We'll be seeing an uptick in unusual home and business gas explosions and I'm trying to locate specific ZT on the matter.  Below is a refresher for the many gas related news articles.

Fault lines, when adjusting, do not just rip apart one day during a dramatic earthquake. They most often creep. Laying gas lines along or across a fault line is asking for an accident of this sort. Fault lines are also seldom so clearly delineated that one can go a mile in this or that direction and avoid their action. Where a slip-slide fault such as the San Andreas will often leave a clear line on the surface, this is only the surface action, not what occurs in the rock layers on either side which can fracture for a long way to either side during any movement. The gas company, or the age of the pipes, will be faulted but in truth the finger should be pointed in many directions. The public, who insist on living at such a scenic spot, is to blame. Officials, who zoned for housing are to blame. The public utility company, for allowing gas lines in the area, is to blame. But this will change nothing, while man continues to live on the San Andreas, even as it awakens. EOZT

The danger from radon gas will not be increased as a result of the pole shift. Radon gas is emitted by rock containing uranium, which is degrading. In normal circumstances, where air can circulate, it is disbursed rapidly as is any methane created by decay of organic material. The danger from these gasses comes from confinement - being trapped in a mine, a basement, or beneath the permafrost. The dangers are well known. For methane, it is explosions. An accumulation of methane gas can be identified by the smell of rotten eggs, or as some have described it, dirty socks or cabbage soup. For radon gas the danger is lung cancer, from the continual exposure to the radioactive air. Radon gas is odorless, and cannot be detected except by specialized equipment not in the hands of the average person.

In that the pole shift, or the Earth changes preceding the pole shift, can fracture rock and release pockets of either gas, survivors should be cautious about huddling in bunkers. You are safer out in the open air, or in a trench you have dug that will allow the pole shift winds to pass over you, but nothing to fall on and crush you. The fact that both methane gas and radon gas can accumulate in the bunkers of the elite is one of the reasons we have stated that they have dug their own graves. EOZT

Anyone watching the news, for instance the news on the San Bruno explosion in a distribution line close to the San Andreas Fault line, knows that gas in any form is a danger. Oil and gas refineries explode when rigid piping cracks. Oil or gas wells explode when the ground around them moves. And the gas distribution lines running under cities are no exception. They likewise will explode. Gas lines, whether along the street or within a home, are rigid. In some cases automatic shutoff valves can limit the amount of gas available for an explosion by sensing a drop in pressure, but this is always after the fact. The explosion has already occurred. Utilizing gas on a planet prone to earthquakes was a mistake to begin with, but man never thinks of the consequences when striving for modern conveniences. We have advised turning off the gas at the street, though when the street explodes and your neighbor's homes are on fire you are not likely to escape the holocaust. A better alternative is to live in an area where gas is not available, as in your rural safe location where you will be doing a form of camping while gardening. A campfire at night, for cooking and washing and a bit of friendly light before bed. Nothing explosive. EOZT

SOZT Answer: It is no accident that the New Madrid fault lies under the Mississippi River near Memphis, as rivers form in lowlands created when land pulls apart, separating the rock fingers and weakening support for the land. Thus, the Ohio River bed also is an indication of where rock fingers will pull apart. Two adjustments in Kentucky, a day apart, are not an accident, but an indication of the speed at which the stretch zone is starting to adjust. Rail lines are frequently an early harbinger of such adjustments, as they run long distances, whereas structures within cities, such as tall buildings, take up relatively little space and have a small footprint. Our warning that imploding cities will be experienced, before the hour of the shift, are in this regard. Be warmed, it will not just be your rail lines and gas and water mains that will shatter and be pulled apart during the stretch. The foundations of your tall buildings will likewise be vulnerable.EOZT

(CNN) -- A gas main explosion in Philadelphia Tuesday evening killed one utilities worker and injured five other people, a fire department official said.

Philadelphia Gas Works employees were responding to a gas main break in the city's Tacony neighborhood when the explosion occurred, fire department spokesman Jim Smith said.

"They were trying to control it and found a source of ignition," according to Smith, who said four PGW employees and a firefighter were among the injured. He said some of the gas workers' injuries were serious.

Officials said the death toll in a rubber slipper factory fire in a suburb of the Philippines’ capital had climbed to at least 72 on Thursday as police continued to retrieve charred bodies from the gutted building. Dozens more remained missing and feared dead.

A fierce blaze quickly took hold of the Kentex Manufacturing Corp factory in Valenzuela city north of Manila on Wednesday. On Thursday Eduardo Nazar, village council chief of Ugong where the factory is located, said: “The [police forensic officers] will do all they can to identify the victims because they are totally burned.”
The flames were so intense that even jewellery the victims wore that might have helped with their identification had melted in the heat or fallen off, Nazar said.

The local mayor, Rex Gatchalian, said retrieval of the remains resumed on Thursday after it was suspended late on Wednesday because of the heat and worries about the instability of the two-storey building.

Huge Charlton warehouse fire threatens

Firefighters are tackling a fire that has broken out at a warehouse in south-east London.

London Fire Brigade (LFB) said it received reports of a fire at 4.08pm at the retail park in Lombard Wall, Charlton, close to the Thames Barrier.

Ten fire engines and more than 70 firefighters are at the scene to tackle the blaze but a spokesperson said more will probably be needed to fully extinguish the flames.

Huge swathes of black smoke could be seen emitting from the area as the fire burned, with it drifting towards London City Airport on the opposite bank of the River Thames. The LFB is telling people who live or work nearby to close their doors and windows.

2 Dead, a Dozen Injured in Qingdao Hotel Gas Explosion

At least two people are dead and a dozen have been hospitalized after an explosion occurred at a hotel in the eastern Chinese city of Qingdao, Shandong Province, early Tuesday morning.

A gas explosion in the southern district of Qingdao struck at the Yihe Xizhong Chain Hotel around 5 a.m. The injured were rushed to hospital; according to official reports, none of the injuries found so far are life-threatening.

The accident is still under investigation.

Emergency services responded to an explosion at a gas field in the Yamal Peninsula following an accident during drill works.

A total of 12 firefighters were called to the scene at Bovanenkovo on Sunday morning after an operation to dig a well accidentally breached gas reserves.

It happened as workers were taking part in an exercise to lay specialist equipment 100 metres below the ground. Fortunately no-one was injured in the incident, which sent flames shooting 15 metres into the sky.

According to Gazprom Dobycha Nadym, a Gazprom subsidiary which controls work at Bovanenkovo, it was not a working well.

A statement said: 'During drilling of a well for the installation of a deep anode bed, builders came across a shallow gas lens. There was a gas explosion.

'This incident has no relation to the process of gas extraction, or exploration.'

The fire was extinguished by the evening and now the drilling rig is in the process of being cooled down.

It is not the first accident on the Yamal gas fields. In January this year, a fire broke out in the Severo-Gubkinskoye field, with a special military group brought in to help fight the blaze.

Texas gas well explodes in a fireball when struck by lightning

In recent years, the ground throughout "Tornado Alley" has become pockmarked with oil and natural gas drilling infrastructure, as the process known as hydraulic fracturing, or "fracking," has taken off in states like Texas and Oklahoma. Fracking has enabled the United States to surge to No. 1 in the world for oil production and to become a major player in the natural gas industry.

But at least occasionally, it turns out that severe thunderstorms and natural gas wells don't make for a good combination. Case in point: on Thursday night, a gas well exploded in a fireball due to a lightning strike at a Vantage Energy site in Denton, Texas. (It's not clear if that particular well was a fracked well or a more conventional well.)

According to the CBS-TV affiliate in Dallas, the accident happened at about 10 p.m. local time on Thursday. The drilling site had been shut down, the station reports, "due to low production."

A second gas well next to the explosion site was producing natural gas, but Vantage Energy workers and Denton Fire Department personnel were able to prevent the fire from spreading. The gas well fire burned until 2:30 a.m. local time, the station reports.

Luckily, no injuries were reported.

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Two contractors attempting to remove an underground oil tank outside a home in Westchester County were killed when the tank exploded, said police.

SkyFoxHD was overhead where several streets were blocked off and a portion of the house at 65 Hillside Avenue was surrounded by police tape in Hastings-On-Hudson Thursday.

Firefighters and police on the scene carefully inspected the area where the oil tank had been stored and, several feet away, where a portion of the blown-out tank landed. 

The deadly explosion occurred at about 11:30 a.m. 

The identities of those killed have not yet been made public by police.

MANHOLE EXPLOSIONS CAUSE STREET CLOSURES IN MIDTOWN MANHATTAN

MIDTOWN (WABC) --Con Edison says explosions blew the covers of two manholes in Midtown Manhattan Wednesday morning.

It happened at Eighth Avenue and 35th Street, with one of the manholes belonging to Verizon and the other a Cablevision service box.

Witnesses say they heard the two loud back to back explosions, and the force of the blasts made nearby buildings along the street shake.

Eighth Avenue is closed between West 34th and West 35th Street as Con Edison investigates what happened.

No buildings have been evacuated at this time.

The MTA says the incident is not having an impact on subway service.

There were also multiple manhole fires at 38th Street and 8th Avenue. Firefighters quickly put out those blazes, and no one was hurt.

Withesses said it was a close call. "People were running," said Steve Czarnacki. "When the second manhole exploded there was a man just about to walk there, and when it exploded he ran back in the other direction and people started running everywhere."

"The whole building shook, and at first we didn't know if it was the air conditioning turning on or something but it was a little more extreme apparently," said another witness.

Five dead, 20 injured in Harduaganj thermal power plant blast in UP's Aligarh

Lucknow: In a major mishap at a hydrolic turbine at Harduaganj thermal power station in Aligarh district of Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, a big blast took place which has reportedly so far killed 5 while 20 others were left severely injured.

The officials present there have informed us that the number of causalities may increase further.

Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Govind Agarwal stated after the incident that the accident took place when gas cylinders placed near the turbine blasted off.

The blast has stopped the power generation in the thermal police station while a thorough probe has been ordered into the matter.

Few eye-witnesses have claimed that the explosion in the hydrogen gas cylinders took place when the turbine was being repaired.

The sources have also confirmed that BHEL officials were doing the repair work in Unit 8 of the plant which has been damaged because of the explosion. This unit has been under suspension of work following the due repair work.

However, the Uttar Pradesh government immediately came forward to announce Rs. 10 lakh ex-gratia to the families of each dead in the mishap.

Inferno in the streets as suspected gas explosions kill 24, injure 271 in Taiwan's Kaohsiung

At least 24 people were killed and 271 others injured when several underground gas explosions ripped through Taiwan’s second-largest city overnight, hurling concrete, parked scooters, even injured victims through the air and blasting long trenches in the streets, authorities said on Friday.

The series of explosions about midnight on Thursday and early on Friday struck a district where several petrochemical plans operate pipelines alongside the sewer system in Kaohsiung, a southwestern port with a population of 2.8 million people.

The fires were believed to be caused by a leak of propene, a petrochemical material not intended for public use, but the source of the gas was not immediately clear, officials said.

Video from the TVBS broadcaster showed residents searching for victims in shattered storefronts and rescuers pulling injured people from the rubble of a road and placing them on stretchers while passers-by helped other victims on a sidewalk. Broadcaster ETTV showed rows of large fires sending smoke into the night sky.

Four firefighters were among the 24 dead and 271 people were injured, the National Fire Agency said. The firefighters had been at the scene investigating reports of a gas leak when the explosions occurred, Taiwan’s Central News Agency reported.

At least five blasts shook the city, Taiwan’s Premier Jiang Yi-huah said.

Chang Jia-juch, the director of the Central Disaster Emergency Operation Centre, said the leaking gas was most likely propene, meaning that the resulting fires could not be extinguished by water. He said emergency workers would have to wait until the gas had burnt away.

The source of the leak was unknown, Chang said. 

Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chu said several petrochemical companies have pipelines built along the sewage system in Chian-Chen district, which has both factories and residential buildings.

“Our priority is to save people now. We ask citizens living along the pipelines to evacuate,” Chen told TVBS television.

Power was cut off in the area, making it difficult for firefighters to search for others who might be buried in rubble.

CNA said the local fire department received reports from residents of gas leakage at about 8.46pm and that explosions started around midnight.

Closed-circuit television showed an explosion rippling through the floor of a motorcycle parking area, hurling concrete and other debris through the air. Mobile phone video captured the sound of an explosion as flames leapt at least 9 metres into the air.

One of the explosions left a large trench running down the centre of a road, edged with piles of concrete slabs torn apart by the force of the blast. A damaged motorcycle lay in the crater, and TVBS showed cars flipped over. The force of the initial blast also felled trees lining the street. 

The Hong Kong Immigration Department said it had not received any calls for assistance from Hongkongers in Kaohsiung as of 6am.

Thursday night’s inferno came just a week after a TransAsia Airways plane crash in Taiwan left 48 people dead.

The plane carrying 54 passengers and four crew on a domestic flight plunged into houses in Magong in offshore Penghu islands in stormy weather after a typhoon pounded Taiwan. Two French nationals were among the dead.

In 2012, a man started a fire in a nursing home he lived in southern Tainan city that killed 13 people and injured 60 others.

In 2011, four people were killed and 38 others injured when a truckload of firecrackers exploded in northern Taiwan.The blast, which destroyed a dozen houses, occurred as the truck driver was unloading the firecrackers near a paper shop in New Taipei City.

Seven killed in explosion at coal mine in China

Seven workers were killed and three others injured after a gas explosion in a coal mine in southwest China's Sichuan Province. 

The mine in Fulu Town, Leshan City, was undergoing a safety overhaul when the blast occurred yesterday, state-run Xinhua news agency reported today. 

One person is still missing while the three injured workers have been sent to hospital, as rescue work continues. 

Six people, including the mine's owner, have been detained by the police. 

Nine people were killed and 12 others injured last week by the release of toxic gas following a blast in a coal mine in southwest China's Yunnan Province.
