New Madrid

There has been much made of an earthquake in the recent past long the New Madrid fault line, as this was unexpected, being in a quiescent area, and thus raised all manner of questions regarding the possibility of massive earthquakes in areas presumed to be safe. Simply put, there are no earthquake free areas, and during the coming pole shift, all parts of the globe will be subject to them, without exception. Thus, individuals living in areas which have never experienced an earthquake should not presume safety but should take the same steps in preparing for the pole shift that those living atop highly active fault lines take - stay out of old or masonry buildings, and anticipate earthquakes as severe as any that mankind has ever experienced and noted.

ZetaTalk

Our description on the pole shift itself describes not a single jolt when the crust stops moving but a series of jolts. Most severe earthquakes are like this, in fact, if one examines their pattern. There are small quakes ahead of time, swarms, and jiggling that unsettles people as they sense something is pending. Then when the rock fingers that are preventing the fault line from sliding or subducting suddenly break, a large jolt. This often, within minutes, results in more jolts as the pressure that was at one point now moves to be pressure at the next point where rock fingers are holding the slippage. Aftershocks result, as yet more rock fingers break, until a point arrives where there is so much resistance to slippage that the quake and its after effects is considered complete.

For the New Madrid, which will include the European tsunami in its effects, there will be one large jolt with a subsequent and almost immediate tearing of the Atlantic. We have stated that the European tsunami will be the largest, but smaller ones will follow in time. Likewise for the New Madrid adjustment, which involve a tearing of the entire N American continent from the seaway down to Mexico. This adjustment will not occur until minor rock fingers have been steadily broken in a number of places. The areas to be affected have already been experiencing quake swarms, buckling roadways, sinkholes, breaking dams, and unsettling jigging which is unexplained by the authorities. When the primary blockage gives, there will be a huge jolt, with little warning. Aftershocks will continue until the time of the pole shift itself.

ZetaTalk ™ 2010

It is known by man that the New Madrid Fault line runs beyond the immediate area of New Madrid. When we stated that "Chicago will rupture and adjust" and "Ohio will be pulled in places" this should not be news to man. The New Madrid runs up along the Seaway, to the mouth of the Seaway, and thus will rupture any land it passes through. Plot its course and consider that more than the fault line itself will be disrupted. Rock detached from its former connections is free to react to the dominant theme in the area. If rock was held down, formerly, it can bounce up. If rock was held back, it is free to spring forward. And adjustment in rock strata means that loose soil will sink or heave. This most certainly can affect a broader area than just the fault line. We have stated that Ohio will be affected most in this regard. These matters are related to the rock strata, which bonds or breaks, as we have stated. There is a natural break in the rock strata holding Ohio, along the Ohio River and into its headwaters, as can be seen. Why should Chicago be affected? There is a natural break in the rock strata between the New Madrid and Chicago also, a weakness, which will rupture with the New Madrid. When the Seaway pulls apart there will be a dropin support formerly present during rock attachments. Chicago has long been predicted, by ourselves and others, to be devastated. Much of the infrastructure will rupture, causing buildings to crumble and freeways to be worthless and irreparable. One need only follow the geology of the region, to predict what will happen.

ZetaTalk ™ 2010

During the 7 of 10 New Madrid adjustment the Seaway will be affected, as we mentioned earlier. It will not tear open to the degree we predicted for the pole shift itself, but weak points along the Seaway will adjust. During the 7 of 10 Duluth will find crevasses nearby, similar to the crevasse that has occurred recently in the Michigan Penninsula, but with greater depth and scope. Inland locks along the Seaway will break. Detroit and Toronto will be unaffected during the 7 of 10 except of course for earthquake damage. As the New Madrid fault line runs up along the Seaway just under the Great lakes in Ohio, cities such as Cleveland and Toledo will find their infrastructure greatly shattered in places as the rock beneath them will jut and drop, vertical adjustments. Buffalo, being virtually on the fault line, will likewise be shattered in this way, such that freeways become useless, but the seaway at Niagara Falls will remain.

ZetaTalk ™ 2010

As both sides of the New Madrid Fault Line are pulled in opposite directions, the entire fault line operates as a slip-slide fault line. In that the land just to the west of the Mississippi River moves the greatest distance, to ease the pressure on the bow currently formed by the N American continent, this creates a void, a stretch zone void, causing the land there to drop, as we have explained. This is the region currently experiencing precursor earthquakes, the region considered the New Madrid region. But the movement is not yet happening, the void not yet being created. Instead, occasional slight slip-slide adjustments are being made, deep within the rock strata, causing minor quake swarms or sympathetic jolts in neighboring areas. The rock fingers are slipping, but not losing their grip.

When the plate tearing starts in earnest, these slip-slide jolts will be huge, and rise up to the magnitude 8-9 range, as we have stated. These quakes will ride up to the bend in the fault line just south of Lake Michigan. Earthquake damage is primarily done when the rock close to the surface is affected, as is known by man. The quality of the rock along the fault line thus affects the shaking and resulting damage to the surface. A glance at a map of the geology of the fault line shows that the rock along the Mississippi at Arkansas and Missouri is younger, laid down by sediment, and tends to fracture broadly, thus relaying earthquake jolts over a vast area. Broad fractures also cause post quake adjustments, so the quake includes rock shuffling, all of which translates to a larger magnitude for the area. Thus, the worst of the New Madrid adjustment will be felt in this area.

The rock strata that hold Illinois and Indiana is older, and more solid. Fracturing of the rock tends to be a single jolt, not the multiple ricocheting jolts that magnify any adjustment in the rock strata experienced by the rock strata in Arkansas and Missouri. The magnitude will still be considered high, perhaps an 8, but the shaking will not last as long, and the damage therefore not as great. Were the bend in the fault line just south of Lake Michigan not at a point where the southeastern part of the US is dropping away from the Seaway, the damage along the Seaway would be much greater. The Equator is expanding in the center of the Atlantic, and has already, by this time, ripped open between S America and Africa. The southeast thus drops toward this void, relieving pressure and friction along the slip-slide in the fault line as it runs under the Seaway.

By the time the New Madrid adjustment reaches the bend, land to the west of the Mississippi has already dropped, pulled away, but this actually puts more pressure on the fault line as it runs under Michigan. This holds, momentarily, while the southeast starts to drop toward the Atlantic Rift, and then pulls apart sharply. Here, beneath Michigan, the jolts will also not last for long, and will also be considered up to magnitude 8. The fault line thence along the Seaway will unzip, along rock strata borders already established. Where stretch zones such as this normally have adjustments that are basically silent, they do much damage. The unzipping creates crevasses and landslides and sinkholes, and when this occurs under cities is devastating. The quakes will be considered much less than magnitude 8 but the damage will be greater, with consequent lost of life and infrastructure. A building that has collapsed because of a large jolt is no different than one that has collapsed because the ground beneath it sank.

As is known, there is a fault line running up along the East Coast of the US that attaches to the New Madrid fault line in the Gulf. Both fault lines touch there, in the Gulf, and when the New Madrid adjusts there is a sympathetic adjustment up along this fault line. During the last New Madrid adjustment, church bells rang in Boston and cracks appeared in buildings in Savannah, GA and Charleston, SC. These changes are caused by earthquakes equivalent to a magnitude 4-5 or less, not serious.

I was wondering if the Zetas could comment on whether the devastation caused by the New Madrid fault adjustment would be so severe as to separate the Eastern side of the U.S. from it's Western side? Will this force the people living on the Eastern side to remain there and vice versa for the West?

What you will have up until the pole shift, up until the rotation actually comes to a stop, that degree of stress on the crust, will be fault lines adjusting in the predictable manner we have described in the Scripted Drama where we have described the stress on the N American plate where it cannot turn. Therefore it must be held firm at the top, with Mexico going to the West and Main going to the East, pulled at a diagonal. You will find bridges breaking because the Eastern half of the New Madrid fault line, which runs all the way from Houston up into Cincinnati and Ohio and the St Lawrence Seaway, will find itself moving North, while the Western side of this fault line will find itself moving slightly South. And therefore, the bridge simply won't meet in the middle, but will be torn. Not every bridge will be so affected, depending on just where it crosses the Mississippi so that there will be alternative routes, and certainly those that are torn will be frantically repaired as it would interfere so much with commerce and traffic. Or perhaps temporary ferries will be placed.

But the worry that travel won't be possible won't really happen until we have increased stress on the crust and that would be the week of rotation stoppage in which the core is attempting to turn and the crust is resisting but they are attempting to stay together as one unit. The thick magma causing the core to be glued to the crust, or visa versa, and therefore the stress is greatly acerbated. It is during that week that you will have imploding cities, bursting gas mains and buckling roadways, so that travel will become impossible. In that week also, there will be so much interference from the tail wafting toward Earth that satellites will be nonfunctioning and communications at a standstill. For that reason, we advise people to be in there safe areas before rotation rolls to a stop, and not delay when the various Earth changes are apparent, because you will find you cannot travel that week.

When the the New Madrid goes, will it be the big one that widens the Mississippi River as much as 100 miles across, or will there be a series of large quakes as we progress in to the shift? I live in the Smokey mountains, so know that we will be prety much on our own when the time comes.

The New Madrid adjustment will affect so much area, in a domino manner, that it will not be a single large quake, but a series, separated by weeks and months. The primary adjustment will be within days, after shocks for weeks, but months later still, adjustments. The New Madrid is associated with fault lines that run up toward the Great Lakes, Chicago will adjust and rupture, Ohio will be pulled in places, and as we have explained, the land to the West of the Mississippi will sink in places. There is a known fault line that runs from the center of the Gulf up along the East Coast, thus the effect in 1811-12 in the Carolinas and DC on up to Boston. Then, as we have explained, there will be a bow from San Diego out to Arizona, which will rupture the great dam on the Colorado. When this bow, which forces Mexico too far to the West for the comfort of the West Coast, adjustes, it will be a slip-slide adjustment of the San Andreas and related fault lines up the coast.

There were landslides/sinkholes in San Diego and Pennsylvania this past week. Are these more early symptoms of the Bowing and damage that the US will see prior to the New Madrid rip, per the Zetas? http://ap.google.com/article/ [and from another] SoCal Sinkhole Swallows Highway, Home [Oct 3] http://abcnews.go.com/US/story?id=3683995&page=1 A four-lane road buckled Wednesday and sank slowly in a hilly upscale neighborhood, threatening several homes. Gas and power supplies were shut off. The sinkhole in the La Jolla neighborhood of million-dollar homes cut in a cone shape and was about 50 yards long. Street cracking began on Soledad Mountain Road in July and escalated in August, along with breaks in water and gas lines.

We have repeatedly warned that the US southwest was going to undergo a bowing stress, a situation that would last until the N American continent adjusted by a diagonal rip along the extended New Madrid Fault line, which includes fracturing from New England through the Midwest and down into Mexico. Until that adjustment occurs, Mexico is tugged to the west, causing a bow to form along the West Coast. The bow causes compression at its center, at the San Andreas Fault line near San Diego, and expansion inland. This bow is what caused the Utah mine collapse, as we explained at the time. Indirectly, this bow is what caused the Minneapolis bridge collapse, as it forces the St. Lawrence Seaway to open, causing adjustments all the way to the Black Hills of S. Dakota.

San Diego is comprised of lowlands, as the nearby presence of the Salton Sea shows. This area will compress more than land to the north, as the rock is now less thick as it has proved to be pliable in the past, and distended. San Diego is thus due for a grinding action, a tumbling action, as the bow comes under increasing stress. When the New Madrid Fault line adjusts, the stress on this bow will relax but another nightmare will emerge - new adjustments along the San Andreas Fault line. Now the western half of the N American continent is free to jut to the west, at a diagonal, so slip-slide all along the San Andreas Fault line will occur for some time. We have mentioned that a rip will occur from San Diego up through Mammoth Lake in California and on up toward Yellowstone at some point. As one can see from a topographical map, there is already a rift along this path, where ripping has occurred before. This too is awaiting the San Diego area, which will by that time be an almost unlivable area.

When the New Madrid quake happened the last time it took a bit of time for the ocean-like-waves to roll to places like Detroit, Boston and Charleston. In Detroit they could hear it coming and it rang church bells in Boston and Charleston. Since the type of quake will be different will the waves that so many people noted in their journals at the time (1811-1812) be the same and maybe allow some warning to go out?

When major earthquakes occur, it is because rock that has been resisting suddenly is broken. It has been demonstrated that the last major adjustment in the New Madrid ran along other fault lines, one arriving along the eastern seaboard from a radiating point in the Gulf, and others traveling along the western flank of the Appalachian Mountains. Certainly there is a slight time difference, but it is unlikely that phone calls would be made from the epicenter, and any warning would need to rely on seismologists giving the alert based on what they see on their charts. It is even less likely that evacuation of fragile buildings would occur in time. If you fear the coming adjustments in cities in the US that have hardly been retrofitted for such major quakes, you must make adjustments in your own life. Don't live or work in masonry or brick buildings, old buildings, or cityscapes, etc. The danger from quakes will not go away, but will increase until the hour of the pole shift.

A 51-year-old steel truss bridge over the Mississippi River in St. Cloud, Minn., was abruptly shut down on Thursday after inspectors found that its gusset places were bending - a problem similar to the one believed to have critically weakened the Interstate 35W bridge that collapsed in Minneapolis in August. Inspectors examining the bridge that carries Highway 23 in St. Cloud found a problem similar to the one on a collapsed bridge. [and from another] Via Email 3/22: Another large bridge was closed yesterday in Minnesota. This one also crosses the Mississippi, and is located in St Cloud. This bridge follows that geographical fracture line 'split' through the state, which is mostly solid granite. I am somewhat directly between the two areas of concern, located at K-17 on the map. The rotten egg/sulfur smell is back, and I'm picking up a high pitched frequency in my teeth, akin to a sonic dental tool. This frequency is different than the one I could feel before the 35W collapse, I could feel that through my whole body, this one I feel in my mouth and sinus cavity.

This is clear evidence of continuing adjustments affecting Minnesota. It is the diagonal pull on the N American continent which is causing this stretch adjustment, which is silent but just as deadly as an earthquake. The infrastructure is pulling apart! We stated that bridges on the Mississippi would be devastated when the New Madrid Fault adjusted, and that such adjustments would occur in steps, not just a single large quake. Here's more proof of the accuracy of our predictions!

Living in the middle of North Carolina with lots of clay just under the topsoil of my neighborhood I am concerned about the recent earthquakes associated with the New Madrid fault. I know the Zeta's have said it will start slowly and am wondering if yesterday was the start? Am hoping the mountains between the New Madrid fault and where I live in the middle of North Carolina will offer some protection from the initial mega-quake but I think the problems afterward with the distribution of goods is of equal concern.

We have stated that the earthquakes that will occur before the last weeks will not simply be a few big ones, but a steady increase. Certainly the recent quake along the Indiana/Illinois border is a start. As is well known the New Madrid Fault line has many associated fault lines, among them one that leads to the Gulf and thence back up from the Gulf along the eastern side of the Appalachian Mountains. This is why the cities in middle Tennessee did not get damaged as much during the last big New Madrid quake as those up along the eastern seaboard. All this is quake history and can be researched.

    ———————————————

Last week a swarm of over 600 earthquakes hit the Oregon coast. I recall a larger swarm in 2005 and scientists stated the fault line running up the coast from California to Vancouver Island was similar to the Sumatran fault that ruptured in 2004. Are earthquake swarms definite precursors to major adjustments or are they only indications of magma movement, akin to pre-volcanic eruptions? Did they happen in the Sumatra region prior to the 2004 quake? If this fault adjusts, are the Zetas allowed to tell if it will adjust before or after the New Madrid releases? [and from another] Mysterious "Swarm" of Quakes Strikes Oregon Waters [Apr 16] http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2008/04/080416-oregon-quakes.html This weekend scientists will take to the water to try to puzzle out the cause of a "swarm" of mysterious earthquakes that has shaken the seafloor near Oregon in recent weeks. About 600 earthquakes have been recorded in a small region about 190 nautical miles (350 kilometers) offshore from Yachats. Most of the temblors were small, about magnitude 2 or 3, although a few were magnitude 4 or 5.

We have predicted New Madrid Fault type adjustments before major West Coast adjustments. This of course does not mean that no activity will happen along the West Coast. The small plate off the coast of Oregon is not similar to the Sumatra region. In Sumatra, the Indo-Australian plate is moving as a whole, ripping the entire northern edge of the plate as it does so. One end of the Indo-Australian plate is lifting, while the other is plunging. Off the coast of Oregon, the Juan de Fuca plate is being compressed, on both sides. Pressure, before movement, expresses as a tremble, which is registered as a quake swarm. When subduction on one side or the other occurs, this tremble stops until the pressure builds again.

    ———————————————

Does Illinois quake this have anything to do with the New Madrid stretch?

Various adjustments have occurred in the stretch zone affecting the eastern half of the N American continent - the Minneapolis bridge collapse, a sinking piling on the Memphis bridge, and now this Illinois quake. Add to this all the sinkholes in Florida and Pennsylvania, and the derailing trains that have occurred in 2004 and 2005. Then there are the broken roads along the Gulf in Texas, and yawing crevasses opening in Mexico and Arizona in the past few years. The New Madrid is just another fault line, subject to the diagonal pull that is tearing much of the N American continent apart. All these Earth changes are related, thus.

    ———————————————

Can you then say anything as to why this Illinois quake suddenly occured out of nowhere? All of a sudden I thought I heard a thud, but thought maybe it was my sister-in-law downstairs about the time I was on GLP about 4:30 to 6:00 in the early mourning hours when the earthquake hit. And then many many threads coming in and they were confirmed that other people thought they were imagining things but when others confirmed this then they were more calm about the matter I believe. So anyways how much damage was done? The authorities/governments/news are stating minor damage/no reports of major injuries that I'm aware of.

For those unused to earthquakes, the sudden occurrence may be a shock. For those who are familiar with quake aspects, this is not unexpected. Quakes are sudden, and other than various signs that can clue those in the region to be affected that rock is under stress, they give no warning!

Can the zetas comment on the extent that crust adjustments (impending New Madrid most notably) that happen in North America well prior to the shift will impact survival preparations? Will transportation and industry be disrupted to such an extent after the partial N American rip that will precede the pole shift that the ability of people to prepare will be greatly or completely reduced? I foresee a possible knock on effect involving transportation, industrial production, financial issues, social issues, governmental rules, etc. that may effectively preclude many types of new additional preparatory activities after such a rip occurs.

We have stated that emergency management teams will be exhausted, at all levels, and that the troops will be secretly returned to the homeland from Iraq and many bases around the world to help with the disasters at home. We have stated that New Madrid and associated fault lines will tear most of the bridges that cross the Mississippi River, and that this type of disruption will occur before the pole shift itself. Much of what you are questioning falls into the realm of being in the hands of man, which as we have endlessly stated we cannot predict with accuracy. Man has free will, and leadership could fall into many different hands, depending upon many different factors. Thus, government rules, how social welfare is managed, could go in many different directions and may be treated differently by different locales. You can speculate on the outcome as well as we, so we decline to speculate.

You have mentioned the diagonal shift from the Great Lakes to the Gulf in Mexico. What about the Continental Divide that goes up through New Mexico vertically, north south? Will it divide or tear? Big mountains there

After the New Madrid area adjusts, the bowing in the N American continent that encompasses the whole of the West Coast from Alaska to the tip of Mexico will be allowed to relax. This will create slip-slide along the San Andreas Fault line. To the extent that this forces mountain building, pushing the Continental Divide to the east, disruption along the Continental Divide can likewise occur.

When the New Madrid fault zone finally ruptures before the shift how devastating will it be for people in the Chicago area.

Chicago is in a tenuous position for many reason, some of which we have enumerated in the past. Chicago has tunnels under the city by which Lake Michigan water was furnished to canals that floated barges to the Mississippi River. Even though these barges are no longer in use, the tunnels are still there, and vulnerable. When the pole shift happens, and to a certain extent when earthquakes affect the area, these tunnels will rupture and create a torrent through the city. There are no fault lines that would make Chicago more vulnerable than other Great Lake cities, but damage by water should be anticipated.

Yellowstone question. How far underground does the magna extend? Are there other effects other than an actual full blown eruption that may occur from this location? This seems a likely area that an inland plate would be located. [and from another] Quakes feed fears of Yellowstone eruption. Park's alert level still 'normal', but non-official Web sites spread warnings. Cheyenne, Wyoming. - Run for your lives - Yellowstone's going to explode! Hundreds of small earthquakes at Yellowstone National Park in recent weeks have been an unsettling reminder for some people that underneath the park's famous geysers and majestic scenery lurks one of the world's biggest volcanoes. [and from another] If Yellowstone is starting activity, have other sites like Yellowstone started activity also?

We have stated that Yellowstone will not erupt until the last weeks, and then only be what is termed a regular volcano, not a supervolcano. We have stated that magma oozing on the surface will not be apparent until the last weeks, with plenty of warning in this regard. We have stated that all volcanoes active within the last 10,000 years should be expected to blow during the pole shift. Just when this or that volcano will become active prior to the pole shift, we are not allowed to say.

Is this just a well dug to close to natural gas or is there something else causing this? [and from another] Cause of 'Fire Water' Still Unknown http://www.9news.com/news/local/article.aspx?storyid=112723&catid=346 The state agency that regulates oil and gas says although there is some evidence methane may have contaminated a private well in rural Weld County, they're not sure why the family's tap water ignites when a lighter is put to it.

Texas is in the stretch zone, and methane is released in this area. During Earth fart day some years ago, when the smell of methane was evident from London, across the US, and in Australia. Austin, Texas had many birds dropping dead. This was from the methane gas. The Earth fart day had methane smells all the way to Duluth, MN and west to North Dakota. The N American continent stands alone in the stress it experiences because of a diagonal pull. At present there is a bow formed around southern California, causing stress all the way to the Aleutian Islands and south to the tip of Mexico. This bow was the cause of the mining disaster in Utah. The bow has not yet adjusted, so this stress continues to the east, affecting the rock structure in Colorado.
