passenger train, Bolan Mail, was on its way to Quetta from Karachi when it came under attack near Marri Farm Tentaged village area in Dera Allah Yar, district headquarters of Jaffarabad. The explosion destroyed 30 feet of railway tracks and derailed the locomotive and three bogies of the train. “It was a remote controlled blast aimed at the Bolan Mail,” said Gharshin. According to railway officer Nazir Ahmed, around 30 to 35 feet railway track was completely destroyed and 345 feet of railway track was damaged in the explosion. He said that the rail service between Quetta and the rest of the country was suspended soon after the blast. “Repair work to the damaged track has begun and the rail service will likely be restored by late Friday night. The passengers were transported to Dera Murad Jamali after the incident,” he added. No case was registered till the filing of this report. staff report

Derailed train causes chaos
July 29 2011 at 12:02pm
INLSA
A train derailed outside Bellville station this morning caused delays for commuters.
STAFF REPORTERS
COMMUTERS on the city’s northern railway lines were plunged into chaos this morning when a train carriage derailed outside Bellville and an overhead power failure near Kraaifontein stopped trains in their tracks.
Metrorail regional manager Lindelo Matya said the carriage had been empty and the driver had not been injured, but the incident had rendered two northern service corridors “inoperable”.
Trains were unable to run from Strand and Bishop Lavis to Bellville.
A third line serving Kraaifontein was also out of operation because of an overhead power line failure at Huguenot station.
Matya said that while a bus had been arranged to transport commuters between Paarl and Wellington, there were not enough available buses for the other routes affected by the derailment and power failure.
“We have no option but to advise customers to make alternative travel arrangements. We realise the extent of their inconvenience and we are working as fast as we possibly can to clear the affected lines.”
Matya said Transnet Freight Rail was working to restore the overhead power so that the service on the Kraaifontein corridor could be restored.
He asked employers to be lenient with employees affected by the disruptions. By 8am today, traffic along the N1 and main roads in the northern suburbs was heavily congested as a result of the train service disruptions.
Stranded commuters streamed from stations into the streets to try to get a taxi or a bus.
Those who had travelled to their nearest station by car and parked there appeared to be back on the roads to make their way to work.
“Everything coming from Somerset West and the Bellville area has been affected and, apart from more vehicles, there are also lots of people on the streets,” said Kevin Jacobs, Cape Town traffic spokesman.
“The main roads are heavily congested. I am driving through Kuils River and it is very busy on the road here at the moment,” he said this morning.

Screen grab from Rustavi 2 TV footage showing derailed cars from the incident site on July 30 close to Mtskheta.
Cargo train hauling over dozen of cars, carrying fuel and other types of products, derailed close to Mtskheta, a small town outside Tbilisi on July 30, an emergency service official said.
Ten rail cars, including those carrying fuel, have left the track and overturned as a result of the incident in which no one was injured, Nodar Chumbadze, an official from the emergency services management agency, told Rustavi 2 TV.
Fuel was spilled, he said, and to prevent fire the incident site was filled with foam by fire fighting teams. Fuel also spilled over on a section of the main east-west highway, running close to the site where the derailment occurred, disrupting movement on the highway too.
According to preliminary information one of the rail cars was “technically faulty” which caused the derailment, Irma Stepnadze, a spokesperson for the state-run Georgian Railway, told Civil.ge.
She said that the freight train was carrying cargo belonging to various firms, including from Georgia, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.
The derailment will cause at least two hour delays in schedule of passenger trains, planning to head from Tbilisi to the western part of the country, according to the Georgian Railway.

EUNICE CITY, La. — Ever since a string of train cars derailed in 2000, dumping hazardous materials and chemicals into the bayous and Eunice City Lake, lots of folks have been turned off of fishing.
Although lake fish are safe to eat, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries says fears about contamination have prompted them to use $1 million in money left over from federal court proceedings against Union Pacific Railroad to drain the lake and remove all the fish. It will then be restocked with bass, bluegill, red-ear sunfish and sac-a-lait.
Thirty-three cars of an eastbound Union Pacific train derailed northwest of Eunice on a bridge crossing a tributary to Bayou Des Cannes. Fifteen cars contained hazardous materials and chemicals and two rail cars exploded.

1 killed as train derails, hits another
One person was killed and several were injured when the Bengaluru-bound Guwahati-Bangalore Express and the Azimgunj Fast Passenger collided between Jamirghata and Gourghata stations in Malda district of West Bengal around 7:10 pm on Sunday evening.
According to Railway Authorities, six coaches, including the engine, of the Bangalore-bound train derailed and moved to the parallel tracks, where they were hit by the passenger train coming from the opposite direction.
The derailed coaches of the Bengaluru-bound train, which left Guwahati at 6:30 am on Sunday, included two parcel bogies and a general compartment. The two parcel bogies fell into a ditch after the impact.
“A major disaster has been averted. One bogie of the Azimgunj passenger climbed over another another bogie. So far one person has died. The number of deaths can increase,” Sabina Yeasmin, Minister of State for Labour, who is overseeing rescue operations, told The Indian Express over the phone.

One killed, 50 hurt in Bengal train accident
Kolkata: At least one person was killed and 50 were injured when 11 bogies of Guwahati-Bengaluru Express and a passenger train derailed after a collision this evening at Jamirghata in West Bengal's Malda district.
Malda GRP sources said one passenger was killed and 50 were injured.
Railway spokesperson Anil Kumar Saxena said the body of an elderly woman was found near the derailed engine of the Guwahati-Bengaluru Express.
The accident occurred between Gour Malda and Jamirghata stations in Malda division of Eastern Railway at 19:05 hours.
Two bogies and the engine of the Guwahati-Bengaluru Express, which was on its way to the southern city, derailed first and were hit by the Azimganj-Malda Town Passenger leading to further derailment of bogies of both the trains, Railway sources said.
While six coaches - three sleeper class, two parcel and one luggage - and the engine of Guwahati-Bengaluru Express derailed, three general bogies and the engine of the passenger train also derailed, they said.
The passenger train was coming from the opposite direction on the second line when the driver applied emergency brakes after seeing the derailed coaches but could not stop it from brushing the coaches.
The accident has affected train services on Malda route with seven trains cancelled.
Helplines have been set up at Howrah (033-26411416), Malda (03512-283444) and Rampurhat (03461-255131) rail stations for the public.
Senior Eastern Railways officials are supervising rescue operation at the scene.
Local villagers immediately came to the accident spot and ferried the injured to clinics and hospitals.
Saptarshi Deb, a passenger on the Express train, said that he came out of the emergency exit after the accident.
Deb said that he heard screams of trapped passengers and saw some passengers with head injuries.

Train derailment in eastern India kills one
KOLKATA, India -- Officials say a train accident in eastern India has caused one fatality and at least several injured.
Barun Bharadwaj, a senior railway official, said the accident occurred late Sunday near Malda, 185 miles (300 kilometers) northeast of Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal.
He said that three coaches and the engine of the Gauhati-Bangalore express derailed and were thrown into the path of the oncoming Azimganj express.
Earlier this month at least 68 people were killed when a packed passenger train derailed in north India.
India's railroad network is one of the largest in the world and carries about 14 million passengers each day. Accidents are common, with most blamed on poor maintenance and human error.

Normal service restored on Blue Line after derailment near O’Hare
SUN-TIMES MEDIA WIRE August 2, 2011 5:27PM
A woman was hospitalized and Blue Line service near O’Hare Airport was disrupted for more than five hours after a train car derailed near the airport station Tuesday afternoon.
The Blue Line train was leaving the O’Hare station when it derailed at 4:47 p.m. while going through an interlocking switch, CTA spokeswoman Catherine Hosinski said.
Fire Media Affairs Director Larry Langford said the derailment happened in a tunnel about 1,000 feet from the station.
One woman suffered a minor shoulder injury and was taken to an area hospital for treatment, Langford said. No other injuries were reported.
Passengers were safely escorted off the train and back to the O’Hare station platform, Hosinski said.
The CTA offered a shuttle bus between the Rosemont and O’Hare stations after the incident, Hosinski said. By 7:30 p.m., Blue Line trains were running on a single track between the Rosemont and O’Hare stations.
Normal service was restored about 10:15 p.m., she said.

Train carrying ethanol derails leading to evacuations
By Brian Ojanpa Free Press Staff Writer
EAGLE LAKE — Four Canadian Pacific eastbound rail cars carrying ethanol went off their tracks in Eagle Lake about 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, prompting the evacuation of 320 nearby residents.
“There was no leaking. We did that as a precautionary measure,” Eagle Lake Mayor Tim Auringer said.
Canadian Pacific spokesman Mike Lovecchio said the derailment along Highway 14 on the northeast edge of town involved no injuries and the cause has yet to be determined.
The Salvation Army and the Red Cross set up an emergency shelter center at the Eagle Lake American Legion, but Auringer said Wednesday night that most of those evacuated had found lodging in Mankato motels or with friends and relatives.
He said about 60 housing units — townhomes and single-family residences — were affected and Canadian Pacific personnel would be draining the cars of ethanol overnight.
He said residents would be allowed back into their homes sometime today.

CSX train derails in Oldham County
12:56 PM, Aug. 5, 2011 | 7 Comments
Derailment crews are working on the clean up of nine derailed freight cars – one of which is an upright tanker of hydrogen peroxide – behind Northland Corp., according to CSX officials.
There were no injuries, and the derailment produced no leaks or hazards to the surrounding area, CSX spokeswoman Carla Groleau said.
Four of the nine cars are lying on their side, and the other five are upright, Groleau said.
“Derailing doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re knocked over. They’re just knocked off track,” Groleau said.
The mixed-freight train was carrying scrap , rocks and the one tanker with hydrogen peroxide. Many of the cars were empty, Groleau said.
The derailment, called in to Oldham County dispatch shortly after midnight Friday morning, was in a wooded area behind Northland Corp., away from roads and out of si

Train traveling from Kingfisher derails in Texas; heat could be factor
MINEOLA, Texas — A freight train derailment in rural East Texas has left 18 grain-hauling cars off the tracks as Union Pacific officials review whether heat was a factor.
MINEOLA, Texas (AP) — A freight train derailment in rural East Texas has left 18 grain-hauling cars off the tracks as Union Pacific officials review whether heat was a factor.
UP spokeswoman Raquel (ruh-KEL') Espinoza says crews are working to clear the tracks, several miles east of Mineola (min-ee-OH'-luh), but it would likely be Saturday before the line reopens.
She says nobody was hurt Thursday afternoon in the derailment of a train made up of four locomotives and 99 cars, traveling from Kingfisher, Okla., to Westwego, La.
Espinoza says the cause of the derailment is sought, but heat will be considered. The National Weather Service says the temperature in the area reached 109 degrees.
Some hopper cars overturned, spilling grain. Espinoza didn't immediately have a damage estimate.
Mineola is 75 miles east of Dallas.

Train derails near Sabin
SABIN, Minn. – Nine rail cars were off their tracks Saturday afternoon after a BNSF Railway train derailed about 10 miles south of Moorhead in rural Clay County.
SABIN, Minn. – Nine rail cars were off their tracks Saturday afternoon after a BNSF Railway train derailed about 10 miles south of Moorhead in rural Clay County.
The accident occurred around 1:30 p.m., less than a mile north of Hoff Lutheran Church, said Deputy Mike Trygg of the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
Trygg said the nine cars that came off the track had not been hauling cargo, and no injuries were reported. He said there was no hazardous waste spilled.
Amy McBeth, a spokeswoman for BNSF, said the cause of the accident was not yet known but was being investigated. She said crews expected to have the track cleared and the line repaired by early this afternoon.
On average, 10 cars per day travel that stretch of track, McBeth said. The train that derailed had 33 cars loaded and 31 without a load and was heading to Minot, N.D., coming north from Minneapolis, she said. It was hauling a variety of types of freight, she said.
A long string of rail cars that had been connected to those that derailed still sat on the track north of the site of the accident about two hours after the incident, which blocked access across 100th Avenue South where it crosses the track.
McBeth said she wasn’t sure how long it would be before those cars would be released to continue north.

All train cancelled in Bekasi
BEKASI: Operators of Bekasi’s railway station cancelled dozens of train trips on Sunday after a train derailed in Jatinegara Station, blocking the lines for trips from the eastern part of Jakarta.
http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2011/08/08/all-train-cancelled-b...Deputy head at Bekasi Station, Dwi Effendi, said the train derailed on Saturday night, prompting the trip cancellations from early on Sunday.
“We announced the cancellations since dawn [on Sunday],” Dwi said as quoted by kompas.com.
The cancellations prompted passengers to take other means of transportation to get to Jakarta.
The majority of passengers took intercity buses to downtown Jakarta, while others journeyed on diesel-powered trains bound for Senen railway station in Central Jakarta.
The train’s derailment in Jatinegara station also affected trains coming into the station from West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta and East Java. Most incoming travellers experienced at least a 30-minute delay, kompas.com reported.

Now heatwave 'causes' train to derail amid fears 100F-plus temperatures warped tracks as thousands of heat records were set last month
Last updated at 11:50 PM on 8th August 2011
A freight train derailed in drought-hit Texas could have come off the line due to warped tracks caused by the state's relentless heatwave after it experienced its hottest July on record.
Thousands of heat records were set during July across the country with Oklahoma racking up the country's highest monthly average temperature ever.
That's the highest average temperature, for any month, for any state, at 89.1 degrees, topping an average of 88.1 set in July 1954, associate Oklahoma state climatologist Gary McManus said.
Mr McManus said: 'We've been beating temperature records left and right, from the 1930s Dust Bowl drought and the 1950s drought.'
He also revealed that nationwide, in the past 30 days, 3,709 high temperature records have been set or tied.
Extreme drought: Texans have endured over a month of extreme heat and drought
And, worse, there have been 7,410 records for overnight warmth broken or tied, meaning less chance to recover from the sweltering daytime readings.
'This has been a devastating year,' National Weather Service director Jack Hayes said. 'Natural disasters are on the rise in the United States,' he noted, including records for heat, tornadoes, floods and fires, and with the bulk of hurricane season still remaining.
And it appears that with the end of August did not come the end of the heatwave. Waco, Texas, tied its record for the most consecutive days of 105 degrees or more at six from August 1 to 6.
And Dallas-Fort Worth is on pace to establish a new record for consecutive 100-degree days. It's currently at 38 days, from July 2 to August 8
The July average for Texas was 87.1 degrees.
Power officials had warned last week of rolling blackouts in the state as sweltering residents turned to air conditioning units in unprecedented numbers.
The current heat wave is typical of U.S. heat waves in the past decade and is consistent with the increasing warm summer night time extremes observed across much of the country since the late 20th century, NOAA reported.

Update: NJ Transit hoping for smoother commute Wednesday
NJ Transit officials are hoping for a smoother commute Wednesday morning following a train derailment that sent commuters scrambling for alternative routes into and out of New York on Tuesday.
Two cars on a 10-car train derailed around 8 a.m. shortly after leaving Penn Station. The trains were using the north tube, which carries trains out of New York.
An estimated 300 people – none of whom were in the derailed cars – were moved to another train, and there were no injuries, said Penny Bassett Hackett, spokeswoman for the transit agency.
NJ TRANSIT is operating limited service on the Northeast Corridor and North Jersey Coast line Tuesday evening, and will continue to route Midtown Direct trains to and from Hoboken Terminal.
NJ Transit rail tickets and passes will be honored on NJ Transit buses, private carrier buses and PATH trains at Newark, Hoboken and New York for the remainder of the day.
For advisories and other travel information, visit:
The north tube was shut down and all NJ Transit and Amtrak trains – which share a pair of tunnels in and out of the city – were restricted to the south tube.
The derailed cars remained inside the north tube after the evening commute. NJ Transit planned to use a crane to retrieve them overnight. Bassett Hackett said the agency did not want to remove the car during the commute and create more delays. Normal service is expected to resume in time for today’s morning rush, she said.
NJ Transit canceled several trains on both the Northeast Corridor and North Jersey Coast Line on Tuesday to minimize the use of the single track, but delays of up to 90 minutes tested the patience of customers, many of whom had to hustle to catch the PATH to Hoboken.
Passengers used social media to vent about the delays. After getting an NJ Transit notification about the delays, one Twitter user wrote, “YEAH! @NJT_Advisory is delayed this evening too. Woo hoo! Consistency is a good thing. But not in

2nd train in week derails in NYC; disrupts commute
NEW YORK — A train has derailed in New York City and disrupted the evening commute for the second time in a week. No injuries were reported.
The Long Island Rail Road and New Jersey Transit say an Amtrak train slipped off the rails at the Sunnyside train storage yard in Queens Thursday. Both railways were reporting track changes and delays up to 30 minutes at Penn Station because of the derailment.
An Amtrak spokesman could not be reached for comment.
Two cars of a New Jersey Transit train derailed Tuesday as it was leaving Penn Station and heading into the tunnel under the Hudson River.
Authorities were forced to shut down the tunnel, disrupting train traffic throughout the Northeast. The train was finally cleared and the track repaired around noon on Wednesday.
